I think most people care about their partner’s past to some extent, but probably not in the way some men here think. Most people, including women, just want to avoid dating serial cheaters, abusers, or people who’ve done really extreme things, like casually sleeping with hundreds of partners or being involved in sex work. And a lot of women would also prefer not to date a man who regularly uses sex workers.

I was the opposite. I only dated religious virgins. Any sexual history outside of marriage was absolutely a deal breaker and I wasn’t dating divorced men.

It depends on why he hasnt dated since then. Is it because he just hasnt found the right person? Then thats fine. Is it becuase he never moved on from his ex and compares everyone to his past relationship? Id rather not deal with that.

It depends. But for virgins specifically, I think it’s more people wondering why he’s a virgin or not wanting to have to teach someone from the beginning all of the in and outs of not just intercourse, but also a relationship.

You should honestly be more concerned and creeped out if they’re overly excited about you being a virgin because that lowkey means they want to be the one to mold you into however they want.

Virgins are tricky. There is nothing wrong with virgins until later in life, like 30yo virgin would make me wary, and for a reason. But also I mostly don't want to date them (casually), because more often than not that means I have to teach, and more often than not it also means it's not really possible in a short time span. I can make exceptions, for different reasons, it's not hard no. Just preference.

Just a reminder that I am myself a slut, I am an outlier, and my views on sex are not common. I'm really sex positive.

The higher the bodycount goes less compatible I think we'd be. I simply don't think most men who have high body counts would be really match me and cool with my preferred dynamics for a sexual relationship.

And this isn't hypocritical from how men here talk about high N count women because I don't desire to have lots of casual sex and multiple partners. And my idea of high scales with age.

I wouldn't care if he was a virgin for the being the virgin part. I'd care if he had resentment towards women or me, and I'd care if he had a warped view of sex and exceptions around it.

Of course, the less the better. And I want to know details. If he had intentional casual sex even once it's over. If he believed it was the one but made mistake it's fine. But still must be reasonable number, I don't belive you can make such mistake every few months, not even every year. So intention matters. If someone had casual sex we possible cannot be on the same page. Of course it would be best to meet as soon as possible both as virgins.

When I was 26, I wasn't a virgin. So dating a virgin wouldn't make sense. We'd have two very different life experiences.

When I was 19-21, I dated a few virgins. Our life experiences weren't that different. We were all college students and figuring out sex.

I have my partners than my husband. But that doesn't matter. What matters is our similar life experiences, our values, and our shared desire for a future together.
