Now I get that the subreddit is called PurplePillDebate ™ not PurplePillAgreement ™ otherwise blind agreements and echo chambers would come to ensue

But one thing I cannot get behind is the lack of a consensus

Modern dating complexity is a modern problem, therefore it requires more modern abstract solutions, just like modern politics

Let's be realistic here, people's preferences and standards are way tighter than ever, this is also the consequence of living in a socially liberated society, people are going to obviously feel more entitled to ridiculous standards, you can also thank social media on that behalf. Social liberalism=rugged individualism on steroids

Now let's get that outta way shall we

It seems to me the main focuses of PPD are

-To still coerce people into dating for the sake of dating cause you know aside from the fact it takes 2 to tangle, relationships are good for a consumerist economy, now I can't find a good citation as far the carbon footprint between singles and couples at the moment as it seems media censorship is only getting more serious about trivial matters like this, but here's an article worth considering https://orge.medium.com/does-capitalism-hate-single-people-d8e4655b3e24 Also, back in Valentine's Day 2019 an article came out proclaiming that since men aren't shopping as much on Valentine's as eons ago, that it was leading up to a retail collapse in the midst of holiday shopping seasons, but here's a video of content creator Shawn James asking the clearer question if this the result of MGTOW https://youtu.be/WVRF62cVsmo

-To victim blame the OP, but not actually focus on the broader issues again that pertain to modern dating

-To start gender wars cause you know controversy sells

-To be contrarian for the sake of being contrarian(of course I understand as I said the subreddit is called PurplePillDebate ™ not PurplePillAgreement ™ so it is kinda the nature of this forum, but even when good points are made by the original poster of any given thread, some of you all get into mental gymnastics mode, rather than actually taking the time to analyze the given premise of said thread)

So, how can we fix the perplexities and complexities of modern dating when you all can't come into solid agreement about any of the fashion statements done by any of the posters here?
