There's not really enough difference between men irl and women irl to warrant what you say about the differences. My last girlfriend loved video games and toys as much as I do. When I broke up with her we were into collecting Hot Wheels.

The real issues between men and women are the same issues that have existed for thousands of years. We 'date' mostly because we want to find 'the one' that we can live with, grow old with, have kids, etc. But even most family members and friends grow tired of living with each other. Hence the fighting among couples and the huge divorce rate. And because media and consumerism has divided us and singled out our personal pleasures, a permanent wedge has been driven between us. On the one hand, it's selfishness pure and simple. But on the other hand can you blame us?

The natural progression of things seems to be an inevitable decline in human population. Not only are births down, but fertility is down. FERTILITY. So environmental and social stressors are actually making us sterile and barren. About half of social scientists now believe that human population will actually start to die out around the year 2100.

I'm in a 3+ year long relationship with a man I'm attracted to and compatible with that is 100% on terms that suit me. There's no actual gender war. A female Tik Toker who falsely accused a male gym trainer of sexual harrassment went viral and a lot of her biggest critics were women. And many critics of the recent Roe Vs. Wade reversal are men(See: Billie Joel Armstrong and Kendrick Lamar). That wouldn't happen if there was an actual "gender war."

This forum is similar to political debate shows/panels where both sides are more interested in "Gotcha" moments than actually finding common ground. I remember catching some women using my exact talking points verbatim while treating me like Lex Luthor just because I happen to be a man who's blunt when I get my points across.

People will never find common ground here for the same way that those political panels won't because it's not designed that way. Men and women go to threads looking for that "gotcha!" moment to make a case for their pill or gender.

However, just like those panels, it's great for entertainment and ratings. People including myself love the fuckery and stick around for it.

Why would men or women descend into madness if they don't date or marry? In that case the person has other mental health issues and loneliness is not the sole reason. Being in a relationship isn't the magical cure to depression. In reality, it doubles the misery.

The issue here is that plenty of people will die mad, but thanks to antidepressants, drugs and distractions they will just life by and let go of dating, so no suffering will motivate them to change or sacrifice anything for a partner.
