It's only in this current generation that we are seeing N count gap really being an issue. In the past, men and women would both go out to parties. There would be more promiscuous women and more promiscuous men, and there would be less promiscuous women and less successful (so therefore less promiscuous) men. The high N women and high N men would eventually match up in LTRs and the low N women and low N men would eventually match up. A high N woman's promiscuous past wouldn't bother high N men, because it was likely that his N was even higher, and he was confident that was probably, if not the best, then one of the better partners that she ever had.

The current problem is that too many young men are not having sexual adventures. This is for two reasons. One is the greater number of distractions that exist now in the form of immersive video games and easily accessible online pornography. Second, the advent of dating apps means that average women can now meet high value men at their leisure, and are not limited to hooking up with average men at parties in the past like they used to, as the high-value men were too busy hooking up with higher value women, themselves.

The result is an N-count mismatch between men and women. Most high N guys really still don't care if women have an extensive sexual history as long as it's not more extensive than their own, despite what online manosphere guys claim. These guys are not speaking to successful, high N men. They are catering to their audience and speaking to the low N guys or incels who aren't having sex and telling them what they want to hear, which is to not trust high N women.

Getting married young probably isn't the solution, because it is necessary to save a lot to buy a house and to start a family, and people don't really know what they want out of a partner until they start to get older.

The best solution is for average women to realize that casual sex does not really benefit them and to stop "gambling" by having sex with high value men who will treat them poorly by not giving them orgasms and then ghosting them or plating them and using them only for sex. And, when getting into relationships, women should be making men wait for sex until they know that said men have feelings for them and will treat them well. Even feminist writers are beginning to tell women how casual sex only leads to men treating women worse, although they will not outright condemn casual sex due to not wanting to criticize women's sexual choices. But there really isn't a solution to the conundrum of casual sex, because most feminists don't acknowledge hypergamy and realize that average women who do choose to have casual sex will more often than not pursue men out of their league, and that mistreatment will therefore always be a component of casual sex as these men know that they have more and better options.

Once women stop choosing casual sex, they will have the choice to choose men who are in their actual league for loving relationships, or, if no men like this are available because these men have not improved themselves sufficiently, to reject these men and to stay single and seek fulfillment by hanging out with friends. It's up to men at this point to improve themselves enough to become attractive to women and to stop being man children devoted only to video games and porn. These men say that they turn to these things only because they are being rejected by women in their league, and it's only when women stop choosing casual sex that we can find out if this is actually true.

In short, we don't need to return to early marriage to solve the SMP and early marriage isn't really a viable option in the expensive western world. Average women just need to choose not to have casual sex with men out of their league, and then give men in their actual league a chance to become attractive enough that these women then choose to have a LTR with them.

Problem is that human history involved a good percentage of males being dead at any given point due to war. That’s why biologically, men were able to have their cake and eat it too if they did not die in war. It is completely new thing to have a society where there is a 50/50 split between men and women.

But alas, I think part of the seeming hypocrisy is that there is no alpha widow equivalent phenomenon for men. Promiscuous men can settle down and having a prolific sexual history has less of an effect on them than in does fur women. If you’re not a woman’s best, she will end up resenting you.

The reason men don’t marry young anymore is 1) because modern women’s standards are insane and 2) men are finally realizing they have very little to gain in legal marriage. Half of all marriages end in divorce and almost 80% of those are initiated by women. Women have all the legal leverage and can take your children and your money. As for the first reason mentioned, most young men don’t have the status or finances that women are looking for nowadays. You should check out Kevin Samuels, you’ll see him interview a bunch of average women who think they somehow deserve a high value , six figure man. No. Marying young leads to a lack of personal growth. Having less life experience, independence, and self-sufficiency due to being able to shoulder that will lead to worse marriages even if it means less of them. You grow more on your own than with an emotional support blanket. Sometimes you get emotionally scarred, but most of the time you will always get stronger and better for it. It’s always a risk, and people tend to shy away but how else do you learn other than the adventure experience and putting yourself out there to get hurt.

Number wise, who cares I don’t even know why we make this a thing. Women who have a severe lack of experience in that area tend to scare me off. Issues presented from it and what has been learned is much more significant than a number itself, so why bother. Personally When people stick around I just assume I’m the best. Am I though, probably not but why does it deserve that much thought.

