I just got done watching XqC (famous twitch streamer) debate Andrew Tate (red pill gorilla). Tate made the claim that men have a masculine responsibility to protect the woman he agreed to form a relationship with from physical threats. XqC proceeded to reverse the situation and say "If my girl is more competent with a weapon, then I'll let her handle it."

Honestly, I was floored when I heard this take. I'm like, "sure, if my girl was a trained assassin, then yeah." But what the actual hell is the point of even mentioning this? There's like a less than 1% chance of that happening. Seriously, what significance does it have? All that proves is that a small group of women are shooters in the streets. Not all dude are shooters either yeah, but most shooters ARE dudes.

That point was used to try and disprove the claim that men have a DUTY to protect their women. It was a dumb point sure, but what followed really threw me off. I went to twitter and youtube and was greeted by a tsunami of men asking questions like, "who assigns this DUTY to men", and "If I act we can both die." I understand why so many women have such a low opinion of men. Men today lack a sense of duty and responsibility. (women too but that's not the topic) The desire to protect your loved ones isn't something someone instructs you to have. If you care about something or someone, you protect them. If you cannot do so effectively, what reason does any woman have to respect you as a man. What y'all think?
