I’m sure we’ve all heard of women hopelessly being obsessed with the guy that isn’t giving them anything. That’s their version of chasing, they’ll reach out, send memes, double text, ‘what are you doing?’ you, keep ‘hitting the ball over the net’ so to speak even when they’re getting little to nothing back.

Some women will be very forward and clear, but most are just more indirect.

Some do if a particular guy is truly worth it or if the guy really made them feel something intense, but most don't because since most of society has accepted that men are more likely in general to approach, women are happy to sit back and let men do the job of approaching them more often than not.

And that means that women don't have an incentive to chase a particular man as much because the abundance of options willing to be providers makes it unnecessary to chase a guy who they can easily replace with much less effort by meeting more.

Women are much more nuanced; they may not be as predatory as men but they do actively pursue men. Think of it this way: there are lifeforms like spiders and snakes that hunt in an obvious way. Then, there are carnivorous species of flowers that “hunt” by using enticing scents, vibrant colors, sugary nectar, and which emit U.V patterns that mimic food.

Women are the latter.

In general they simply don't have to.

Across the entire animal kingdom, one sex is generally the pursuer and one is the pursued.

This is due to deep evolutionary causes related to anisogamy and long-term species survival.

The two driving forces of evolution are Natural Selection (which you've probably heard of) and Sexual Selection.

In evolution Sexual Selection contributes over time to strengthen the survival value of the species.

Females are driven by deep, uncontrollable drives to select mates that demonstrate characteristics that can contribute to the survival value of potential offspring.

In humans (and probably other animals) this translates not only to physical traits, but psychological character traits.

For Sexual Selection to work, one sex has to be the 'selector sex': putting up barriers to the means of reproduction. The barriers come down when potential mates prove that they have genes worth passing on.

These drives are deep, rooted in millions of years of our past and are unconscious.

Biologically speaking - child birth is very risky. So women have some surpressed appetite towards sex and mating compared to men. That's why women will less often chase.

You have to remember that biologically / evolutionarily speaking - it's about survival and replication. Replication is cool and all - but women only get a few chances of that so they have to value quality over quantity. And since each birth is risky it factors into the "survival" motivation.

When men fuck multiple women they mostly just risk STDs. Not dying in child birth. So men can sleep with a lot more women in a safer way, and can have a biologically higher sex-drive and mating-imperative. Men can also have more offspring. So biologically / evolutionarily - it makes sense that most men benefit from having a higher sex drive / mating-drive on average, whereas if women have such a high drive - it's more risky for them (and therefore very high-sex drive women probably got partially weeded out through evolution). This is one theory to explain the gender-gap in sex-drive / mating-drive. Men benefit from chasing more than women.

The way I see it:

They chase but there’s levels to it. Not every girl will go to levels 8-10.

Level 0 = they won’t chase you at all because they aren’t at all interested in you. The game here is to make them interested by showing them some attractive qualities they didn’t know you had at first glance. Level 1-3 they will do things to signal interest, but will only do things that keep plausible deniability (laughing at your jokes, giving you proximity, staring at you from across a room, play with their hair etc) this is the kind of interest most slightly better than average to somewhat good looking guys, get. Level 4-7 this is where they will make their interest obvious by saying things about how hot they think you are and making it plain that they want you. To me this is the rarest kind, it usually happens to extremely good looking guys or guys that already have a lot of women vying for their attention. Level 8-9 this is where they lose their shit and beg you to be with them… this is alpha badboy territory. Few men have access to this. Level 10 rockstar treatment. This is where they will cry upon sight of you and you just being around them will make them go catatonic… think rockstar/famous boy band members at the height of their fame.

The most I’ve gotten is level 4-7. I’ve never had a girl lose her shit to be with me the way they chase the bad boys with drug habits sleeping on their parents couches that don’t give a crap about them. Having said that I’ve had a quite a few tell me they think I’m very good looking/gorgeous/fine/all kinds of other compliments. Doesn’t matter though. That’s just the girls that like me. The vast majority I’m just level 0 with.

They'll linger or ask you for things they could've asked someone else for, start converstations with you, Offer things they don't have to. You know, make an effort. Women giving deference, showing preference or interest in a social group is a big one, double points if there is other aggressive/Valuable men or potential mates in an authoritative or equal position or some sort of social risk.
