When both genders engage in discussions whose topics are common in this sub, quite often I've seen women minimize or even ridicule the loneliness many men suffer from.

"Being lonely is no big deal. Just learn to enjoy your own company."

"We women face much bigger problems than loneliness. I wish my biggest worry was not being able to find a partner."

"Being lonely isn't even an actual problem. Boo-hoo! You're so sad because you can't get your little sausage wet. How pathetic."
Really, I once read something like this last one.

I'm not quite sure about this, but I have a suspicion most women start having romantic and sexual experiences (not necessarily sex) as soon as they begin to feel interest in these types of experiences.
What I'm almost certain of is the vast majority of women have a partner (or at least have had a partner) and have sex (or at least have had sex).

I think the above two reasons may explain, though not justify, why women tend to be so unempathetic when a man talks about how hard it's to go years, or even an entire life, without touching anyone. Most women haven't experienced anything like that.

It's strange to me that women show a marked interest in mental health and yet are so closed-minded when this topic is brought to the table. I suppose this happens due to tendency to see themselves as being quite detached from sex, whereas it's men who are the obsessed ones. Curious that the more "elevated and disinterested" group is the most active in these matters, while the more "inferior and basic" group has to deal with the drought.

Last night I came across a TikTok from a girl lamenting she has been touch starving for almost five years. At certain points in the video she couldn't hold back the tears.
It would be nice if women in this sub would tell us what their longest period has been with no partner, no friend with benefits and no one night stands, complete nun lifestyle.

To conclude, I leave three points to preempt three possible replies.

>No, physical intimacy (sex included) isn't a basic need like eating, breathing or sleeping. Physical intimacy, however, is a great help in cementing a person's mental health and without it it's common that all sorts of psychological issues arise.

>No, I'm not saying lonely men are entitled to sex and women are obligated to provide it.

>My personal situation (whether I'm a kissless-hugeless-handholdless virgin or an accomplished porn performer) is irrelevant to this post. I'm talking about something I see happening in a global context, not in my individual context.
