Same to the twin flames, empaths and male pagan community. Sorry not sorry, they're predatory af too. They purposely set timers on their phones to text you at synchronicity times like 12:12 to trick you into thinking it was by accident.

I had one guy do that where he'd schedule his texts and go "oh hehe, 4:44 wauw!" and "look at the time 🥺". Every male empath I've met has gone for a young woman half his age then has the scrotacity to call HER "the narc" when, in reality, he was preying on a young woman who was minding her business; she'd either disregarded his advances entirely, or she'd be nice enough to give him a chance then realise how disgusting he is and oop out.

Omg, yes. So much. I had a male colleague who left the profession (thank goddess, he was terrible st his job) to become a 'yogi'.

He ended up contacting me as we were both traveling across India at the same time. I was there to see wildlife (my passion) and he was there for "spiritual" reasons.

He texted me to complain that Indians don't know how to do yoga correctly. Also, he apparently felt that they didn't understand Hinduism. A white guy from Long Island knows more about being a Hindu than an Indian. The scrotacity

He also tried to neg me for my choice of transportation. I was doing a solo trip by motorcycle across Madhya Pradesh. He was in Goa. He said that I was riding a motorcycle because I feared people and lived in fear of their spiritual influence.

I've been to India several times. I know better than to be a single woman stuck on public transportation. And riding a motorcycle is fun as hell and gets me to amazing places to see wild animals.

Anyway, this guy ended up being pushed out of yoga/spiritual communities around the world (I don't know why but I have my suspicions as he was always preying on women) until he became a devout follower of...Jordan Peterson and Qanon and dropped off of social media.

I find this hilarious. I’ve never been into these men since they seem to lack basic grooming and hygiene (long ass beards, don’t shower, or presumably wash their ass). But now that I reflect on the ones I know, they definitely use the hippie guise to deflect from taking responsibility in their life.

Unemployment and smoking weed all day as the path to “spirituality” and “finding the true meaning of life” is really just a cover up for a lack of ambition.

Also look out for dudes into "tantric" sex. In my experience these are mostly pornsick guys looking to cover for their abysmal performance by delaying YOUR gratification and calling it spiritual. It also gives them a position to critique your personal needs and desires and claim that your body "should" work a certain way if only you'd do XYZ.

If you’ve never seen the bikram yoga documentary, it’s a great example of this. I think it’s on Netflix.

I am immediately suspicious of any male in a leadership position in any type of communal/pagan/spiritual community. Outside of bikram, you have Jim Jones, David Koresh, Charles Manson, the Rajneeshies guy….all were charismatic males that ensnared vulnerable people. I remember being in high school and the Waco siege made a huge impression on me.

I would run screaming from any man with hippie/culty vibes, even in my pickme days.

“Spiritual” always means “let’s have a lot of non-commital sex”. And if they’re “empathic” it either means they’re super in tune to women’s emotions in a predatory way or they’re narcissistic and just think whatever they think you’re thinking/feeling must be what you’re actually thinking/feeling, to the point where they’ll argue with you when you actually try to express thoughts and feelings.

I dated one. Thought we were going to end up married one day. I was prettier, more educated, made more money, but wE LiKe aLL tHe sAmE tHiNgS! We were seriously inseparable, I thought we were best friends. He was all about light and love, he was a yoga teacher, had sacred geometry tattoos all over himself. I thought he was so different from all the abusers I’d dated.

Things got more serious and we started looking at places to move in together, and we found one. The weekend before we were supposed to sign the lease, he went out with his buddies and he fucked a prostitute without a condom. He didn’t tell me, because he didn’t want to “mess with our vibes”. He confessed it to me, once one of his buddies confessed to his own wife.

I asked to see his phone, and I saw his texts planning everything, and saying he really wanted to “fuck a hooker just once to see what it’s like”. It’s been 6 years since the breakup and I heard he got sober because he blamed alcohol for his “slip”. I also heard he’s been dating a girl for a few years, but still keeps that same friend group. Yuck. Never again, now the whole light and love thing gives me nausea.

I'm glad you posted this, I was thinking about this today as I live in an area with a lot of hippies. Where I live there always seems to be about 10 single women per single man. I often meet decent looking, educated, accomplished single women who are single, and have met a lot of very strange, unappealing hippyish men who move from woman to the next and are never single. It's very unsettling, I probably need to move lol. If there were an abundance of attractive HVMs here these guys would not have all these women, it's just a completely wrong dynamic. I really don't like any of these hippy men I've met so far, I agree there is usually something off about them, like a weird coldness, strange views hidden underneath an odd, socially awkward, rude exterior. I've noticed this in a lot of the independent hippyish shops here too. They're often really nice and interesting creative looking shops with nice decor and products but whenever I go in to any of these shops they are some of the rudest people despite working in a customer facing role.

TREE WIZARDS- So true they are drawn to that subculture to be around what they perceive to be 'open minded' 'sexually liberated' women, and are nothing but creepers trying to cop a feel and wait for opportunities to mooch off people with poor boundary function, preying on and exploiting the ethos of sharing/ caring /giving /selflessness. Ive been there done that, and it might seam so righteous and wholesome but the whole hippy scene is rife with pickme bang maids doing all the emotional labour and over caring for huge groups of hopeless tree wizzards. ALSO same thing happening in the Gothy/Emo/Alternative scene- that is really just an urban spin- off of hippies.

I remember going on two first (and last) dates with guys like this. The first kept trying to pressure me into having sex with him because of some placement in birth charts. He was a "tortured soul" aka a complete creep and hobosexual who thought I would take care of him. The other was an "ex" drug addict PUA who bragged about his drug use and negged me throughout the date but claimed to be a feminist and thought I should worship him because we didn't split the bill. Both claimed to be "empaths" and "understanding" as they tried to push my boundaries and gaslight me into thinking that I was being "too guarded"

It's the same with the "free love" movement in the 1960s, which was a cover for getting free sex from women and even things like incest and pedophilia. Tell me about it. I was a part of an online community and there was a gay guy there whom even owned a crystal shop and was like super hippie and all that jazz. He was such a fucking mess. He would make rude jokes about others but if anyone said anything about him he would freak the hell out. He was constantly trying to break up straight relationships by trying to seduce the straight men. Some of them even had kids.... he was the definition of a hot mess and also constantly creating a shit ton of drama. It is insanity. Because he pretended to be this super spiritual and kind person. He also spread rumors about others etc. So I do not trust fake hippie people at all

Lol I had a man approach me on the sidewalk to hit on me and then he assumed, “You must have done some meditation and yoga because you seemed so happy and smiling as you walked.” I didn’t offer any information to him about that in response because I knew exactly what he was up to and cut the convo short. He kept trying to fish for information about me and it was gross, he even tried to interrogate me right after about other stuff.

Um no I appear happy because I haven’t dated an LVM in six months and it’s done wonders for my skin and mood.🤣

But in all seriousness, these men love to look for spiritual women because they assume spiritual women are more likely to “forgive and forget” and put up with their BS. This is of course untrue - I do meditate and am an avid yogi but if anything me seeing a deeper meaning nowadays has helped me not waste time on LVM.
