I think this comes from 2 reasons.

So women rationalize their attraction by telling themselves that they are attracted to someone by their personality and emotions. They don’t want to come across as shallow, so their attraction and desire to be with certain men has to be justified. Men are fully willing to acknowledge their shallowness. This leads to women giving the advice that makes them look the least shallow. Work on confidence, get a hobby, learn to cook etc. this isn’t to say any of this is bad general advice but it has little to no bearing on dating success. Men will give actual advice on how to be more attractive to men which will help a woman out 10 fold.

The second is that women don’t really understand how guys struggle with dating.

I’ve heard this metaphor used for oppression, and don’t get me wrong it’s not oppression for a woman to not want to date a man, but it think the bones of this metaphor work here. When you’re at the front of the class, you simply cannot see what’s going on in the back of the class, so you believe everyone experiences what you do. When you’re in the back, you can see what those in the front experience.

When women struggle with dating they struggle with feeling overwhelmed, not getting an HVM to commit, and rejecting the advances of men they see as beneath them.

When guys struggle, they actually struggle. Many cannot even get a single girl interested. A success for men takes a lot more and it does for women, so we pick up and learn more on how to date. And it doesn’t help that we know how men think and are self aware to acknowledge the bad parts of how we think.

If you’re a guy it’s simply not worth your time to seek advice from a woman. You don’t go to a fish to learn how to catch one, as the fish doesn’t want to be caught. You’d go to the fisherman.

However, if the fish wanted to learn how to be caught, it wouldn’t hurt to go to the fisherman.
