Some people say women's bodies changing via childbearing is no big deal because men have "wife goggles." Some people say women, for the most part, basically "hit the wall" once they bear children if they haven't already due to aging. I've seen many Reddit posts authored by men who lament that they are no longer attracted to their pregnant and/or postpartum wives. I've also heard men say they don't care about the changes because they love their partners.

Before anyone responds, I want to make something clear. In case anyone was under the impression that pregnancy is the only time a mother's body looks significantly altered, that's not true. Pregnancy brings on many physical changes that last a lifetime, assuming a woman doesn't get any plastic surgery (e.g. a mommy makeover or tummy tuck). These changes (I'm focusing on the cosmetic) include stretch marks, drooping breasts, cellulite, loose and crepey abdominal skin, widened hips, a widened ribcage, bigger feet, previously 2D moles becoming 3D, and a tendency to carry more weight around the midsection than before.

People often point to celebrities who have supposedly "bounced back" like nothing ever happened after having kids. The error here is that these celebrities have access to all the cosmetic surgery they could desire, and their photos are almost always photoshopped. For example, there are some unflattering candid photos of celebrities (like Kim Kardashian) showing that they actually have cellulite, too.
