My ex broke up with me over the phone because I went to a concert with my brother and she didn't like him and didn't want me to go. After she called and broke up with me I think she realized what she had done and then broke into tears and said, "Why are we doing this?" we...? WE??? You called me! I was chillin at home! She later admitted (in an attempt to apologize and get me back) that she was just mad and called to pick a fight. Which means she broke up with me to hurt me.. And then asked why WE were doing "this"... About two weeks later after I had had time to decide whether to get back together and I said no, she verbally attacked me where she knew I was most vulnerable.. I did not return in kind... I am still recovering from that...

This was an adult relationship of 9 months. I was 26 at the time and she was 20. I will never date anyone under 21 ever again.

Lol :b I have ADHD and take medication for it because without it I become even more scattered and depressed. Most people that have bipolar have a very high risk of having ADHD but not the other way around. So in this scenario I can identify to an extent with people who struggle with depression. I think a large part of that is how that person has dealt with their condition. My father has ADHD and is clinically depressed but never ever would he manipulate someone or demean them in any way. He is one of the kindest people I know. So I would say it greatly depends on how the person has worked on themselves and how well they have trained to deal with their disorder. Also understanding that not everyone who is clinically depressed suffers from Bipolar disorder (which is statistically quite rare). But it is good that you know yourself well enough to understand that those are some things that you do not want or can not handle in a relationship and there is nothing at all wrong with that. And upon reflecting on what you said, my mother who is in her 50’s exhibits many of the same behaviors as my ex and is very manipulative so I stand corrected on the age side of things. Although I still do prefer my romantic interest be over 21 for experience sake.

Read a book about NPD personalities (any psychiatric book, you can even get the DSM IV or V). Most of the comment will say "the level of entitlement" which is true but extremely basic thinking. You will understand that the problem is deep-rooted into childhood and the lack of love and concern from the parents (or single parent). The entitlement, like everyone says, is coming as a filler to this, what psychiatrists call, narcissistic void. It's like a water well that you can't fill since it hasn't been filed since their childhood. They want to fill it, act entitled, etc but it's the end you can't fill the ocean with a bucket. That's why it is EXTREMELY important for a child to be raised by loving parents. With the epidemic of single parents raising (and single moms since 99% of the time they get the child to stay with them) you are raising a full generation of psycho (cluster B personalities).

Since it is dysfunction at the brain-level, well the surviving instinct here is just to think about herself. They are using this "turtle shield" to survive. There is no more logical thinking it's just about surviving. You can't use logic to try to understand like a normal human being and this is what most of people fail to understand. You can't change a person like that (at least from the psychiatrist they are not able).

Now to be more specific on her personality she is mostly a covert narcissist = NPD + BDP + Sadistic. So we are at the completely psycho level. Their most impressive feature: being able to appear as completely normal in a society. In french, psychiatrists call this "white craziness": meaning their are complete psychos but they appear like normal human being.

In short = run far away and don't even think about CHANGING THEM. You will find yourself in a psychiatric hospital or worse in a coffin.

To be more specific, in today's world and with the rise of what I would call "narcissistic amplifier factories" called social media, we are entering the impossible to fix narcissist. Now for a pure NPD person, he is able to change, at least they do understand their issues. It's almost impossible for them to change (and feel empathy) but they are aware they are extremely toxic.

One important point that is very shallow and repeated again and again on social media and even redpill/mgtow stuff is that the women become narcissistic BECAUSE of the social media tools like insta/snap etc. This is completely wrong. You don't become a narcissist at 20yo or even 15. Your childhood till I would say 15, is, in fact, determining this trait. The right sentence is that those tools simply amplify those traits and let them completely loose and get the benedictions of the media and governments.

Not really. It's true for most things in life. If you were privileged enough to ignore certain problems, but now society/your life is changing and you can no longer ignore those problems, it can feel like the world is "attacking" you when in reality you are now having to be aware and deal with problems you never had to before.

Let's take a look at a social privilege without some people getting all fragile and freaked out about it: Wealth privilege.

