I pretty much have. I truly believe that 90% of men that complain about shit on here could get laid if they tried hard enough. However, is the juice worth the squeeze?

For me it hasn’t been. Both dating and casual sex have never been easy, and why do something you don’t enjoy for so little of a chance of success? It just seems like a huge waste time. So I’ve taken an indefinite break.

My only goals in life are to live alone and have enough money to travel and visit escorts. I’m not sure how sustainable giving up is when you’re older.

I personally want someone to go through life with. The courts are the biggest obstacle in my way because they make it so that only someone either financially reckless or with a net worth of >~50M would marry a someone outside their wealth/income bracket. I've passed on some otherwise good women because of this issue alone. The idea that income is marital property really needs to be abolished. All of my income is a direct result of prior (financial or time) investments more than it is my current labor. Obviously, none of this mattered with my first wife since we married when we were both 2Lt in the Marine Corps.

Not everyone is built for solitude. It's a privilege if you can embrace it and not veer off into becoming mentally ill to some capacity.

Utilizing alternative means to quell the sexual urge can work, but again not everyone can be emotionally gratified with fulfilling their lust. Hookups, sexworkers, they will never be able to provide emotional catharsis with sex.

I don't oppose the idea of just opting out. It's pretty much what I have been doing, I just understand that it's not for everyone.

So now i'm in stage where (after many years of trying) i don't participate in this whole dating think actively, i wait for woman to give me a clear sign that she is interested, and i will decide then if i'm interested in her and then i will act. For now i didn't have any success with this method but when i was searching actively i didn't have either but it brought me a lot of stress and i felt worthless of love sometimes.

But if we're talking about other men, the blunt reality is social status. A sexually attractive man gets bonuses in their social status both from most opposite-sex-attracted women and from most opposite-sex-attracted men.

Since most members of both sexes are (to some degree) opposite-sex-attracted, the math solves itself.

Why not instead exist to prioritize only yourself

When I first came across TRP, this facet was what helped convince me it had merit. As it mirrored exactly what I had been raised to do.

Whilst it’s a legitimate option, I think prioritising yourself first, is the right step in making yourself more attractive. In TRP, it’s often referred to as; a man need’s a mission. I don’t begrudge anyone their choices, it’s a shame if men don’t prioritise their own goals first. Before ‘checking out.’

Because i realized that i was privileged with enough to be able to succeed in the dating market if i put in enough work.

I was tall and supposedly good looking (id contest that) and apperantly had a wonderful personality women would be lucky to have as a partner at least as far as my AFAB friends would tell me?

Did any of that make a difference? Fuck no

What made a difference was commiting to hitting the gym frequently.

Suddenly i went from struggling to abundance and firmly believe that most men of above appearance and at least average personality traits can do so as well.

I think the reason why these children do not opt out of the dating world is because they get off whinning and complaining about women.

I don’t like that women are only drawn to top tier men. That they seek to be protected and then once they have kids their main goal is to raise and protect their kids. And that in social settings they are wired to evaluate social status of men, always making hierarchies out of things. It sounds like selfish behavior to me.

And to stand out as a man, you have to compete with others and sell yourself. When a guy talks about why he can/can’t get laid, he always mentions height, attractiveness, fitness, education, career, income, etc. Why? Because women care about all those things. It’s just all so…shallow.

It's sub-optimal to opt out. I'd rather not go out of my way, , but still leave the door open to anything good if it comes along. To opt out entirely would mean denying any good opportunity even if it fell into your lap.
