Women and icks a confirmation of alpha beta

I was recently reading a post in my college forum of a girl saying that she suddenly felt repulsed and felt “icks” about her boyfriend but could not understand why. And in the reply section there were several other girls who related, even some who broke up due to feeling that unexplainable “ick”. Basically, their man was not doing anything observably “wrong”, but they still felt extremely repulsed by him, which is the second-worst thing that could happen in a relationship, just behind feeling resentment.

This once-again confirms alpha/beta dichotomy. I’ve seen countless posts on social media about “icks” and women suddenly being repulsed or even hating by their partner in relationships, typically by younger women who are clearly not ready to settle down with a beta yet in a committed relationship. They want something exciting, more “alpha” in their dating strategy. Until they reach the maturity of being ready for commitment.

Ever experienced either side of this, and does it seem like it would be more likely to happen to women than men, or about equal?