If you always had your finances taken care of by an accounting firm, then you lose money and now you can't afford the accounting firm anymore so you have to do it yourself. Then the billing department treats you like everybody else: Annoyed with you and unwilling to really give you any help or guidance to pay your bill. You would think to yourself "How dare they do this! I am being attacked by this person for just trying to pay the bill!" when most of us are like "Yeah, you need to dedicate at least an hour to deal with these people because they are unhelpful"

Now, obviously this sub is gonna trend very anti-female for situations where it is not warranted. Amber Heard though? Destroy her. Male or female, an abuser is an abuser and will manipulate whatever systems they can that helps them maintain their power. Rich A-holes use the Court system to outspend less wealthier litigants to take a settlement that is favorable to them and screws the person with little to no money to fight back.

And SOME (keyword) attractive women use their looks and temptation to manipulate men to do what they want them to do. HOWEVER, there are SOME men that use their looks and strength to manipulate the women in their life to do what they want to do. Abusers know no gender, sexual orientation, or race. They are always around in all groups.

Just wanted to add something, since you brought up child actors.

I used to work crew on independent films. On one there were three girls (I don't believe their gender was a factor), aged around 12, who were the actors for the main characters. On film sets there's a lot of downtime for actors while the lighting, camera, etc. are adjusted between shots. But you still want to work as fast as possible, so the actors need to be on hand as soon as the crew is ready to shoot again. This means production assistants will be tasked with providing the actors whatever they want so that the actors themselves are always available, and not off getting a snack, or whatever.

As a child, having someone do basically any reasonable request you make, can be a trip, I'm sure. These three girls went from normal kids to absolute rude, spoiled shits in about twenty days.

This is so true. Lots of girls make it to adulthood getting there way 99% of the time and don't realize that in the real world there are very little handouts. Most people are smart enough to realize how good they had it and deal with adversity head on. But some people get way too entitled and lose the ability to be truly self aware and start to actually believe they are right all the time about everything. Happens with boys too(think Cartman) but it's more rare. because it doesn't seem as powerful seeing a boy cry and throw a tantrum that how a dad feels seeing his daughter crying. I would go as far as to say one important aspect of good parenting is busting your kids balls every once in a while to thicken their skin. And not letting them get away with stuff by arguing with you about it. My mom would smack me as a kid if I argued with her when she made me come inside for dinner or so m homework or whatever. But my older sister would just freak out and usually got away with whatever she'd done. Because my parents didn't have the energy to argue all day with her and they weren't actually gonna punish her. She still cries if you confront her for doing something wrong instead of thinking about why it's pissing people off. She actually got in a massive argument and blasted some old people on social media for asking her to get her kids under control while they were trying to eat lunch at a restaurant. like come-on sis you shouldnt be calling old people names because your kids were being annoying. Tell em to chill out and sit down at the table like a good parent lol.

I disagree on the argument part. Arguments should be had with a kid. Not yelling, not beating, but discussions. Example. "You want to stay outside and not eat with us? Do you know why we eat together at this time?" Discussing this with them, telling them about it in a rational manner, and showing by example teaches a child critical thinking and doesn't screw them in the future where they need to be argumentative. Sadly, I was in a very similar boat to you until late in my life, but I was and am thick headed, and no yelling or physical pain will stop me from throwing hypocrisy or lies in someone's face.

Just like every single race on the planet, not all members, of it all think and vote the same way. To think so is racism, whether it be towards blacks, whites, reds, or yellows.

I know dude. I live in Chicago. I've experienced my share of that hidden Northern racism. It stings. Itd be nice if everyone would just stop racism and realized that all races have an equal amount of dumbasses and heros and everything inbetween.

I wouldn't say racist whites are honest though. Most of them make excuses for their actions. A lot of politicians push racist rhetoric or policies and hide behind some other facade like voter fraud or something. Look at how people treated Obama. The whole birth certificate thing was really racist, yet none of them owned that racism. Most racist people are too bitch made to actually own their racism. Obviously there are those who own it, but I woipdmt say that's the majority.

White priveledge from how I understand is a subset of class priveledge. The problem in America is that most of the wealthy just happen to be white and they perpuate the idea of racism to the lower classes. So in turn this actual class priveledge also ends up helping out whites in the lower classes.

But some examples are:

less cops patrolling white neighborhoods.

Less white kids getting arrested for minor drug offenses even though they do drugs at the same rate.

When they do get arrested whites tend to get lighter sentencing.

