The only group I participated in on FB for pregnancy required that you provide proof of being a pregnant woman. Time stamped ultrasound images with a matching FB name to the patient name on the images had to be submitted to an admin in order to be let in to the group. They had to do this because so many men kept trying to infiltrate the group for fetish pictures. They'd setup a fake Facebook account posing as a pregnant woman to gain access and even post seemingly innocent questions to get woman to post pictures of their bellies. I never posted pictures of myself on there but a lot of people did.

I believe this is the forum I used to participate on several years ago, and it was still an issue then. It's all about natural long hair care (advice, recipes for natural deep conditioners, growth progress updates, etc), and there was a notable subset of religious minded or pious women active on there too, so the overall vibe was pretty modest or polite, definitely not a vulgar environment. However male fetishists were a real issue -- they'd register accounts to access pics and contact users with weird requests. Pretend they were women who wanted to meet up to sell/swap products. A lot of the women didn't show their face in their pics bc they felt unsafe. Mods vetted each registration and warned users to not give out info or do meetups after stories like this. Shame we can't let our guard down and connect with women freely without perverts ruining everything.

Crazy but somehow not shocking at all...
