I feel like that's a weird way to ask what I mean so, for example: bachelor parties. Growing up I saw them mentioned in movies/shows/by family and I never understood why 1. The wife seemingly isn't supposed to know what goes on, but the whole thing is that she does kinda know and just doesn't say anything? 2. They go to strip clubs, the night before getting married? 3. They often pay prostitutes at these parties too??

As a kid this was sooo instantly confusing. I didn't understand why you'd have to hide a party from your wife. When I understood the reason for "hiding" it in plain sight like that, I was still so confused as to why it's normalized to cheat on your wife -- like as a full-on TRADITION before getting married. Every woman I saw in consumable media and my family acted like it was fine, 'just how it is,' but I had been told otherwise that cheating is bad. When I got old enough to completely percieve my status as a woman I realized it's absolutely not normal or okay, and I was never okay with it for a reason. Even as a child I knew it was fucked up.
