The manosphere does not have a schtick. The manosphere is not a philosophy, it's a collection of blogs and such that talk about men's issues.

And I'd guess that the answer for most to 'why don't you talk about it' is 'society talks about it too much already.'

I don’t think deadbeat fathers gain a lot of traction in the “manosphere”or a couple reasons. A, most dudes in the “manosphere” aren’t trying to date single fathers. B, the “manosphere” is disproportionately made up of men with poor sexual/romantic histories and men that had rough divorces, and neither group is especially likely to be a deadbeat father (or the groups self-select away from deadbeats). C, everyone already implicitly acknowledges that deadbeat fatherhood is bad; this contrast heavily with single motherhood, which gets a lot of positive spin in the media.

Women in the US alone have aborted more than 60 million fetuses since Roe v Wade. Most were healthy. Most were conceived as a result of voluntary sex. Most were NOT doomed to poverty (let's get real for one second, most residents of the US have very skewed understanding of what poverty even means). At peak in 1984, CDC reports that there was 1 abortion per 3 live births. None were aborted because a man decided so. None were carried to term because a man decided so.

Women are not in the position to shame men by using tired 14th century cliches.

Your hypothetical situation is statistically unlikely. Most child support disputes are a result of divorce.

Multi-layered straw. I'll concentrate on my favorite part. Either we can agree as a society that children are the future and supporting them is sacred duty, and thus put the responsibility of taking care of children unwanted by fathers on the shoulders of the government, OR we can agree that men who have sex with women are automatically guilty of any consequences. Currently, at least across entire Europe, both systems are in place. I.e., a man needs to first pay taxes to support children that are not his, born by women he never had sex with, and then, from what remains, he (if he happens to be non-custodial parent) also has to pay for children that are biologically his.

Finally and most importantly, women who for some weird reason got pregnant and decided not to abort the baby knowing that it is unwanted by father - still have the privilege of abandoning the kid and giving up for adoption.

Thus, a man decided to have sex. It resulted in pregnancy, either by accident or by stupidity (or both).

A woman then decided to carry the pregnancy to term, decided not to give the kid up for adoption, and decided to file for child support.

A man, essentially, is forced to pay for one mistake of his own and three decisions made without his involvement.

Does comparing "one" and "three" do the trick for you?

The Manosphere spreads the message way more useful than "deadbeat dads are bad" (literally what everyone else, from the media to guys with nukes (government) have been repeating since the dawn of time); the Manosphere provides tons of advices on how not to become a "deadbeat dad". Such as: always interrupt the intercourse before ejaculation; always use a condom; always reliably dispose of a condom after usage, even if she repeated for 10 times this week alone that she's on the Pill; even if you saw her taking the Pill; get a vasectomy; don't get drunk in the presence of a woman; NEVER EVER EVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES let a drunk woman into your house, even if it's your sister. Oh, and preferably, don't donate sperm.

Because unlike "Deadbeat dads are baad! Deadbeat dads are baaaaad! Have I already mentioned how baaaaaaad deadbeat dads are?!", the Manosphere's message actually has a potential to solve the problem.

Yes, in this case thinking ahead would of helped. Now as a single guy, what does that have to do with me? Did the couple consult me before they had a child? Am I somehow responsible? Is it my child? The RP is mostly about dating strategy. A single mum is a single mum regardless of whether the dad is a deadbeat or not. Men are looking to date women, they are not assessing men on their parental ability. If I were able to be impregnated by a man, I would be more bothered as i would not want to be impregnated by a man who would abandon me. Sort of the same as I would not want to get with a woman who has a history of out of control spending.

Also it is acknowledged hat deadbeat dads are not doing their fair share. No-one is denying that, however for a man looking for a relationship, it is irrelevent. If the deadbeat dad tried to tell me it was my job to raise his child, I would tell him that no, it is his.

It's similar to criminals, there's nothing we can do to force them into line because they don't care either way. Women have a fixation on fitting into the social order and believe that men can be shamed back into line, but men are much less likely to give a shit about the social order.

The only way to protect yourself from being a single mom is to not fuck these guys in the first place. Women don't want to do that because they find those guys initially attractive and exciting. It should alway be pointed out that when it's brought up that most women get custody of a child, in many cases it's due to the man not wanting main custody.

It seems to me that women however do have a lot more option than men when it comes to child bearing. Women can not have have sex, contraseption, abortion, adoption, keeping the child with child support from the father and/or government, raise the child with the father(hopefully).

Men don't have a lot of choice when a pregnancy happens, they are at the mercy of the mother because of the legal system.

I'm leaving out a lot of nuance here, but you get my point.

In the end, what is most important is the child. It's seems reasonable to me that both parents helps out with the economic burden of a child, instead of society as a whole do so with tax money.

It would be a lot better for everyone(specially the kid) if our legal system wasn't biased in favor of mothers as opposed to fathers.

And deadbeat fathers that simply take no responsibility. They are among the lowest among us. They aren't what I consider true men. They should be shamed by society as a whole, and they should be ashamed of themselfs.