Young marriage actually working out requires an entire societal and cultural structure in place to support it… lots of family-friendly relatives nearby to help the couple when they need support and give counsel and exert influence. Maybe community and church to perform to the same function at a more generalized level. No glorification of sex, no consumerist/individualist culture thats all about jumping on the next shiny new thing to fill the spiritual void. Men do generally have a strong sex drive, and don't need an emotional bond for sexual intercourse. That's most men, not all. Most women, not all, want an emotional bond in order to have sex.

The only issue with marrying young is that a man in his early 20's is only beginning his career and won't have the financial resources to support a stay-at-home wife. If she gets pregnant and isn't wild about going right back to work after giving birth, as most women aren't, this puts an awful lot of strain on the man and therefore the marriage. It's not always financially feasible when the numbers just don't add up. A man a bit older and more established has the resources to provide a young woman - and he's attracted to youth and femininity until he's six feet under - with the circumstances she will find more ideal. Trouble is, many young women don't realise it until they're past the age where men of such means will find them desireable.

But you are discounting so many cultural forces that often make marrying young a very bad idea in reality. We can't just encourage young marriage and change nothing else, one would need to make significant cultural changes for this to work out.

Also, on a purely sexual basis, enforced early monogamy basically benefits average and low value males at the expense of high value men and most women. Most women want to maximize their chances to find a high value man. Since, for average women, this often means that they need to sleep with a lot of high value men in the hopes that idiosyncratic compatibility will make one choose them even if on a more objective level she doesn't measure up to his other options. This lottery dynamic of sorts is what is often derisively called the 'cock carousel'. Even if these women, as will be the case for most of them, do not land a HVM and have to settle later on for something not as sexually attractive, most of them seem to prefer at least having had a chance to experience hot sex during their peak sexual years and then settle to the idea of settling early and never having hot sex.

So you'd have to make a strong argument for why your system would better meet their overall interests. The average woman does not find the average man attractive at all. And in an increasingly sexualized society, both genders increasingly prioritize erotic satisfaction over other considerations. So if you want women to sacrifice the erotic for something else, you will have a hard time convincing them. Just as you would men.

IMHO no one should get married until they're working with a fully formed human brain and that doesn't happen until around 25 for women and 26/27 for men. This is why 88% of marriages involving people under 25 end in divorce (unless you're also advocating for outlawing divorce, in which case many people just wouldn't get married at all). Also worth noting that in the 1950's one worker with a high school diploma could support a family and that's just not the case anymore. People aren't even finished with education until into their early 20's and generally can't even afford to pay half of what it costs to have a family until they're closer to their 30's. Whether they also choose to spend their singlehood time having casual sex is a different question entirely. Marriage is about A LOT more than just sex.

At a younger age, they lack the maturity to make the best decisions. Women mature faster so a man in his early to late 30s marrying a girl in her mid 20s to early 30s makes the most sense, since the only reason a man should be entering into marriage is if he wants to have kids.

Also, no man should be getting married unless he wants kids. Marriage, as a legal contract, is an extraordinarily bad decision for men.

On the flip side, if you’re going to have kids, getting married is a good idea as long as both people are willing to put in the work to maintain the relationship.

Now people need university educations to be able to afford the basics required to raise kids.

I can tell from experience that women been virgins don´t change a thing. We still live in this world and people receive the same experiences.

I will tell my son how the markets work, how women and men work, and what he can or can´t expect. I will not discourage him to have a LTR or casual sex... I will make sure that he is far away from Disney and Blackpill.

But I will give him an advice, that IF HE CHOOSES an LTR being young, it´s better for him to find a woman of the same social class, with the same goals and same energy for moving forward. (that is possible, I know some couples that knew each other since high school and things worked out because they have equilibrium all over the place.)

Marrying young is a terrible idea for everyone. Your frontal lobe isn’t even fully developed until your mid-20s and for men it can even be late 20s. It is responsible for higher-level executive functioning - basically it controls good decision making and the ability to plan towards longer term goals. That isn’t to say younger people can’t plan or make good decisions, just the vast majority can’t. It’s why the highest rates of car crashes involve young men particularly.

It’s anecdotal, but most of the people I know who married young were divorced and remarried by 30, divorced again by 35 and are now in LTRs that don’t even live together, because they’ve both got kids from two different marriages.

Your early 20s are a time to invest in yourself, you career and friendships, hobbies, travel and put together a solid financial plan. Sure, date and have relationships, but commitment too early often leads to feeling like you missed out on your 20s when you’re in your 30s with teenagers and that’s when people start looking around for something else. There are a few couples I went to school with who married in their early 20s and are still together 15-20 years later, but they are the exception, and the one thing they all have in common is they stayed in our small town and never travelled or did anything much with their lives. Most of them are desperately unhappy, but unwilling to leave because they would loose too much material wealth, maybe also they’re scared they won’t find someone else, especially in a small town, and they’re too afraid to leave.

