Contrary to common advice given by women here; women are actually incredibly hesitant about wingmanning; essentially, they're too neurotic and scared of their friends breaking up at some point and dealing with the fallout, so they actively prevent their single friends from dating. Rather than wingmanning you, they'll actually specifically forbid guys from interacting with their friends in a romantic context. I'd understand if someone had a rep as a horndog or something, but it's just totally normal men across the board. I was once explicitly told "Hey you're gonna be meeting my roommate Becca tonight AND YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO HIT ON HER" even though I'm just a completely normal and polite guy, not some fuccboi or whatever.

Their thinking seems to be along the lines of: "If I introduce Billy to Jane, and they hit it off, but then they break up, the awkwardness will be too much for me to deal with, so I'll do what I can to avoid them meeting in a romantic context."

I’ve introduced my girl friends to many of my dude friends that they ended sleeping with even days later, all the while I knew that girl as a friend for years. Has she ever in those 6 years introduced me to a girl that I got to sleep with? NOPE .
