The more I read stuff here the more I feel like I’m fucked lol. I’m an introvert, I got social anxiety, I’m quiet, I rarely go out etc. I’m 23 and I feel like I already missed the best chances to socialize(or learn to I guess) I don’t think I’m ugly, I’m 6ft tall, I’m working towards a degree in tech so hopefully a good paying job as well but none of this will matter in trying get women lol

You need to understand why these people become introverts in the first place.

Bad childhood = more likely not to trust people become more introverted

Autistic/socially inept = bad in social environments = more introverted

Ugly = bullied = less likely to interact with people due to being bullied = More introverted

They are involuntarily single due to the criteria above which makes them introverted. Them not being introverted will slightly help their chances at not being single but dont bet on it.

There are odd cases where they just happen to be introverted and then yes if your a guy and your introverted based on the odd case you will be more likely to be involuntarily single.

Edit: when using Introvert alot of people are using it in the sense of being shy , not putting yourself out there , staying isolated so I'm arguing against that. When people use the real.defenition then the ask yourself "why are they not putting themselves out there ".

This is only half true. Yes, of course you're not gonna find anybody if you sit in your room all day and don't talk to anyone. On the other hand, for many people putting yourself out there is like if you multiply a 0 by whatever. Its still 0. I've known super introverted guys who had that certain something that made them interesting regardless and i've known super outgoing types that are seen as entertainment for a laugh or two but nothing more.

But,till about 25 years of age, I you can say that I was involuntarily single.

Yes, you are right, introverted people are more likely to be single. But they are also more likely to be okay with it.
Eventually, you get used to this lifestyle, and start enjoying it to the point, where being in LTR seems to be a inconvenience rather than goal.

The reason you see more introverted people single, is because they are more likely to ve okay with it and get used to it.
(Whereas extroverted people start getting depressed when they are forced to be alone)

You're disregarding the fact that extraversion is correlated with psysical attractiveness.

There's evidence that this is caused by extroverted people spending more time on grooming (see link above). But there's also evidence that attractive people are treated better and thus deriving more enjoyment from social interaction, making them more extroverted.

So there's probably a mix of red pill and black pill factors at play here. Regardless, the evidence suggests that it's probably more useful to tell struggling men to spend more time grooming and working out to make social interaction more enjoyable for them, rather than just tell them to put themselves out there and see how that goes for them.

I enjoy socializing and having friends but I need a lot of alone time. It hasn’t affected my relationship satisfaction

While it’s obvious being introverted will mean you’re less likely to get dates, it’s important to note exactly what makes a person become introverted in the first place.

Odds are, a person who’s introverted is very likely to have had poor status since they were kids. Which comes from their ‘odd’ behaviour or by straight up being ugly and bullied for it. Which then only pushes him towards introversion.

He’s not involuntary single because he’s introverted. He’s introverted because of qualities he has that make him involuntary single (I.E, being autistic, ugly).

Meanwhile a person who’s extroverted likely had a good social upbringing, had normal behaviour and benefited from the halo effect. Will have no issues dating women because whatever qualities he had to get a good social upbringing are qualities women like in men anyway (I.E, not autistic, good looking).

I scored a 73% on the five-factor model for Openness to Experience when I took the test and I can definitely say I'm voluntarily choosing not to date.

I think this mostly sums it up:

Most of the problems I see people posting about with relationships I'll just never experience because as you guys say... "the juice just ain't worth the squeeze", meaning I didn't even bother.

I had two girlfriends in high school and stopped dating at 22. I'm 37 now and haven't dated since. Hookups for sure, but single life since 22.

It's really not that bad. I haven't had to bust my ass 60 hours a week or take shit from anybody like a lot of these married w/children men have to. I'm sure it's worth it for them, but it wasn't worth it to me.

I still don't rule out finding a companion someday but then again, I'll probably be just fine.

It's really nice not hearing a woman nag about stuff - I just always preferred for them to leave if they were gonna' start bitching. Let other guys with the stomachs and patience deal with'em.

With all that said, this is why I struggle with the incel mentality. If they really knew what it was like to date, some of them would voluntarily stay away from it for sure.

Just saw a tall guy posting about how only "dumb women" seemed to orbit him in the end because the smart women knew better than to stick around since he didn't have much going for him besides height. My experience has been the exact opposite because I'm more of an intellectual, and not a physical specimen by any means but I can lure in the smart women and ones who make a good amount of money, but the dumb ones just don't even know I exist because they're not lookin' for intelligence. I guess I'm just mentioning this part because there's different types these women fall for and it's not all the same - they're not just going for tall men, most of them want a man who can at least feign intelligence and has the potential to earn money. So when I see an incel write "women aren't into smart men", that means you're dealing with a really LV woman and you should move on fast. Let them keep orbiting the tall guy because that's all their small lizard brains can really process.

Why do you always think FDS has some icky obsession over height over there? It's LV stuff that they've already fallen for before and that's all they're gonna' keep fallin' for. I use'ta think that group's over-intelligence was hurting them but now I realize it's the opposite. No woman I've ever dated sounds like them or anything close to it.

Well, it makes sense. Extroverts get out more and have more opportunities to meet potential partners. This also affects men more than women, because introverted women get approached anyway - through work or friends. They don't need to expend that much effort to 'put themselves out there'.

Woman who is in the middle here. I get so frustrated with the pandemic and online dating because I have way more in person abilities and just socializing makes it a million times easier to meet people. It’s actually kind of ridiculous how much better it gets when I get to just go out and meet people. If I go to an event or join a new group there’s usually at least one guy who expresses interest.

My brother is a hyper extrovert and he’s always dating. He’s always striking up conversations with people… and as a guy he has the benefit of being able to go up to women and approaching them. As a woman, i can do that but honestly some men still find it weird when women do that.
