We have been married for over 20 years, together for almost a quarter of a century. I fell in love with him the moment I first met him back in February 1997 and have never ever ever been remotely interested in any other man or wanted anybody else since that moment. We didn't get together for a little over a year and I thought I was going to lose my mind.

I love him more than anybody else except our children. I have spent my entire adulthood with him, we have decades of shared history, our entire selves are inextricable from one another in ways that are impossible to understand if you are in your late teens or early twenties. I've done everything I possibly can to make sure that he is able to get what he needs and do what he wants.

He was very very ill this past summer and for a while it looked like he wouldn't make it. The greatest calamity of my life so far was the death of my father, but even the possibility of Mr. Bradley dying eclipsed that so thoroughly there was not even a comparison. I have never felt so frozen. Fortunately, he pulled through and has made as complete a recovery as possible.

I've been with my husband for 10 years this year, married 4. He is a a king, an angel. I sometimes literally cannot believe how nice he is and what a good husband he is. Today before he left for work he steamed up the bathroom for me and gave me a face massage to relieve my sinus pressure. He always makes me feel appreciated and he is very physically affectionate - my two love languages. He is cool and hilarious and always honest. He has great work ethic and great character and watching him be a dad has been the pleasure of my life. Plus he lays good pipe.

I love my husband. We've been together for more than 7 years now and for last few years we both work and study from home, so we literally spend 24/7 together. We still aren't bored with each other and always have something to talk about.

He's intelligent, trust-worthy, he has a great sense of humor. He's good at self-reflection, he's great at communicating his feelings and worries, he's caring and attentive, he always notices when I'm stressed and tries to make my life better and easier. We have common hobbies and interests, we're each other's studying partners and we help each other with work and study projects.

He makes me feel loved, valued and cared for. He knows me better than anyone else, I know that with him I can be myself.

I love my partner. He makes me want to better myself for him and I want to care for him. He's funny and laidback and helps balance out my more hectic and anxious nature. I love how hard-working he is and how compassionate he is for people less fortunate than him. I admire him for his strength and how he's persevered through difficult situations. He comes from a much rougher background than me, and I appreciate how he helps me see things from a different perspective. He's patient and kind with me, but we can also joke and have fun without needing to worry about inadvertantly hurting one another's feelings. We have common values and goals in life and we enjoy each other's company. We get along great and we always handle our disagreements with a mature discussion and never resort to raising voices or attacking one another's persons. He's very forgiving but also holds me accountable to my actions.

I've known my partner for 20+ years. We met when we were 13 on an old fanfiction website (we're both writers, though back then we were just "aspiring" writers lol). We liked one another's art and writing so we chatted a lot. As we got older we began visiting each other, then we moved to the same city.

We were best friends then we became lovers. We talk about everything. I met my husband in 2013. We were older than most of you whippersnappers - I was 42 and he was 48, both previously married, I had a kid and he never has. We were supposed to be a short term fling - two loners filling a void for each other until it fizzled out. It never fizzled. Over time he's become my best friend, my confidante, and my partner in crime. He's hilarious, interesting, fun, sexy as hell, and he complements me in in the best ways. Some of my friends' relationships didn't make it through the pandemic, but I can't think of anyone I would have rather spent it with (except my kid, but she was grown up and out by then). I think 95% of our time spent together is happy time in general.

What I love the most : We can really be ourselves with each other. We pretty much always speak our mind and don't have to sugar coat things. It seems like so many people struggle with basic communication with their partners and are always worried about hurting feelings, and it sounds suffocating. Bold of you to think we have partners in the first place, which is why most of the replies come from women lmao. Easy to have a happy relationship when you never have to struggle for it because you get dozens, if not hundreds of offers throughout the years and the only thing you have to do is pick the one you like the most.

Meanwhile, if you're a regular dude, you don't get any offers. You have to send them instead, the candidates you want the most reject you and you have to either take the first candidate that accepts, which leaves you unhappy in the relationship, or you refuse to drop your standards and remain alone, which may or may not still leave you unhappy.

If there's one advantage of being female, it's the ability to find a compatible partner much, much easier. Males have to either take what they can get or sweat their asses off to climb the social ladder high enough to attract their actual compatible partner or die trying. It's not that different to what happens in the animal world.

Speaking from experience, I think in long term relationships, unless they work on it, women have a tendency to lose sexual interest in their partner, while men have a tendency to lose romantic interest in their partner.

This is made worse by the fact that we now marry later in life, as men don't get the best of their wives sexually and women don't get the best of their husbands romantically.

I think a lot of women would be shocked to find out just how romantic their husbands were with other women, before they settled down.

