I shared this story a while ago but it encapsulated it for me when it happened.

I work in a gym, and I was speaking to a female member when another member walked past. He was muscular, significantly so, but slightly short (5’8ish) and not handsome. She offhandedly said “It looks like he’s wearing somebody else’s body.”

It didn’t register with her as average guy now looks hot because muscle. It was just a normal guy she didn’t find attractive with this almost funny looking add on, like a costume.

From what I’ve observed in recent years, height and face and tattoos and beard are the key things. Face not even so much anymore. The most standard type of guy who seems to get attractive women are tall, tattooed and beard. It almost doesn’t matter what his face looks like as he’s ticked the other boxes of “tall tattooed manly” boyfriend.

I think muscularity looks good on a good looking guy. But it’s become very common, if not in real life then on social media women are seeing six packs constantly. It’s almost standard.

And other girls aren’t impressed with each others jacked boyfriends. Anyones boyfriend can become jacked. They can’t all become tall with a rectangular head and great teeth.

Muscles have become dated and women are selecting for truly rare and valuable genetic traits.
