I'm tall, in very good shape and quite handsome. Never in my life I've villified women because of their taste, but I can recall being acused of "mysoginy" and "shaming women's bodies" after I rejected the proposal for a long term relationship from a chubby girl I had had sex with a few times.

Lots of women have tried to shame me for liking beautiful girls. I was shamed publicly when I revealed I was dating a girl 8 years younger. I've been acused of being superficial because I like beautiful women. I've been acused of racism because I only date one kind of woman (my kind).

God forbid if I said "I only date thin, beautiful "that race" girls who are a decade younger than me".

I can't state my preference without turning women's heads.

On the other hand, I've never acused a woman of a single thing, and I've never heard another man say a woman is bad because she only likes 1 in 30 men. They just accept it, may be take it with a grain of salt.

Women literally have an entire movement worldwide that advocates men should accept all women no matter their bodies and looks.

I think a large part of it isn’t a desire to vilify women, but rather to point out an aspect of observable reality that both men and women are awfully fond of denying or minimising. That’s it. The desire to track the truth of our situation even if it is uncomfortable or unpleasant. Though, obviously I won’t say that there aren’t also many whose motive is more in line with what was said above.

Women are not being vilified for it. TRP is about explaining that women have that side to their sexuality which is very different from what most men get to experience. BP men get in denial or outright angry when TRP discusses it, women get angry too. If a man gets attractive enough, women get just as thirsty as men are and they get sexually aggressive.

Well, even guys don't turn their heads at every woman they are attracted to. And we don't really know precisely what percentage of men women are attracted to. It's a much lower percentage than men are attracted to in women, but that is all we know.

Nobody should be villifiying women. That said, there does seem to be some play in terms of what percentage of men women can be attracted to. Personal choice to try to find more guys attractive, cultural influence, and the absolute attractiveness levels of men seem to all have some impact.

The wider selection of men that women can find sufficiently attractive, the better for women and men's happiness in general it seems. The better for social cohesion. So we should be looking for measures to make women find more men attractive.

If that's how women truly are (and for the sake of this post and the argument let's assume it to be true), then it isn't about vilifying them. Or at least it shouldn't be. But it's to point out that men have significant challenges in the dating market. Very real ones that are swept under the rug as those same women gaslight men and say it's all their fault, are told them are toxic, indoctrinated to hate themselves, etc. Just even a basic form of empathy or acknowledgement would go a long way, but men aren't granted even that by the vast majority of women. It isn't about vilifying anyone, just seeking validation.

It's much lower than that. I'd date someone who is 7+ years older than me and -2 younger. That alone is less than 20% of men. Take away the guys who aren't single and obese guys and it's less than 1%. But there are still millions of guys who do fit the criteria. So it doesn't bother me.

Not trying to defend "nice guys" but I think they vilify and complain because they feel like it's unfair that average woman has easier time dating in or above her league while average man has to work harder for the same thing.

Some men just accept the reality and work on themselves or just give up and some react in a different way - they lash out and demand women to change, but that's never gonna work, and the fact that it's never gonna work makes them more angry, therefore they are lashing out more which makes them even more unattractive... it's a vicious cycle for these men, that's why they are the loudest and you see them complaining CONSTANTLY. They are the loud ones and the only ones you hear. That's why it looks like all men vilify women. It's only the losers who vilify them.

The guys who get women don't complain. It's just about anything, not just dating - you just don't see happy people complaining, why would they? So when you only see the unhappy ones screaming it creates an illusion that everyone is like that.

I don't see so many people actively shaming women for this. Most people I see stating this "fact" are doing so in a neutral context, often using it to argue for why men should level up. "I will work on myself so i will have higher chances to find a suitable partner." What i often see here is that the argument is made neutral, then some cherry picker comes along, totally disregard any context and play the offended victim for whatever reason.

There are - of course - extremist groups and individuals who do that, but it's not "mainstream" and they are often looked down by the majority of the manosphre. In most cases, they do it for the exact opposite reason, to justify their laziness for working on themselves. "No woman will chose me, no matter what i do, so it's better to do nothing."