I’ve been with my wife 12 years. I’m 45 now. She’s 38. I knew from the first date (and honestly from the messaging leading up to the date) she was the one. She knew as well. She called her mom after our first date and told her she just met her future husband. We met on Match. Why do I love her? Here are the reasons:

-she’s incredibly pretty with a tight, toned, petite figure. She’s got stunning green eyes, long brown hair, and is flexible AF. She used to dance ballet actually and is still ridiculously fit. I disagree with people who say women hit the wall at 25. Depends on how well you eat, exercise, skin care routine and depends on genetics too.

-she’s super educated with two masters degrees and is successful in her field from a professional standpoint

-she’s an amazing mother to our two boys.

-we’ve shared an inordinate amount of experiences together. We’ve climbed Kilimanjaro, camped in the Serengeti, wine tasted in some of the oldest wineries in the world in France, rock climbed up the Grand Teton together, backpacked from Buenos Aires to Patagonia. The list could go on.

-she doesn’t subscribe to stupid courtship rules and is genuinely happy being with me. She paid for our 2nd date. We had sex 6 days after meeting one another. And climbed Mt. Washington on our 3rd date in sub zero weather.

-she’s willing to take chances and isn’t afraid to take a risk for someone/something. It’s important to me that a woman pursues me as much as I pursue them.

-I know she’s always got my back and will be there no matter what. I used to make high 6 figures to 7 figures a year. When COVID hit I lost my high stress, high paying job. I wanted to downshift and work less. I work part time now. Like 15 hours a week. Still make six figures but she was supportive and understanding the whole time. She transitioned from part time to full time when that happened. And doesn’t care that I never want to work in a pressure cooker environment again.

-I had been with a lot of women before her. TRP is right in that women will pretty much trip over themselves for tall, dark, successful, good looking men. This nonsense about women being choosers and men taking what they get is utter crap. I had a cornucopia of women I could have settled down with. My wife knows about my player days. She’s asked why I wanted her out of all the others and I’ve told her that I chose her because not only did she have the aforementioned looks, smarts, sense of adventure, and personality but she had a great relationship with her parents and her father in particular. She respected and trusted men. She didn’t have any mental health issues and wasn’t on any psych meds. She had no trauma in her upbringing at all. While those things can be overcome and they’re not a flaw I’ve found they can be a hindrance or reduce the likelihood of being in a smooth, healthy relationship. Being with her has and will always be easy.

I love my man. He is my partner! I couldn't do this without him and I'm grateful to him for his love and support. He is also awesome, can do many things competently and constantly amazes me with his ingenuity. It doesn't hurt that he also has a great sense of humor and can dance!

Yes, I love my partner. He is the best decision Ive ever made. He was worth all the BS I had to put up with to find him.

I love that he is

-intelligent, hard working (but not to the point to neglect our relationship and our daughter),

-goofy, witty,

-appreciates what I bring to the table, appreciates my hobbies that do not interest him and lets me partake in them, rare in men IMO

- he views money as "our money" and feels he has properly vetted me/trusts me enough for that, rare in men IMO

-he compromises on issues and conflicts (VERY rare in men IMO), seeks to understand me and actually follows through on things from them

- provides emotional support which is rare in men IMO (he doesnt believe in being anyones therapist though)

- is good in bed and has a similar sex drive to me, the few times we have differed he is understanding about it

-Doesnt have an excessive amount of baggage that affects our rel, rare in men IMO

-is interested in some similar things to me that I have not found in other people.

-also should add I like his family overall and can see how he turned out the way he has. Him and his family enhance my life.

I love that I can be myself fully around him and not feel the need to change, minimize or exaggerate certain beliefs, personality traits, mannerisms, etc. to be around him. I dont have to be afraid of being vulnerable either- he makes me feel better, not worse. I trust him to not use information against me later.

I love that I dont have this nagging feeling in the back of my head that Im settling or that Im not all that happy (when I do have those times they dont last long, we have always been able to resolve it) in fact I have had times where I think he is TOO good for me, which I had to adjust to because hes the only man where Ive ever felt that way.

Little late to the post. My husband is my favorite person to be around. He is intelligent. He is good with money. We have been together 11 years and married for 8 of those years. He loves our cats, dogs, chickens and cows. We don’t have any children. He is so loving and gentle. He loves me unconditionally and I love him unconditionally. He take care of himself and good with fashion. He annoy me occasionally like with his random spirt of energy to vacuum at 10 pm but he cleaning so I just let him do it. I have a very trusting relationship. We pick at each other. We send each other funny videos and memes. We cuddle on the couch. Our sex life still going strong. I honestly don’t think I remarry or possibly date if something happen to him. In my mind there is no one like him. He has been amazing since I been involved in group fitness after getting off work and don’t have as much time at home to cook dinner, clean, wash dishes or laundry.
