I've talked to tons of other men and women about this. The only one I've come up with is the right to be topless in public.

Is there actually rights that men have over women?

Every time I've spoken to a feminist who said "We're fighting for equal rights", I ask the same question: "Which rights, specifically? Which legal rights do men have, but women lack?"

I've asked that of over 100 feminists so far, but I can never get any answer other than "You're a misogynist for asking that question".

Now I'm less and less surprised by that answer. The average feminist is almost entirely ignorant of the facts around their chosen ideology, but that doesn't matter to any of them. The hate cult of feminism is based entirely upon feelings, facts simply don't matter to feminists at all.

In fact the only legal right men have but women do not, in some locations, is the right to go topless in public.

So when feminists say, "We're fighting for equal rights", they are actually fighting for the right to flash their boobs in public.

Meanwhile, there are three important legal rights that women have but men lack. Namely:

1) Women have the right to participate fully in society without the obligation of having to sign up for the draft.

2) Women have the right to be protected from genital mutilation as infants and child. In other words, women have the legal right to reach adulthood with their genitals intact and unharmed.

3) Women have the right to consent to parenthood, implemented via access to morning after pills, abortion pills, surgical abortion and safe haven infant abandonment. No one can force a woman into parenthood without her consent, other than in some US states. However, men have zero reproductive rights in all parts of every western country.

This is just one example of many I could cite to demonstrate that everything feminists say is nonsense.

Canada is a Constitutional Monarchy, in that the head of Canada is not the Prime Minister, but the King of England. Up to 2013, the law was that the line of succession went to the male heir (changed in the Succession to the Crown Act 2013), however I don't think this law was made retroactive.

Ergo, any Canadian women born before 2013, that have a claim to the British / Canadian throne, has been bumped by male citizens that may have been born later in sequence to them.

In actuality for this to come into place would require hundreds of assassinations of the royal family line.

The going topless as others have mentioned seems one. Things like “not being fearful going out at night”. I mean men are more likely to get attacked and beaten up. Men might not vocalise that fear or try to ignore it but then men are taught to hide and not show fear whereas women vocalise it for sympathy/ power.

I understand their argument to be about social norms not about laws. For example that societal norms result in women earning less, women not being elected to office as much, women not becoming CEO's of large corporations, etc etc.

In their mind, none of those things are the fault of women... Yet all of the societal advantages that women have over men (like the draft, circumcision, custody, life expectancy, etc.) are magically the fault of men.

TL;DR legally, men have no advantages over women. Societally: depends on how you look at it.

It is the other way around: women have more reproductive rights (can opt out from parenthood even after birth), men can not.

A boy who was raped by an adult women would still be responsible for paying for child support.

And yeah, I know, there were "marches for equal rights" for decades, but something being outright stupid have never stopped certain activist groups. One just needs to be biased enough to overcome common sense.

"Men can jog at 2am!" Not really. Men are still scared and cautious, they don't just run blindly. They're also more likely to be attacked than women are.
"Men get praised for sleeping around." Not really. Men still get called dogs and a "man whore." Also why does it matter? You're privileged as hell if your issue is sleeping around.

In the west there aren’t any ‘rights’ that women don’t have compared to men. There are a few common ‘rights’ that are brought up to try and justify their position.

Abortion. Particularly relevant in the US now. They will often say ‘women had their reproductive rights taken away’ or some such statement. Of course, this presupposes that abortion is moral. There are plenty of women who are pro life and would disagree with that, so it isn’t very accurate to say it is a ‘right’.
Pay gaps. A frequent argument, however it isn’t a rights issue. Men and women are legally entitled to the same pay. That doesn’t mean that every company will comply with that, but most will. It’s a bit like saying ‘I don’t have the right to leave my house unguarded, because robberies still occur’. No, robbery is illegal.
Sexual assault etc. A very concerning issue and a big problem, but not a rights issue. Crimes occur, rape, murder, violent attacks against men. Yet these are all illegal and severely punishable.

Men are in power. This is often because they founded successful companies (not nail salons), took STEM degrees and not Women's studies, and work long hours.

There are over 30 laws directly discriminating against men in Germany (NOT even counting stuff like maternity protection which is pregnancy related), I couldn't find any law against women (not even against topless, exhibition is only illegal for men in §183 StGB).