We don't even have to get into the issue with shooting.

Running for president. Look at the difference between what trump gets a pass on vs Obama.

Voting is a huge example of white priveledge. I learned this first hand. I grew up in a poor minority area. I live in a wealthy white area now. And the night and day difference between how easy it is for me to vote now vs what the people in my parents neighborhood experience is ridiculous and unacceptable.

There's plenty more, but the point is that the issues really come from class inequality, but white people as a whole just happen to be the primary benefactors in America.

And no, minorities aren’t special in the fact that they deal with “unique societal pressures”. It’s a “unique societal pressure” for whites that people blame them for their ancestors’ faults, saying they’re automatically racist just because they share the same race as the ones who enslaved blacks. I’m not discounting the horrific acts done by slave owners, but black people had black slaves as well. It’s just sin nature, not one race. We can’t say just because there’s more of whites in the USA that all their oppression should be discounted, and that if you’re a minority then you automatically get more rights than whites. If we’re going to end racism here, we need to stop blaming and shaming and hating on the white people, because that’s racist. I’ve heard so many people say, “I’m black so I can’t be racist” after insulting and slurring white people. I’m sorry, any race can be racist, and whites don’t deserve to get this treatment.

To be clear, a diagnosis is not necessarily an excuse, but when you see Next Level crazy like this it’s worth remembering that most people just don’t have the energy to go there. You gotta have a seriously distorted mind to go this far out of line. Most people just don’t want to live in that space.

This is why so many people get fucked by people with BPD. Their behavior is initially confusing (‘maybe I really am the wrong one here?’), the sex is amazing, and the drama provides a kind of stimulation and novelty, but only for a while. Then comes the horror of realizing that escape is not going to be either easy or assured.

Once you get a whiff of that special kind of crazy, the only move is to retreat immediately and assertively before the insane attachment takes hold. Depp’s mistake was probably the result of his his inherent kindness and desire to be helpful to an obviously damaged but incredibly sexy woman.

There were accusations Depp was physically abusing Heard accompanied by “evidence” such as photos of bruises and texts that she sent to a friend to document the abuse.

The dude almost lost his career. If he hadn’t been almost top of the A-list, he very well might have.

Something like over a year later word started coming out that it wasn’t what it seemed, that SHE was abusing him.

Eventually stronger evidence came out to support that fact. I remember one picture of Depp’s fingertip almost stripped to the bone of flesh because his then wife threw a glass at him that shattered and cut his finger. He had to go to the hospital.

Her bruises and texts now appear to have been faked, which is a crime. Somewhere in the middle of this they were suing each other back and forth over damages and whatnot.

So, from being the criminal aggressor in this case, it appears that the roles may have been totally reversed.

I personally don’t even care for Depp at all, but it looks like justice may be served and I’m okay with that.

Unfortunately the author of that article is an idiot. The fact that court rejects a motion to dismiss does not mean "the judged will most likely rule in the plaintiff's favour".

A motion to dismiss is asking the court to kick out the case without hearing it because of a technicality, such as the statute of limitations expiring, or improper venue, or lack of subject matter jurisdiction, etc. The fact that the court has rejected the motion to dismiss simply means that the case is valid and the evidence will be considered. It has no baring on whether the evidence is enough to prove guilt.

There are a few conditions that have to be passed for a statement to be considered defamation. The main parts are that it must be a statement of fact rather than an opinion, it must be untrue, and it must cause actual damages.

For the purposes of avoiding malicious prosecution, a court can dismiss a defamation case if the evidence presented by the plaintiff clearly doesn't meet the criteria for defamation. For example if Johnny sued Amber over a Twitter message saying "I think Johnny is a bad guy, I've felt mistreated for too long, I hope he never works again" then it could have been dismissed because that's clearly just her opinion and not a statement of fact. Not dismissing is a long way short of finding someone guilty, the plaintiff still has to prove that statements of fact were made that are both untrue and damaging.

I think Johnny has a good case, but the case hasn't been heard yet and the failure to dismiss simply means that things are valid up to this point.

Damages may be presumed in defamation per se when a statement is seen as inherently causing actual damages by the nature of the statement. If the statement is innocuous, it is not defamatory because it doesn't cause damage. It must also not be proven true, and proven to be a statement of fact and not opinion.

