This subreddit has the potential to reestablish some trust between the sexes through venting, discourse & polite disagreement.

Sure, most of the userbase here are suspicious with what they want to get out of it, but sometimes common dating issues lead to mutual agreement on the causes & solutions for it.

Once enough trust is established, then it is possible to start turning the current zero-sum understanding of the sexual marketplace into something less miserable for those involved.

I’m a woman. I’m here because I find I live in a bubble that thinks very “one-directional”. So it’s enlightening to learn how other people perceive the world. I enjoy reading comments that challenge some beliefs and I like to force myself to think outside of my own convictions.

There’s a few people on here that have the opposite view from me, but I always enjoy reading their comments, as they tend to elaborate and support their points very well.

The only reason I'm in this sub is I'm FASCINATED by sexual marketplace, gender dynamics, modern dating, etc.

Because the current dating market is plagued with a lot of stressed, lonely and frustrated people and many of the things they say will be censored on other platforms like r/dating, so this platform allows us to speak our minds… unless it has to do with race. That censorship is lame.

Sometimes I look at Tom Brady, Leo Messi, Lebron James, Chris Hemsworth, Cristiano Ronaldo, men who have achieved so much and have secured their place as one of the immortals, and I am so far behind them, and then I come to PPD and I realize that I'm one of the most normal, healthy, and well-adjusted dudes in our society LMAO.

I use PPD to feel better about myself xoxoxo.

oh, and my sisters inherited my mother's looks, who was a fashion model, and since they are in their teens and their early 20s, they have all sorts of weirdos from all age groups, so I read PPD and send them links to the threads and comments that I find to be the most mentally ill, as a way for my sisters to learn how to recognize red pillers and black pillers out there in the wild.

People who had suffered through [seemingly gender specific] hardships. Most of the women here had extreme negative experiences with men in their past, and most of the males are extremely stunted so far as their emotional maturity is concerned due to life experiences.

Another potential commonality is that most of them have a rather heightened form of self interest, or at least seeing making sacrifices for the greater good of society something for suckers.

From what I've seen, many bitter people who are (understandably) frustrated with the current dating climate (which is honestly an ever-devolving dumpsterfire) and trying to cope and figure out solutions for themselves, with most of them doing so in unhealthy ways. Me though? I'm here for the interesting topics of discussion, to help where I can and generally offer a balanced perspective and a glimmer of hope (to show that NAWALT and NAMALT and that both men and women can do and expect better in relationships) since so many here trend toward extremist thinking about the opposite sex which only adds to their and others' woes and continues to fuel the battle of the sexes and the dumpsterfire in general, but I like to try understanding others' perspectives too on some level even if I disagree with them. There are other people like myself here too, but I don't think we're the majority since this sub was probably created above all as an outlet for venting about one's own experiences regarding the piss-poor state of romantic/sexual relationships these days.

These guys are usually contrarians who enjoy playing devil's advocate and debating. I like getting to the truth, and I mean the cold hard truth personally coming from redpill background, I hate liars, and certaintly wont tolerate my women I date to lie, or its out the door.

What are traits that the user’s of PPD share that they find themselves investing in this subreddit?

Being a lurker for almost a full year now, and a poster till recently, I see a lot of mixed bags.

I see a lot of feminists from FDS that don't know any better.

On the other spectrum:

I see a lot of people that conflict in general with what they percieve as ''reality''coming from their life experiences/morales/standards/preferences etc etc...

-One of my biggest pet peeves on this sub is the general lack of knowledge/research that people don't often do. For example you mention Redpill, everyone assumes your some type of incel ready to strike with vengeance for you own short-comings, when the truth is the complete opposite. Ive seen plenty of women using emotion in debates rather then evidence to support their claims and seem to put everything in the same bag, done and dusted mentality so to speak...

-A general mis-understanding from a lot of folks on PPD from time to time in the comment section as mentioned above example...

-Although I must praise when people use stats/researchs/links to make their debate/argument its a good sight to see, we can always agree to disagree to...

I guess personally, I like this sub becuase it attracts everyone regardless of views, blue/red/fds/manosphere in general/ etc etc.. to come to somewhat of an agreement and/or general view of our current struggles and dating scene.
