“Don’t wear that” “go brush your teeth” “you’re not buying that” “you’re not eating that” Demanding to know where a man has been, who he has been with, and where he is going is par for the course in most heterosexual relationships. Women want to have communication of their man’s every action and input or control over it. She will decide what he eats, wears, who he spends holiday with, what he drives, what color his bedroom is painted, what furniture he has in his apartment (even if they don’t live together), who he is allowed to be friends with. If a man goes out with friends without getting the ok first he will often be verbally chastised or publicly shamed. If a man buys the wrong brand at the grocery store he is considered incompetent and useless. His own preferences be damned.

This list could go on forever

I’m not saying every relationship is like this, and it is up to each man to be a man and decide what he will put up with and what he won’t. But… this type of behavior from women is not only acceptable, it is often expected or even encouraged, by tv and movies, women on social media, and just western society at large. What I’m saying is that No one bats an eye at a women micromanaging almost every aspect of a man’s life, down to how much time he spends on the freaking bathroom.

However, Any man doing any one of these things to a women would be considered controlling, and many or all of them?! Abusive, manipulative, toxic. “Leave that man, you deserve better, you are independent, no one can tell you what to do/how to live”. The societal hypocrisy is so strong it’s sickening. Sure, there are men that act like this, but they are universally condemned and considered trash men.