In many Middle Eastern countries women aren’t allowed to vote, drive or even go outside without a man. In america there isn’t a single law that tells men what they can and cannot do with their bodies, but there is the abortion law for women.

There are no rights that men have over women, just the opposite, women have more reproductive rights than men. As far as "privilege" goes men do not have the "disadvantage" of not being the sex that bears children. That really is a burden that takes a big toll on women. However, women will never concede that men have the out-sized burden of taking care of women and children. The balance of responsibility of bearing children and the responsibility of protecting and providing for women and children used to be pretty balanced out. Because of feminism, modern women no longer respect the responsibilities that men take on.

I wouldn't say men have "rights" that women don't (besides being topless in public as previously mentioned), but I'd concede there are certain societal norms that suck for women, eg. the rising demonization/ridicule of stay-at-home moms, viewing women as pickmes for talking about men's rights issues and while the whole "women get raped/attacked in public more than men" thing is bullshit, women do get their more than fair share of verbal sexual harassment in public that I don't think men do (keep in my I'm from Central-Europe not the US so obviously my entire comment may or may not apply to America.)

Alas, a good chunk of people here will probably not admit these or other disadvantages of being a woman because they feel it'll lose them victim points which they feed off.

Not a right but men are obviously physically stronger. Yes there are outliers but in general, males are physically stronger. When you remove the legal system from the picture, women don’t stand much of a chance and would need to rely on other men from protection.

now it's not really a right but in my school anyways the school favours guys over girls by a mile but either way no one really gets punished for anything.

like most people on the sub i had my ex accuse me of rape at a very VERY young age and most students believed her except for my best friend (which surprised me since she'd been raped multipul times before) but the teachers and the principle didn't believe her for a second. this went on for months and even though they'd found everything there was to be found out (including what i did. it wasn't near as bad as the things she did in spite of me speaking up but i still did stuff) neither of us actually got in trouble even after saying that if either of us were to do anything to the other that person would be expelled. she did stuff again and again but nothing ever happened to her and her crappy child parents took her to a school full of actual rapists and junkies since "that school didn't protect my baby". the weird thing is that even though girls at my school get harassed all the time the only time one of them got in trouble was when they found drugs in his locker. (16g of weed as well and he was 14)

when something happens they believe the guy when something doesnt happen they mostly blame the girl and when we under perform in sport they blame the girls which is actually true they did NOTHING but the guys actually made things worse.

now the same friend i talked about before said that usually they favour girls over guys and both of us found it weird that they always chose and believed guys over the girls. it's an issue with the sub that makes me realise why people talk bad about us (besides the sub name) it's because like feminists we only focus on the bad of everything without always being very honest with ourselves.

and yes in some countries men do have more rights over women but those are beyond extreme cases

The issue isn’t so much about “rights” but about other privilege.

Men, often, don’t give where they park, who they date, what they wear, where they walk a second thought.

Women park under lights, they tell their friends who they’re seeing and where they’re going, they consider if they can run in their shoes, and pay very close attention to whose around them when they’re walking.

My husband doesn’t think twice about going for a walk at night but is worried when I walk at night.

That freedom from fear is a huge privilege.

Women have to be concerned about how they reject someone because we see news stories every day of women who were verbally abused, physically assaulted, or murdered because they rejected someone

Women don’t know what it’s like to walk around at night freely without worry or concern. We’re taught from a young age to be on guard. To be alert. To pay attention.

Men talk a lot about “protecting women” without realizing that they’re protecting women from other men.

Aside from societal norms / cultural privileges (both sexes have these but some are for men and some for women), the only actual "right" that women lack in a lot of places is access to abortion. There's obviously no direct corollary for men but there's also no necessary medical procedure that men cannot get because for religious and/or reactionary political oppression.

In my experience as a female engineer, there have been circumstances where I have seen systematic discrimination in my employer's hiring system. ...the hiring process favours candidates with personality traits that are generally (but not always) more common in men. And based on who gets hired through the process, it's generally men.

But that's not a "right", it's just something specific to this specific HR system that is injust. I can cheat the system and pretend to have that personality trait if i really want the job, but it feels unnatural to me to fake stuff on an interview. There might however be other aspects of the same HR system (that I'm not aware of) that are injust to men, of other demographics.

I think most injustices (either for or against men) are probably systematic and not super obvious.