I don't have any default bad opinion of single mothers, but the responsibility is different because she always had the option to abort. Being absent is like male abortion. So if she didnt choose to abort and then ends up giving you a bad life, then that is a direct consequence of her choice, because life can be a big burden if it sucks.

Plus those absent fathers probably would be even worse to have stick around. That isn't the point.

If you ask me, ALL the finger pointing is awful. Both parents came together to create that child, and blaming each other just makes it less likely that child will have a good upbringing.

Ultimately each parent has a tough, but simple, choice to make when it comes to their child. The woman has to choose whether to terminate her pregnancy/give up her baby for adoption. The man has to choose to stay with the woman or financially support her decision. Both choices for both parents are shitty, but that's the consequence for having children out of wedlock.

So I just dont care as much about the women, I do want to help her, but honestly it would be to prevent it from happening. I do give major kudos to her for raising that child alone, but tbh being a parent is hard and being a good parent is exceptional but just because you are a parent and a women doesn't mean I'm going to feel sorry for you. However I still think the Dad is a piece of shiy and that the manosphere seems to have this stupid fucking notion that a man who impregnates women and leaves them is alpha. It is a very complicated topic.

First of all, did the father know that there was a child coming before he left? If not, then he's 100% innocent. If he knew, then yeah, he's just as responsible as the mother, and the fact that he left is a huge dick move.

But it gets more complicated. If the child is told by their mother that the dad just left them, well, what if the mother is lying? There's a ton of things to consider there. If the mother is not doing a good job as a mother, the child might idolize the man that should be in the father's place. What I'm saying is that if the child only ever knew one of the parents, there really is no way of knowing anything about their father other than what the mother has said over the years.

Why am I focusing on the child? Because at the end, that's the important part. If a guy gets a girl pregnant, finds out and disappears, then yes I will judge him. A lot. I can't speak on behalf of all men, or the "manosphere", but my personal opinion is that the guy is an asshole.

But just saying, it does get more complicated than that. That's probably why we don't judge anyone in these situations; it's really hard to say who's at fault on each individual case.

And the whole support thing, well that's a completely different topic, also very complicated. There is the whole "women get favored" thing, there is also the "women spend child support money on themselves instead on the children".

But yeah, maybe I live under a rock or something, but I don't think men hate on single mothers, or that we don't hate on irresponsible idiots. It's just complicated.

If he left after the period when she could have aborted then he has responsibility for the child to because the choice of whether to have the child was made by both of them. (unless she didn't tell him she was pregnant I guess).

From what I've seen MRAs generally emphasise the importance of fathers in their child's life, advocating for men to have more choice in custody arrangements.

We do acknowledge that issue. She choose a dead beat over all the decent guys that wanted her and would've stuck around. Or she was such a bad partner that didn't want to submit and drove him away.

As for the actual support of the child : We need to eliminate child support because it's not really child support it's baby mama support. We need to have 50/50 custody. Also if females have the choice to an abortion and putting the child up for adoption, men deserve the same options. That way men won't be extorted and females will have to pick better men.

We can't keep subsidizing females bad decisions. We also need to control female's primal base instincts. Imagine if we let men act out their primal instincts, yet we do that for females.

Eliminate child support (among other things) and we can have families again and a pretty much happy society.

Because for every deadbeat, there is a woman who misjudged the quality of her man or knowingly mated with an unreliable man. It takes two to tango so both are responsible.

That is of course separate from other cases such as infidelity on both sides or one side, or that the man or woman was just plain crazy and one side could not continue viably with the other.

Yeah, deadbeats should be shamed.

That said, there is some sympathy for guy's in fairly extreme situations:

A man loses his high-paying job and he is working a lower paying one. He is still required to pay lavish child support in line with what he made at his old job. Because of that he is significant debt.
A man tries to be an involved parent, but the woman does everything possible to prevent it. But she still expects the child support payments. It's a misguided but natural reaction to try to punish the woman by withholding child support.
A man has a second family and because of excessive child support payments, his other children are not provided for properly. He withholds some child support so that his other children can also be properly fed, clothed and housed.

Because sane people can work together. Deadbeat dad is usually the result of a male being pushed away. Be it due to abuse, or trickery the man physically leaves, but he doesnt financially leave. She is freed up to find another partner but still has his money or can use him as a backup babysitter. She is "free", by tricking him into thinking he is "free", or pushing him away because she is "crazy", or she asserted he is "abusive".

Endgame speaks for itself. You go from 2 parents caring for the child to 4. From Mom and Dad, to Mom, Dad, Moms new boyfriend, the state, and maybe Dad's new gf. Even in the worst case you get Mom, and the state. And that might be good enough for her if she doesnt have the emotional capacity or willingness to support a relationship.

Why do some people suddenly think that consent isn't important when it comes to getting it from a man? Even if you want to say that consent to sex is consent to parenthood (but only for men, of course), that is still ignoring that society still thinks okay to force men are pay for kids when they are the victim of rape, or the victim of fraud when the man's sperm is stolen from a sperm bank.