To be clear, this is not about how many sexual partners you have or don’t have, this is about committing to one person when you’re barely out of school.

This double standard is perpetuated both by men envious of how much easier women have it with sexual attention, and by women who largely (and often by personal admission) desire men who have more experience than themselves and loathe the idea of having to teach an inexperienced man about sex and intimacy.

So it's both a prejudice instigated by men and a male reaction to a prejudice instigated by women.

Practically, no. I do agree with you that it seems to be a fair deal. I think there's merit to men adhering to the same abstinence they expect from women. It happens. I just don't think it's practical to expect anyone to have found their 'soulmate' by the age of 20. It happens! But many of us have to meet, and meet, and meet, before we know we're with the right person. And that can take years. I think it's wiser to not put a constraint on the appropriate age to marry. Because if we did have that constraint, a lot of people would be rushing and living poor lives. I appreciate my freedom to think about decisions before making them.

I don't think the 50s were very celibate or if they were, my family was doing it wrong! Out of 7 kids, my mom and her oldest sister were the only ones who didn't "have to get married" (and that's probably because they spent most of their teen years taking care of younger siblings while their mother worked to support the family).

The biggest difference was that if the girl in a courting couple got pregnant, the boy usually married her. If he bailed, she either had a back-alley abortion or put the baby up for adoption. Very few single moms kept and raised their children, because before government benefits programs, it wasn't financially feasible to do so.

I think a lot of your notions are purely subjective and quite flawfully so, while that may just be an error in articulation, you can't really expect another person to think they same way you do. I could accept that men act in the way prescribed to some extent and in some places, but I do take issue with the gross over generalizations made by a lack of specifications. For instance, these attitudes your talking about don't fit with the majority of particular groups of men, liberal minded people generally appeal to sexual freedom and Christian, conservative people uphold the notions of monogamy. But more importantly and to answer a question further down, there's men that absolutely do not want monogamous chastised women because they are typically low life fuck boi degenerates. That group is quite massive by the way, that's like every uneducated person that just acts compulsively and to their whims. So the notion that society demands this is wrong in my opinion, instead society is a misnomer for a select group of men belonging to select diatribes of political of social philosophy and those poorly represent both men and society at large.

But assuming we've allocated the right type of men for this kind of issue, I don't think it's anything but obvious. Men (dumb men) simply see benefit to withholding or limiting female sexual social power while not wanting to be burdened by those same rules themselves. The basic reasoning of any hypocrite. There's a myriad of facets to their reasoning, they may be overly insecure and stupid at the same time, they may be controlling, maybe their just dogmatic and preaching their indoctrination. Either way, I feel it's safe to assume that the deeper cause of these types of reasoning is that they're just plain dumb. Very rarely does anyone study self awareness and have any clue to what it actually means, most people live in a perpetual state of cognitive dissonance where they fail to self persecute their own rational and motives and so never necessitate a reaction for honesty (because lying is almost inconsequential) and get caught in their own BS. They don't percieve they're bad logic skills, they don't percieve their hypocrisy, they don't oercueve the underlying motives of their own actions, they're just plain old dumb. Durrr durrr durrr I want double standard please. Obviously it's stupid.

But there's other groups too, like there's the over arching assumption that stupid females that ride the cock carousel can't keep themselves from cheating. In that group you'll have varying people of different levels of intelligence and comprehension. Some of them think in terms of absolutes like after 10 cocks she's whoring herself downtown, others treat it like a slippery slope but in anycase the argument has merit imo aside from its advocates and proponents. Generally, not being a whore is a good thing, but you're not just a whore because you have a sexuality, it's usually because you have a sexuality but no brain that goes along with it.

There's RP narratives, manosphere narratives, Christian, rightwing that all kinda meet tangentially on thus issue but nonetheless have different attitudes and beliefs. Only looking at the average person and not the exceptional types like myself, it's safe to assume a lot of its tribal dogma, so people fell into a type of religious belief and go out to enforce their beliefs externally, there's people that acclimate their lifestyles to be best compatible with mutually chaste lifestyles, sometimes people just have personal presences and that's it. It doesn't do much good in asking what men want when you fail to realise that all men are different to some degree, even when they share overlapping similarities. So it seems almost rhetorical to ask the question, you're either asking what do certain types of men want or you're making a statement of what they want. The closest uniform agreeance all men want is not infested with disease and generally safe to be in proximity to.
