Honestly it's wierd. With almost every new partner the sex is so much better than it previously was. You occasionally wonder how you were satisfied with past partners.

I've discovered so much of what I like (and don't like) sexually, I'm way more confident with sex and know exactly what I want and how to ask for it. I've had some exciting and fun times and met some really cool and Interesting men.

The downsides are that there is occasionally rejection and heartbreak. I got deeply involved in a casual partner who didn't reciprocate and that sucked. I've also had enjoyable sex and the guy wasn't interested in a repeat encounter which obviously hurt my ego. But hey, ho, that's life.

Boyfriends like that I'm confident sexually and 'skilled" in some areas. They also like that I love sex for the sake of it and that gives them an ego boost.

Not much. Some were very disappointing and awkward, some were lots of fun and great memories. Been married a long time, didn’t ruin my “pair bonding “ in the least.

I would say my life experiences influenced my choice to engage in casual sex much more than casual sex influenced my life.

If it includes FWB, then it has been a great experience. 10/10, having sex with your best friend who respects you as a person and cares about you is wonderful. I've never had hookups/ONS and honestly no desire to whatsoever. For me, it would be a joke compared to what I have currently.

It has changed me because I previously was scared of the idea of sex. I'd always been told it was uncomfortable, painful, girls bleed if they're a virgin, men don't care if you are enjoying it or not, etc. But sharing my virginity with him was fantastic and I am looking forward to sharing sexual intimacy with a new guy someday.

Honestly, it made me understand that I don’t want casual relationships as much as long-term ones, definitely. I’ve only had one relationship and was hurt (wah wah wah), so it’s not that I’m avoiding relationships now per day, it’s just I think relationships should be between mature adults who agree and are attracted to each other and yada yada. Like it has to be a natural connection, but we have to talk about our expectations. But yeah I haven’t had that in a few years. I’m human, and I’ve had attractions and flings. I learned I prefer to relationship sex.

I also learned that everyone thinks everyone else is doing it, causing them to either engage in it or pine away that they’re not engaging in it, and a lot of people end up hurt and with pretty toxic views. I learned it’s not for everyone, men and women can be affected emotionally, and some can’t and don’t. And one should know oneself.

At this point most of my casual sex has been within the context of a relationship - my last serious ex and I liked playing with others. And idk it was fun/interesting and all, but it’s sort of made me realize I really like just being with one person, with the other stuff occasionally/infrequently.

Also, while I enjoy hooking up with women, it’s made me realize that I’m way more into men lol.

Casual sex has made it easier for me to manage my expectations and also helped me learn how to ask for what I want. It also helped me get rid of a lot of shame and fear I had about having sex. And it helped me feel less afraid of men. All positives in my experience

No, but doing anything casual has been so incredibly rare for me. I think it mostly affects people who developed unreciprocated feelings during a FWB situation and got hurt by it.

I’ve never had a ONS. I had two more casual situation-ships that I was hoping might turn into more but never did. I have found I don’t like casual sex or sex outside of a relationship but if other women do - more power to them!
