Probably because it helps with anxiety? Like as a socially anxious person, if I’m not on anxiety medication I need to drink to have casual conversation with strangers, much less casual sex. And sex is way more awkward in my opinion.

Also for me at least alcohol just makes me feel friendlier. And it makes you less worried about any risks you may normally be concerned with. I got really drunk on my 21st birthday and told the bouncer at a gay bar she was pretty, and normally I’m scared to compliment people.

Alcohol gives women plausible deniability to engage in the behavior they really want to engage in to begin with. They can always say, oh god, I blew some guy in the bathroom I met 5 mins earlier, but it was only because I was drunk. For men, alcohol helps us lower our inhibitions and neuroses so we can grow a pair of balls and go talk to women.

A combination of alcohol lowering inhibitions and woman who go out clubbing and drinking being more likely to look for or be okay with casual sex in the first place. I wouldn't recommend having casual sex when alcohol is involved though for consent reasons.

Based on the dual controls model sex happens when the balance of turnoffs (sexual inhibitions) and turnons (sexual excitation) tips in favor of excitation. Secondly, alcohol consumption that results in casual sex will usually happen in venues and contexts where there's narrative/life-script support for engaging in casual sex. Women are very aware that guys want to fuck them, so even going to a "fuckzone" like a bar etc means that she's performed significant emotional labor and cognitive conditioning and self-grooming. So many of the inhibitions are already worked out before the woman goes to the bar.

It lowers your inhibitions but it also serves as an excuse (to some) as a means to do whatever tf they want. I legit had a girl who's friends sent her tits out to like a couple guys on her snap, asked her why she sent that and her friend legit just said "I was drunk lol" and provided no further explanation. Obviously she was feeling a bit horny when she did that and asked her friend to sent it to a bunch of guys (or maybe she did it herself) but "I was drunk" is literally the excuse they're looking for. It's a shame honestly.

The main thing that it gives women is an excuse when they do things they want but might be externally shamed for. Leading to the second thing it does, makes them not give a shit about the groupthink and appearance to their friends.

I think almost every young lady knows a guy she's always felt attracted to who is a big nope from a social perspective. Usually this is the bad boy but very often it is a guy that's considered either strange or unattractive that she personally disagrees with.

This is not about the taboo no go men like friend's ex, friends brother etc, that's another story entirely

The first guy girls will say "tee hee, i was drunk" and then try to see him while running him down to her friends because he's a douchebag but she knows he's actually a good look to be with because he's hawt

The second guy she would go "omg i can't believe it i was so drunk, embarrassing" while cutting ties with the guy and most girls actually try to run this guy down as little as they can while letting their girls know it was a drunk thing, when they actually know they like him at least a little

It can be just one piece of eye contact on a weird day where she started vibing with an outcast, or she might have been forced to interact with him for a project and realised she liked him

I’ve tried talking to females at drinking establishments with zero luck. They are actually a little less friendly than when I’ve just tried talking to them at stores or wherever. I think they may be a little more on guard in those types of places. Maybe I wasn’t there late enough for them to be at the right level of intoxication. I have no idea.

If woman is under influence of alcohol - there is significant chance she can say later that she was raped. It is very risky situation. Even if it looked consensual and she went to your home, undressed herself, initiated sex, etc. “I was drunk, you used me” is a thing that can ruin your life.

Alcohol inhibits the ability of people to question and restrain their physical impulses. Most women who are drunk are still not going to have sex with the men whom they wouldn’t normally choose to have sex with given enough time to get to know that guy, though.

Drinking raises testosterone, and when you come down it actually lowers it. But when chicks are drunk they experience a spike in it. Basically drunk chicks get a slight glimmer of what it feels like to be a man 24/7; they get fucking horny.

Both. Plus it increases pleasure in all activities and reduces the perception of risk, making stupid or otherwise not-that-enjoyable activities sound like fun. And often, that’s exactly what hooking up is. So to the males here who claim alcohol just gives women an excuse to do what they want to do all the time, sorry but that’s not really accurate. I can assure you we usually have zero desire to hook up with random dudes at the grocery.
