There's biological low value (short, ugly, average, boring, small penis, etc)

There's social low value (criminal, rejected/outcasted, pedophile, lazy bum, not a hard worker, comes from a shitty background)

There's emotionally/psychologically low value (doesn't know how to be intimate, not fatherly, doesn't want commitment, doesn't know how to relate to women, has little experience with women/relationships, only wants sex, manipulator, psychopath, cluster B personality disordered/severely mentally ill, etc.)

Economically unappealing ( like broke, can't afford dates, has a low paying dead end job, no generational wealth, not educated, fails in school, cheap/stingy, etc. )

All considered bad and low value. Very undesirable for dating and unsuitable for relationships in most cases.

Also, like others have mentioned: smokers, drug users, religious loonies, sexists, misogynists, abusers, immaturity/immature, mgtow/red pill, escapists or fantasists like some guys that play video games or addicted to pr0n .

That would be what women consider a low value man. There's some cross-over there with what a man would consider to be a low value man, but not too much.

In the context of this sub, it means a man whom women do not sexually desire for whatever reason.

Sexually attractive qualities in men include looks, charm/confidence and status. Sometimes intelligence can supplement these qualities, but it’s not typically attractive on its own. It’s also not a quality that is attractive to all women, so it’s a bit of a strange one.

Qualities like money and niceness/generosity and emotional understanding are beta qualities. Women want these qualities too, but they are not sexually attractive. Women desire them in relationships in unison with alpha qualities, though.

A woman’s ideal man has a combination of alpha and beta qualities. A man with a predominance of alpha traits is an “Alpha”. One with a predominance of beta traits and few alpha traits is a “Beta”. And a man without alpha or beta traits is an “Omega”.

Women want to have sex with men who have the alpha traits that they desire. They want to be “friends” with men with many beta traits but few alpha traits, but they don’t want to have sex with them, unless they want to use these men for their money (many women are not users, though). They don’t want anything to do with men who don’t have either alpha or beta traits.

Both Betas and Omegas could be considered “low value men”. “Omegas” are much lower value than “Betas”, though, because they cannot even attract women with resources. A beta can probably find sex with a woman, unlike an omega, but she won’t be enthusiastic about it, will use his resources, and could easily cheat or branch swing on him. An Omega can’t find sex at all unless they scrounge up money for a prostitute, so they are truly the “low value” men.

There is no criteria because you cannot define it. It's a feeling. An emotion. If you feel worthless you will act like you are below others and you will in turn be treated like you are worthless by people around you.

The same way you cannot define what's a high value man. Is it a man who is at least 6' and makes over 100K? What if a man is 5'11.99999" and he makes 99,999.99 a year? What if you can find a shorter man who does well with women or a poorer man who does well with women? Is it a man who has been with at least 100 women? What about the guy who has been with 99? Is there just and arbitrary cut off?Then your criteria and definition will be rendered useless, because any criteria used to measure the worthiness of a human being is inherently corrupt and incorrect.

The only thing that matters is how you feel about yourself. When you feel high value, you will act high value and will be treated as such.

I guess for me someone with a highly promiscuous past would be a turn off, a guy with any active addictions or personality problems. If they were long term unemployed with no good reason i.e. maybe he's engaged in some other personal passion project but if he is just sitting in his underpants all day scratching his arse then that's not attractive. Depends what the crime is but yeah for the most part that's not a plus. My husband only learned to drive a few years ago and it was great when he did but not an issue when he didn't drive or have a car. I think just being unpleasant, negative, cruel etc is a turn off, I remember liking a guy I worked with as a student he was good looking and I quite fancied him until I got to know him, he was rude, sexist, selfish, smoked dope all day everyday, hostile and unkind. I went right off him.

Having kids and not taking care of them is at the top of the list for a LVM for me. That along with multiple baby mothers. Both are a definite sign that the man is not worth a damn.

Criminal history (depending on the crime), drug use, being able bodied and choosing not to having a job, being stingy and cheap, if they have a lot of “crazy” exs, not having a high school diploma.

Personally, I feel it's someone who has no class, is a smoker, does hard drugs or is a stoner, has a criminal record, has a messy apartment or lives in his parents' basement over the age of 25, can't keep it in his pants and cheats in relationships, is divorced although that's pretty much the pool over a certain age, wears ugly and dirty shoes, has red pill, incel, or Islamic views on women and relationships, and/or is in poor shape/overweight.

If you're a young 20-something woman, it's a short, balding, poor, ugly man.

If you're a typical late 30-something/early-40 something year old single FDS woman... it's the above as well as men who are capable of attracting and having sex with lots of women and won't wine and dine you and commit to you.

What we’re largely seeing is what you’d expect to hear from about 90% of women in response to OP’s question; unkind, insensitive, low motivation, broke, unambitious, emotionally out of touch, no life goals, poor personal care and etc etc etc.

But I think the real essence of most questions of this kind are, why am I having trouble with women and/or how can I improve (with concrete instructions) and the problem is, at least in my experience, there is no concrete answer with women. With us men, it’s entirely a different story. But with women, there’s a far more nebulous part where even said women can often not define it so succinctly. It just “is” or it “isn’t” (or so it seems to many men) and that’s where frustration stems from.

I drive a Tesla, I own my house, I have a great job, I’m fairly articulate and well written and well read (studied English in college), I am able to be serious and mature when needed and silly and funny when appropriate.

