The mental gymnastics going on in this thread are incredible, and I'm glad this exploded and that people are butthurt enough to try and rationalize this ridiculous and unnecessary difference in top Google definitions. Hopefully reading through the comments will help some of you see how normalized anti-male behavior has become. The comments trying to rationalize this by saying "different words have different definitions" are completely ignoring the obvious double standard displayed here.

No, this is not the most important issue going on right now involving men's rights, but that doesn't mean we can't simply take this example in, digest it, and move on having a little more knowledge involving examples of double standards that are subtly harming and degrading men's role in society.

Also, look at Google's doodles for International Women's Day 8 total since 2005 as opposed to International Men's Day not even one

And also the defenition in Google of facism is "an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization." Although not directly a mens issue, it still helps show Google's leanings.

I was actually intrigued by this and decided to do some digging. From what I can tell, Google (Or, rather, the source they're pulling from) is wrong about the definition and should reword it to make more sense. See, "hubby" does in fact simply mean "husband". There isn't really any other definition for it that I can find. Just a shortening. However, "wifey" has a couple of different meanings. The most prevalent from what I have found (and why I would wager that many women find it offensive in general) is that it's a slang term used to describe a woman you keep around because they are "better" than your "other girls"/"side chicks"/etc, but you won't marry them because you don't do that/you're a player/you are afraid of commitment/whatever. In my opinion, the Google definition should say something like "1. a derogatory slang term used to describe a woman that is providing the benefits of marriage to a partner without the commitment of legal marriage. 2. a wife". At least give a bit of context as to why it's considered "condescending". Colloquialisms are important here.
