It sure as hell seems this way from experience - I’ve had several dates where women tell me they didn’t feel a spark or flat out ghost me and when I’ve expressed my surprise they elaborated that they didn’t think I was that interested…even though we spent all night talking and I guessed before we parted ways…

My neighbour then tells me that for the longest time through to her mid 20s she assumed that if a guy didn’t try to fuck her on a date that he wasn’t very interested and must have found her ugly or somehow off putting.

And on dating apps women are quick to unmatch me if I don’t get round to replying within a few hours

Am I misreading the situation or are a lot of women - even those in their late 20s - still conditioned into believing that if a guy isn’t fawning over her then he mustn’t really be interested?

And as a guy who’s not that effusive with my affection how should I prove that I really am into a lady on a date besides just telling her and showing her by the way I seem genuinely interested in getting to know her and hoping that’s enough to get the point across ?

Edit maybe I’ve poorly conveyed my situation because people seem to be or the idea that I’m sitting there like some prude too afraid to touch them or flirt - that’s not true but also that’s not enough just to flirt and touch with some women, I need to be trying to jump their bones on the date or they assume I’m not interested in it
