When a guy's sex drive drops, then women don't look as attractive. Most of men thinking that women are so attractive is because of their high sex drives. I would not be surprised if the high sex drive heterosexual women find men to be more attractive than low sex drive heterosexual women. I agree and I'm a straight woman. I see a lot of women who make me envious. As in, wow, she is absolutely stunning, I wish I looked more like her. But when it comes to guys they are mostly average to me unless I develop a crush on them. Once I catch feelings, he becomes the hottest guy ever (even 5"6 with a dadbod, it's happened) and no one else can compare. The odd time I do see a drop dead gorgeous man, I assume they are out of my league and/or players, which kind of cancels out a strong attraction to them.

When I go out, I come across with lots of average men and unsurprisingly they're very attractive, but there's a difference and is achievable.

Many average men would improve their attractiveness by choosing better clothes, better haircuts, and better skin care.

Most choose not to because, luckily for them, beauty and attractiveness are not a major requirement when it comes to dating.

There is no amount of makeup capable of turning an average woman into Miss Universe.

Average people tend to believe they are above average.

Think about how the captain of the football team, rockstar, business man is attractive because of respect. A lot of the aforementioned are actually below average males that were motivated to gain respect through their skill for women.

Movie stars and models are the most attractive because of the respect and necessary beauty to be successful.

All I’m saying is there are a lot of beautiful homeless men. You will rarely see an average homeless woman.

Woman are valued by sex appeal. Men by social status.

So you have to know who a man is and if you don’t know who he is you assume he is nobody and that alone makes him meh.

Bisexual woman here. Women catch my eye more often than men, but I'd consider my attraction between men and women to be pretty well split down the center.

The only thing I can think of is that, on average, women tend to put more effort into their appearance and also express themselves more with their presentation. Plus, women's clothes have a lot more options and allow them more range of expression. Since my sexual attraction is heavily dependent on personality/character, I get a much better sense of who someone is if they're a woman because they have more options to show me who they are.

I think throughout a lot of human history and still seen around the world today women were made by social norms and social stigmas to cover up their bodies and show no one but their husbands. So in most cultures women not being allowed to show themselves created a natural rarity to the female form. While men have not had any of these constrictions.

So since women’s forms have been hidden it created a wanting to see them. So that’s why women and their anatomy hold a lot more value than men. I think with modernity this will even out if things keep getting progressive.

No, its simply hormones and sex drive. Men and women statistically can not have variations in uglyness because they are half of the population, have the same genes than brothers, and what makes people look good is genetics and developmental defects that are identical for both genders.

Hormonal influences just make you more sensitive to stimuli that trigger sex drive, so much so that they can cause you to view people completely differently and perceive their actions completely differently.

I used to take steroids and while I was on a certain compound, some Women who I perceived as neutral became attractive, and attractive became more attractive, so much so that I couldn’t fully control my actions, and couldnt think about anything other then sex and got triggered by almost anything, and could think about anything other then sex while I was in public. when I went off, my testosterone crashed and even the most attractive women would still look good but just wouldn’t trigger sexual thoughts and urges just by seeing them. I still perceived them as good looking and likable because of it, but the sexual response wasnt triggering and I was mostly indifferent from seeing them.

additionally I frequently hear that women who take the same stuff also get temporarily unnaturally horny to average male like levels and beyond.

Women are bad at judging other women's overall physical attractiveness and men are bad at judging other men's overall physical attractiveness. For example, as a man I can tell if a guy is tall or has a good physique or has a nice jaw, but I can't accurately assess how handsome he is. I've seen women gush over certain guys and I was like "wait what?" and guys I thought were attractive they thought were average. And I've also seen women gush over certain women saying how pretty they were and I was like "she's average at best lmao".

Anyway, I don't think the average woman is more attractive than the average man. And even if she was, it wouldn't matter. Women compete with other women. Men compete with other men. If every woman gets a bit prettier, the new average is still average.

I think feminine beauty is perhaps more like a force of nature compared to the utilitarian build of men. Men are keenly aware of beautiful women because of evolutionary pressure to procreate and women are keenly aware of beautiful women because they are the competition for procreation. The reason I don't think men look at other men in the same way as far as competition goes is because I don't believe we were in monogamous in the early days of man and that women were probably inseminated by multiple men and the true father was never really known.

This is the biggest DUH in the world. Women on average are much more physically attractive than men. Better face (with make-up for enhancement) and way better bodies. It's just how GOD made them. And this isn't even referring to women who go the gym and really take care of themselves. I'm talking about women who simply exist - as in adhere to no proper diet or ever workout - yet still easily rate over a 6 on a scale of 10. Men have no such luxury. If they don't bust ass on their appearance, they're going to be completely invisible.

Now I know someone's going to say women-only-seem-more-attractive-because-men-are-so-horny. Men indeed ARE way hornier than women, but here's the thing, women themselves find other women much more aesthetically pleasing to look at than they find men. Just walk into a store or mall with a lady friend/partner one day and tell her to point out people she considers attractive. Heck, you can even do this at your workplace. I guarantee you, 90% of the people she'll pick will be females. Purely on a physical level, women are flat out better looking than men to both genders. And why wouldn't they be. Men don't have the socially-accepted benefit of make-up to enhance their facial features and there's literally nothing desirable about their body unless it's been honed and sculpted in the gym.
