Child support laws are not meant for the child.

I can't believe so many liberal repeat the same absurdities. I asked around. Can they make agreement that the child support money goes to a trust fund to be given to the child. The answer is no. It's always to the mother that she is free to squander for anything she want.

If it's for the child, why should it be proportional to the man's income? Why the money goes to the mother and not the child?

The child will of course be better off if the rich father pay the child straight after 18.

What happened is rich guys are forced to pay $30k a month, $200k a month. For what? The child probably doesn't even see the money.

Whoever makes the child support laws must have wanted to make having children expensive for richer guys.

Anyway, we don't have problems like this in south east asia.

I totally understand you. I came to South Korea 10 years ago (with a British girlfriend at that time) and my reason for traveling was not related to dating. I don’t consider myself a passport bro at all. Since living here I’ve dated mostly Koreans, but some Americans etc too.

Although I’m single now, I was with my ex for 5 years and we almost got married. She’s educated, attractive, has a rich mom and even a $1m+ apartment in her name, a decent salary, trilingual, not interested in a Western passport, and yet I was worried I would be considered some predatory sexpat back home just because I had a hot Asian partner. Some annoying American girls accused me of having yellow fever but I mostly just date what’s around me. Back in the UK I dated black and white girls and if I moved back I probably would again just because of the available options. But it annoyed me how people wanted to categorize me as a predator with a fetish.

And now as I’m aging and still living in Asia it’ll probably only get worse.

Idk I've been to different countries being in the military and the women in Japan, the Philippines,Guam, the ones that like foreign men do so because we're not the norm there were different and viewed as exotic... Most women in US work and don’t expect their man to provide for the whole family, so I disagree they want traditional men. In fact the most common complaint from women is that men aren’t doing any childcare and housework and aren’t caring about their sexual satisfaction. If they wanted traditional men they would be complaining about men who did childcare, not ones who don’t, and they would want men who thought sex was a “wifely duty”. I married a woman from a Siberian region of Russia and she married me because 1.) She didn't want to have kids and wanted a husband to be a best friend to do fun stuff with who shares the same interests, whereas most Russian guys are extremely traditional and want many kids and a wife to basically serve them 2.) Knew i wouldn't beat her as domestic abuse is not illegal in Russia and she knows Americans are less likely to commit domestic abuse than Russian men 3.) I was hardworking about pleasing her and being loyal to her in a committed relationship and wanted marriage while dating her in college and made that clear.

I'm hardly rich and she wasn't solely seeking a green card as she was already studying here and had other options if they wanted them being highly educated.

Some of her friends from Russia and China have married American guys for similar reasons, as they find the more liberal views of American guys welcoming compared to some of the bs you get with some of the traditionalism there. They still value serious relationships though, and don't go as far as to worship the easy casual sex culture and not commitment culture many American woman embrace.

As an American guy, i found women from traditional areas of Russia particularly very nice as they all valued serious commitments in relationships at a college age whereas trying to seriously date for the future with American women was a waste of time by comparison for me in college. Too many American women scared off by the idea of serious commitment

Men still have to initiate more often than not and they're generally expected to pay for dates, although there are women who approach and women who split/share/pay in turns for dates.

Outside of religious communities people do not expect a man to ask his partner's parents for permission to marry her or be "the leader", most couples have 2 working partners and in almost half of marriages men are not main/sole breadwinners. Most women are not SAHMs either.

There are still more men in politics, but by this logic most other men who are not in politics or who do not run infrastructure submit to the men who do these things, which isn't exactly how it works although we probably could say that we all submit to the state and laws. We usually just use different words for it.

I have an issue with the ones who lie about the potential issues involved and relentlessly talk it up as a really good and easy option to men who already lack the social intuition to succeed in their own culture and language. I also have an issue with the men who are unhappy with their sex lives and relentlessly talk it up as an option but haven't gone and done it themselves. Like...why not? If it's so easy and viable why aren't you there now doing it?

Basically it's a pretty niche set of...well not solutions so much as exchanges of one set of problems that can potentially be solved for another set of different problems that can potentially be solved. And as such needs to be discussed like we discuss big difficult deviations from the usual script like opening your own business or building your own house or going off-grid not like how we'd discuss getting lunch at McDonalds.

A lot of the guys that grifters and internet know it all's try to sell it to are basically shut ins who haven't even travelled alone to and hung out voluntarily in significantly different places in their own state, province or whatever and haven't got much ability to deal with change. It's really irresponsible to sell it as just "this will make your life easier" without thinking who you're damn well talking to.

Frankly, the best odds of finding a quality woman who makes a good relationship partner in 2023 is either a passport or a time machine. Guess which one of those is more feasible?

What people seem to dance around in these conversations is that modern women have a severe narcissism and sense of delusion while they bring the least attractive qualities to the table compared to women from the past and women that you need a passport to go and meet. They’re not always going for prostitutes though. They’re going for unprotected individuals that they can groom. Well that's not something with a clear dividing line in real life either.

A lot of those guys basically want to go to a place where it is normalised for women to regard their personal level of physical attraction to a man as less important in a relationship than financial concerns. That's the reality of it. And the men are looking for a wide range of different... timeframes...on that transactionality. It isn't as simple as man who wants to fuck at least ten bargirls on this trip vs man who wants a foreign tradwife. There's a lot of basically buying medium term relationships going on. I don't claim anyone is trash or unwanted. I have never dated up socially or financially. One thing that I have done is dated someone with a different nationality to myself, but nobody would call me a "passport sis" as I didn't do it out of some hatred for Irish people or dating in Ireland or because I thought English people would just treat me so much better. I think that if someone feels more wanted in a different country, there's a reason for that. People are not inherently different in different countries, so it's not that. One reason may be that they have misguided and often really quite racist ideas about different people in different countries and how they act and are feeling a placebo, and indeed you do commonly see them just spewing hate towards some national/ethnic groups and fetishizing others. I wouldn't like to encourage that kind of thinking. Another reason is that, looking at the countries they go to, they are likely to find people who are more desperate to pretend to like them for money or citizenship or just generally to have power over them die to their money or citizenship. I also don't think it's good to take advantage of desperate people and call that dating. And I, you know, care about whether people are engaging in practices that are harmful to themselves or others even if I'm not personally dating them.