I strive always to improve myself, I (despite what some may think) do not hate women or resent them, but I also don’t expect or demand anything from them. I try my hardest to always understand the other persons point of view, I strive to communicate rather than expect people to understand where I’m coming from.

I’m a good father. My hygiene is good; I wash, I shave, I brush, I fixed my teeth with braces, I’m not obese, my house and car are kept clean and maintained, I love people and can enjoy going out and doing physical things, enjoy nature, enjoy a night in, enjoy fancy shows or food, I’m affectionate and take great care to please my partner in all aspects. It goes on and on and on and on.

Now I absolutely do not mean to brag, at all. In fact being humble in my opinion is one of the greatest qualities a person can have. But none of this matters in a concrete way. Despite ticking nearly every box in regards to this sort of “high value” discussion, you can’t simply plug this into an equation and pull out success with women. I don’t have a ton of time, and going out and meeting new people is difficult. As it is for everyone. That’s about as far as I can tell for why I am begrudgingly single. Maybe I’m really ugly? I don’t think so, probably very average but then again no one on the internet ever seems to respond when I ask about looks in r/amiugly, etc.

I’m not sure what I can do. I don’t wallow in my singleness, I’m not moody or mopey or unfun to be around, I don’t make it a part of my personality. But I do wish I could find someone. But if I, or almost any man asks about it, we are simply met with “You MUST have some deficit somewhere, work on yourself!” which just doesn’t help much 🤷🏻‍♂️

Someone who doesn't add anything of value to your life. Basically it is a waste of time dating him. He could be broke, out of shape, abusive, lazy, have a drug/alcohol problem, serial cheater, porn addict, has no empathy, no desire to please you in bed, no emotional intelligence, etc. Low value men are a net loss in relationships. They are not necessarily evil or insufferable people (some are quite nice) but they just make crappy partners as far as women are concerned, and thus should be avoided.

They dont always have to around average they can be spectacular in a lot of areas but still like confidence/self esteem, a death blow for the modern male in heterosexual dating.

Also a inability to submit to the gender roles and male burden of performance required in the dating market. The man may be unable to carry a conversation. Make the woman he is courting feel special/ entertained, (the reverse is seldom needed).

A man who lives a mundane or not particularly spectacular life compared to his peers.

Many of these men can eventually find someone to settle for them, but that seems to be the extent of their romantic/sexual agency.

This is not a reflection of their value as human being. Most men are low value in dating by virtue of being unexceptional and male.

That does not in anyway preclude them from being awesome human beings with rich inner worlds.

I'd say at the most basic level it's a guy no woman wants to sleep with. Because as long as you can get a woman to be sexually attracted to you there's a good chance she'd be in a relationship with you. And I'd say if a woman wants to be with you you're not low value. Then all the other things you have determine if you're actually high value. You may not be considered high value, but not low value either. A lot of this high value vs low value talk originated from men who couldn't get women naturally, so they needed to make money and have a "good career" just to get women. It's like Revenge of the Nerds.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but to me people with mental illness or other severe mental disabilities are low value. Not as human beings, but as dating prospects. Same goes for men who want or have children. I don't want children, nor do I want to raise someone else's children, so to me these are not only low value but of no value to me as a dating prospect. Same goes for men who are very ambitious (and not just those who are very lazy). This may be unpopular also, but I don't want to be with someone who works everyday all the time and who doesn't have time to spend time with me. To me these men are low value. Men who are unintelligent and ignorant about a lot of topics (like politics, social issues etc), are also low value to me, as they're not able to hold an interesting conversation. Also, someone who doesn't share the same non religious beliefs as me are also low value.

I think all in all there's some things that generally is low value, but people also have individual values besides general values.

To me “low value” is dishonest, irresponsible, mean, thug, stealing/criminal, drug use etc but there are tons of people who are like that and very successful sexually.

Honestly in our shallow/materialistic society “low value” is likely poor and ugly.

A low value man to me is one who has no principles, is cowardly (even when he knows something is wrong, he won’t stand up to say so), is self-indulgent to excess and who contributes nothing positive to those around him. Money is not a factor for me - though certainly it can come with some of the traits that make a man high or low value.

Looks can certainly add or detract to a man’s “value” - but don’t make or break it necessarily. A short, fat man can still be “high value” - but admittedly, it takes more of the other traits being outstanding than if he was of average or greater height and physique….

There are universal details but here's vague and abstract for you: They don't give the woman enough of what she desires. Typically sexually, support her mental model of conformity, social status. Validation for any psych or personality defects.

Do an admirable job fulfilling those and you can get away with murder and abuse.

But basically you're not seductive, you don't make her feel like a sexual animal, doesn't make her feel comfortable enough before you hook her in, you're ugly, embarrassing, not useful.

I've never given men any kind of ranking, but there are certain things I find very off putting: somebody who talks continuously and doesn't listen, nor remembers any previous conversations with me. Bad personal hygiene. Dating multiple women and talking about them to me. Certain political ideas, racism, homophobia. Mansplaining. Being mean with money (I don't expect anyone to pay for me however, but showing clearly one is very mean is very off-putting). Being mysterious about his life, previous or present. Making sexual comments or demeaning comments about me or other women (outside of sex). Drinking too much or using drugs. Making a lot of noise while eating. Chewing gum.

Those are some of the things which would make me refuse a second date. None of then have to do with money or looks.
