In the context of this OP, 'hippy' is defined as someone who is 'sceptical of capitalism and consumerism and feels that humans are too divorced from nature'. To reflect this, hippies emphasise the importance of nature, community and any time and resources are spent on experiences, wellbeing and creative pursuits.

I don't care what you think about this political and philosophical stance as it's not really relevant, but I want you to focus on their lifestyle. They would rather meet up with their friends and spin fire in the park than sit at home and play video games. They would rather spend £300 on a trip to Portugal than buy a new phone. They would rather buy a new instrument than a fancy pair of trainers. If they're skint (which is usually the case) they will try and find a free event on, or they will meet up with their friends and jam/go for a hyke/skate). You get the picture...

Celibacy is virtually non-existence in these types of circles. Their lifestyle means that they are always meeting people, and as a result - always meeting new women. To add to this, most their friends are 50/50 male and female, meaning that talking to women is something they find incredibly easy. Even when they have spats of anxiety/depression and need to shut themselves in for a few months, once they come out of it they only have to attend a few events to get back into the swing of things.

Here's a real life man I know, Greg:

I actually fucking hate Greg, but he (used to be) in my circle so I've just got to know him. Greg is a small, skinny 20 something with early receding hairline and a shit pony tail. He has a nervous, pathetic disposition and because of this, people tolerate shitty behaviour from him (which he knows and plays up to, hence why I hate him). Greg is hardly a lady killer, but he plays with a few bands, he comes to poetry nights twice a week and if there's an event on, chances are he will be there. Greg eventually met a women at an event. She is kinda chubby (maybe a UK size 14) has a very pretty face, amazing hair, is doing a masters degree and has an incredibly sweet, polite and kind natured personality (always asks how you are and takes an interest in you). They started to date and eventually she broke up with him, probably because he's annoying and creepy (the type to sniff you're hair when you're asleep). Greg was heartbroken and went on a misogynistic tirade about her to everyone. A year went by where I didn't see Greg, and suddenly on Facebook I see that his closest, childhood friend broke up with his mrs (they were together 7years IIR). A few months later and Greg is in a relationship with her (!) a few months after that, I see that Greg and her are married (!!!)

Case 2, Billy:

Billy is an calm, masculine male with a big beard and bigger belly. Obviously I've never asked how much he weighs, but I would guess about 13 stone. Billy lives in a shitty boat that he cant skip and it keeps getting flooded. He does painting and decorating but works as little as humanely possible and chooses to live on the breadline. Billy is content in his own company, but if there's an event then he's usually there. He plays drums, Djs and loves having bonfires with his mates. I have never seen billy go through a 'dry patch' of longer than three months. All the women I've met are all women I've really liked (I used to live with billy). They range in looks and one women he dated was actually incredibly hot, well read and extremely talented (one of the best fire spinners I know)

Anyway, the moral of the story isn't that you should move in on your best friends women or live in a shit boat, it's that if Greg and Billy can get laid, so can a significant portion of those 29% of celibate males. My issue with a lot of reddit, is that they scroll through tindr 1/2hr a night, see little or no results, get disheartened and give up.

Contrary to the black/ grey pill - women don't go on looks alone, therefore relying on OLD is a futile strategy. Attraction in women usually sparks during interaction, sometimes an hour within that interaction, and sometimes after socialising with them on several different occasions. As much as I hate boomers, their whole 'get of your phone and go outside' is a relevant, and good point' Women are not as choosy as you make out they are, they would just rather meet you in the real world than on the internet, where they get a tirade of dick pics and insults. This rise in porn consumption and gaming is breeding inertia and apathy, and its the main cause of the male celibacy problem.

EDIT: as predicted, no one read the first sentence where I outlined the definition of 'hippy' which was the outline for the discussion I wished to start.