Public figures don't get presumed damages just because a statement is malicious. I can maliciously say something about a public figure that is opinion, truth, or is deemed too innocuous to be defamation per se.

The "actual malice" is an extra hurdle that the plaintiff must overcome to be able to sue for defamation if they are a public figure - it is a protection given to the public to be able to talk freely about public figures without getting sued. Proving actual malice does not automatically mean that damages can be presumed.

The second part is all wrong. This isn't really a win for Depp, it's just not a loss. It doesn't predict the future of his case at all.

A motion to dismiss based on the allegations in the complaint (aka demurrer) in no way "means that Johnny Depp has sufficient evidence against Amber Heard." A motion to dismiss only tests the sufficiency of the allegations in the complaint. The test to defeat a motion to dismiss is "if everything in the complaint is true, could the plaintiff win at trial?" Evidence isn't looked at, only the allegations.

No evidence is presented at a motion to dismiss because the court starts and ends with the assumption that all facts alleged by the plaintiff are true (for the purposes of deciding this motion at the outset of the case). It is nearly impossible to lose to a motion to dismiss because any attorney with half a brain can write a complaint that alleges facts that if proven true at trial could let a plaintiff win at trial. How can you screw that up?

So winning this motion absolutely does not mean "Depp has sufficient evidence," because no evidence was submitted. It is also absolutely untrue that "the judges will most likely rule in his favor." First of all, "judges"? There's only one judge at an American trial. Second, a judge is not going to rule in Depp's favor. The case will almost certainly be tried by a jury. At a jury trial, judges act like referees. Juries decide in who's "favour" to rule. Third, 99% of all motions to dismiss (demurrers) are defeated. Defeating a motion to dismiss has no bearing at how the case will end up at trial. It simply means the case is not DOA at the outset.

The author misstates the effect of Depp's success. Based on the author's spelling of the word "favour," and his/her assumption that the case will be heard by "judges," not a jury*, I assume the author is English, not American. The author knows as much about American law as I know about English law.

Depp's success is like beating the first level boss in a video game. You're supposed to win. Does that mean you'll beat the Big Boss eight levels later? No. It really has no bearing.

I'm not hacking on Depp. I've looked at the evidence and Depp has a good case. F@!% Heard for lying about being abused. But this post is useless.

Yeah but a major reason for that is because of inherently toxic double standards that have been put in place by patriarchal ideals. Specifically the ideas and gender expectations that women are more weak, timid, and innocent, and men are stronger, more aggressive, and more powerful.

Juries are gonna be more likely to go easy on people accused of violent crimes who seem weaker and more, well, innocent. And they’re gonna be harsher on people who seem more aggressive and brutish. And while they might not outright think that women are weak and men are brutish, they have unconscious biases that have grown through years of reinforcement of these principles—whether it be through movies, tv shows, video games, or just how their parents acted. These biases can most definitely have a role on the jury’s decision making, whether they like it or not.

Fem here. Hate her. Hate her for what she did, for every fem who used what got me to report my actual abusers/break free as a means for power.

We need female abusers to get destroyed. Women are capable of extreme pain and suffering and to believe otherwise is, well, sexist. I hate seeing so many men laughed out of court/police spaces for abuse. Abusers love to scream abuse as a shield, it's such a nasty and effective tactic.

I know a lot of our loud voices are sick and don't say it, but there are small inner groups of fems who want to beat the shit out of every abuser no matter what sits between their legs.

What kind of bullsh*t is this? The denial of a motion to dismiss is NOT an indication the other party is likely to win the lawsuit. There is zero correlation between the two. The standard for a motion to dismiss is as follows:

"Judge, even if we assume every fact alleged by my adversary is true, his lawsuit still must fail as a matter of law."

That is a standard way to try to challenge the viability of the legal theory presented by an adversary. It is a very high bar and trial judges are very hesitant to grant such motions because, by definition, denying such a motion cannot be reversed on appeal - but granting the motion can be appealed.

So, not only is this just some meme, but it is DEAD WRONG in its assertions regarding the significance of its claims. As an aside, I know nothing about these two people, nor do I care to ... I am just a trial attorney with 40 years of experience commenting upon the inaccuracy of this post.
