I mean, here’s the MO dating advice for men is to drop your standards and to stop looking for pretty women. I’ve been following this advice and I have dropped my standards so low that the only women I get dates from are women I am not at all attracted to.

I figured attraction would grow as I got to know them, but even after weeks of seeing each other I had no drive for physical intimacy or desire for physical closeness.

However when I try to date women I think are pretty, I get rejected and the the advice given is that my standards are too high.

Maybe I don’t get the nuance. I’m currently in the process of being diagnosed with autism, so maybe I just really am not getting it.
