Probably a straight male. I don’t think it would be easy mode with dating compared to how it is now, especially if I have to be average, but I think I would get easy mode in a lot of other ways. It would be easier to be in certain male dominated fields I’m interested in if I were a straight man. I would also have a lot more options who were women, as there are way more straight women than queer women.

Of all members of LGBT gay men:

Suffer the highest amounts of violent assault
- In countries inclined as such, suffer more under the law
Have the highest substance abuse issues
Suffer the highest incidences of rape

Maybe it’s a generational thing. But I’m friends with a few gay men and I would not describe their early dating experiences as “easy mode” at all. Once they found a good guy they were usually happy asf but the “getting there” stage was actually pretty difficult and all of them have been in hospital at one point or more because of homophobic idiots.

None of the lesbian women I know have been hospitalised by a random stranger when hitting the club scene at night.

I think a lot of women romanticise the lives of gay men. Pretty much all of the “issues” faced by people within the LGBT community such as discrimination and violence are dominated as being experienced by gay and bisexual men.

Like when people talk about police brutality and LGBT, the quiet part they don’t say loud is that 99% of those cases are gay men. Same for countries killing gay people, or throwing them in jail. “It’s an LGBT community issue” they chant, when in most cases, it’s nearly exclusively a gay men issue. But they never frame it that way.

So I disagree being a gay man is easy mode. Maybe in hollywood. In reality it means you get slapped with all the bad behaviours from others of being LGBT, but not being identified specifically as suffering from that. Instead “the blob” claims your suffering.

“The grass is always greener on the other side”is a saying for good reason. Everyone has problems that matter to them. No matter what sex and orientation you are, you’re still going to have problems that feel overwhelming. This sub makes it pretty clear both men and women feel like they have it worse than the other. I think if this experiment were possible then everyone would realize life’s difficult regardless of what type of person you are. “Easy mode” only exists for people who are born extremely attractive or extremely wealthy and that’s still not necessarily easy. I’m a hetero male, and I wouldn’t change.

As a hetero man, probably a homo man. It would be so much easier finding a partner, and I think it would be easier getting along with that partner long term too. Dealing with women is kinda exhausting, so not having to do that would be such a chill life I think.

But if we also had a way to make women's bodies as good as men's (same strength, height, no menstruation, fertile until way later in life, etc.), I would 100% pick a heterosexual woman. That just seems like life on easy-mode. Same as a homo man in terms of finding and keeping a partner being easy, but I'd also have a much easier time socially, and would get a nice boost career/salary-wise too.

higher capabilities of male physical strength and intelligence(well not exactly but males have a better chance of being of high iq even if most are avg) and are taken more seriously without relying on beauty, youth or sexual appeal

and the obvious trap of being male is sexual frustration, you could achieve big things if you remove that obstacle for other passions.
