These days I assume every women I match with/date has a sexual history I would find repulsive.

This is actually a huge advantage because it's impossible for me to catch feelings unless something about them can prove otherwise, and I never have to ask any questions. This allows me to treat every woman as just for fun, which makes them want me even more lol.

There is an evolved ick for promiscuity for females that is larger, and sets in at lower levels of promiscuity, than for women. Even women feel the asymmetry IMO, though not so much as men.

But it is not the strongest of impulses. There are still some good reasons for it, but technology has rendered the strongest ones moot.

So the question is what to do with it.

I think the funniest argument against caring about body count is people saying that women with lots of partners will have a PhD in sex and be masters at it. This feels like a stupid fantasy arrived at by binging Sex and the City and porn. Pleasing a man isn't hard at all, honestly, in my experience, and if your girlfriend or wife loves you, she will ask you what you like and work at it. It differs per man, and especially per woman, so even if you have ample experience, you will have to communicate and test it out, and if you love each other that will be a pleasant and rewarding experience. What actually matters for 'better' sex is physical fitness, stamina, being open to each other's desires, love.

Body count is such a hot topic because women just can't get over the fact that men care. Sorry -- I just don't like it when you have done the most intimate act possible with several other men before me, nor do my friends, nor will you ever convince society at large, because it's a primal disgust that you can't reason away. It's also supported by statistics, which clearly show that marriages between people with fewer sexual partners are more longer lasting. If you want to fuck around, fine, but take responsibility for your actions. I was reading old Chinese novels, and wouldn't you know it, this completely different culture also favored chastity and modesty. Almost as if it's universal.

Why do some men care about n-count and others don’t?

After my divorce I went out with a guy around my age, he was 26. He was a good looking guy, no reason to be insecure about himself. On the night of our first date I gave him a handjob. He enjoyed it, but after that he got all weird. He started getting anxiety about how many guys I’ve been with and if I really did like him or not. I told him that I voluntarily gave him a handjob and I wouldn’t do that if I didn’t like him. That calmed his nerves until we had sex. Apparently I was too good and it scared him into thinking I was a slut. I had to end things after that, he was an absolute mess.

About a year later I met my fiancé. He was 39 when we met. I work at a bikini barista stand and he would come by a couple times a week. These are just my experiences with both ends of the spectrum. What makes some men care, and others not? Is it age? Confidence? Is it just wired into us?

For me, under 2 or over 25 are red flags. I’m in my late 20’s and date people in my age range. At this point, 2 or less partners points to antisocial behavior and someone who doesn’t have enough experience to know what they want. Sleeping with 2 different people provides some variety at least before settling down. Of course there’s some exceptions, like if they broke up with their high school sweetheart in college then had one more relationship for a few years. 25+ would show a lack of commitment and a lack of judgment or standards. Having a few one night stands or FWB (that you cut off and unfollow once you start a new relationship) in between relationships is fine. I usually have ~2 hookups in between LTRs as a mini ho phase.

The best way to avoid them hoes like the plague is to actively search for that woman you like rather than defensively trying to avoid what you dont like.

For example is pretty obvious a woman with dyed hair, loads of piercings and tattoos has been the toy of many douchebags, any guy who cares about the past would be an idiot approaching a woman like that for anything long term.

Unfortunately in real life not all poisonous animals have developed such warning mechanisms, so the best thing to do is to define what kind of values women with low n have, and filter based on those values, that has worked for me three times as of now, and if they say they share those values, you can press them about it, that way you can spot those "born again virgins" and "people change" dumb hoes.

High N count is not good in either men or women. I wouldn't seriously date a man with a super high count because of the very great risk he'd either leave me to chase girls or just cheat on me. I have no problem with my partner having past partners and sex before me.

Likewise, I wouldn't date a virgin man for similar reasons- he'd either get FOMO for never sleeping with another woman (I know I had it with my first partner), or just be weird/jealous about the fact that I had sex before.

Eh, men will not back down on this preference, and I realize that by getting too high of an n count I could end up missing out on guys I'd actually like to date. I'm also not attracted to enough people to get a really high one. It's worked for me so far.

For all my guys who had trouble getting laid and end up meeting a girl who has a high N-count and likes you, you have 3 options:

I don't think body count has anything to do with someone's character. And judging someone by what their past is, just seems counterintuitive to having a decent relationship with someone. Unless we are talking really high numbers then that person probably isn't relationship focused and prefers more casual settings and that's fine too. But maybe not a person you should want to date because your values and expectations are different. You can only take the person at face value and who they are in the present.

I get it if you have more conservative/religious reasons for wanting someone because of a shared belief on sex and sexuality. But bashing, and calling women who don't share that ideal and calling them "whores" "ran through" "damaged goods" making the comments about labia's because they don't fit YOUR standard is just entitled and stupid and says more about the person saying those things than the person who doesn't fit your standards. And claiming their whole value as a person has to with their sexual past. You are completely entitled to have values around sex and if it's something important to you but not entitled to make everyone fit that standard.

I would be more critical about why their last relationship didn't work out. That's where you get the red flags and stuff. Did they become inattentive aloof and stop putting in effort after courting... Did they cheat? Did they make promises and not keep them? That says more about someone than them having a wild year in college and experimenting with sex.
