Something that I've heard quite a lot. I've heard it from men. "I wouldn't feel masculine if I let her pay". "I wouldn't feel masculine if I wasn't providing for her." "I wouldn't feel masculine being weak/vulnerable/emotional" etc. From the older generation I've heard things like "I wouldn't feel masculine if I was the one doing the cooking".

This is relatively rare in real life among women I've met, but I've seen a lot of women online saying things like "I want a taller BF so I can feel small and feminine". My GF shaves/waxes her legs because it "makes her feel feminine".

Personally, most of the things I like are typically masculine ones, but none of them make me feel "manly". When I hit a personal best at the gym, I didn't feel any kind of "divine masculine energy" flowing through me. I felt good about achieving a goal, but I can't imagine that feeling would be any different were I a female. When undertaking heavy duty construction work in past jobs, I never felt like a man for doing it, just doing what I needed to do to earn a living. When I shave my beard, I don't feel like less of a man now my manhair has gone. I just feel like I look best this way. I have been both the big and little spoon with women and never felt more or less masculine.

I'll admit, most typically feminine things do not interest me. But crucially, not because they are feminine. If I was really interested in painting my nails or making my lips a fun colour, I would do so regardless of whether society considered it feminine or not, and not feel like less of a man for doing so. As it stands the activity doesn't interest me enough to break the social convention. There are also plenty of masculine things which do not interest me. I'm about as uninterested in cars and watching sports as I am in wearing makeup.

Fundamentally I am in a male body which I am aligned with. Therefore I am a man. I need nothing else to "feel masculine".
