I don’t mean platonic love where you’re best friends (could easily be the couples living as roommates) , I mean romantic love.

Do guys actually want romantic love? Because from what I have understood so far it looks like men want Respect more than they want Love. And also, correct me if I’m wrong, but most men these days seem obsessed with fucking. Not making love Barry Manillow style but just pure primal fucking …mechanical/detached/objective …?

I have noticed that both sexes objectify each other but objectification seems to lack the cultural element of romance: dating, spending time together, pair bonding essentially. my question is, do men truly want to pair bond? or is bonding to the mate only a female thing?

men complain a lot around here that ‘sluts can’t pair bond’ or are somehow broken but it is widely known that men also sow their wild oats and are hyper-sexual by nature in terms of fantasizing and intrusive thoughts etc. So are men not also broken if prior activity is what breaks you?

Is perhaps no one broken but trust only damaged? And do the men who look for women to pair bond to them, Are They Themselves Actually Pair Bonded To Her As Well? Or aren objectifying women and the whole ‘love her softly’ thing is just some motions they go through to hook women?

Essentially, Do men actually like that stuff that makes women pair bond to them for themselves. Would they like a woman using those same methods?

Please consider perversions/art/creativity/kink irrelevant in this general over-arching theme. I simply mean that it seems men rather be rough/objectify and women gentle/subjective because I struggle to understand the role of romance for a man in their bond, not just as a means of him wanting to be a better person or something ‘other’
