In the aggregate male sex drive is higher and the vast body of research on human sexuality from the last 60 years supports it. The pushback is from women who say “well my sex drive is higher than my SOs.” That doesn’t mean it isn’t true in the aggregate. It’s also not an attempt to control or shame women’s sexuality. It just is what it is.

Men have a higher sex drive than women. I think it’s because duh - testosterone/ hard penises they can’t control - but also because they find so many more women attractive. Women do not find the average man attractive.

But I do think men and women’s level lust is equal when it comes down to it. The only difference is it takes soooo much more for a woman to be sexually aroused by a man.

Females claiming their sex drive is a high as males is just another consequences of this modern day feminist propaganda. They think they are equal to men and they think they can do everything a man does. They don't have the testosterone levels that men do, and that is the primary factor of the sex drive.

Do not listen to a women's words. Instead look at their actions. If they were as horny as men, they'd be fucking all day long. Male and female sex drives are heavily overlapping bell curves. There's a massive level of variation within each gender. "Men are hornier than women" is such an overly simplistic statement that it comes very close to being a lie. There are lots of low sex drive men and high sex drive women out there, far too many to handwave away as "outliers."

Societal pressures also make a huge difference in how people go about sex/relate to their own sexualities. Boiling the conversation down to pure biology is impossible, and also stupid. This isn't to say that there are no biological factors -- biology very much plays a part! -- but pretending socialization isn't a big part is short-sighted.

I’ve also gone 2.5 years without sex because there wasn’t any man that I wanted to have sex with at the time. Male sexuality is much more impulsive, immediate, and violent. It’s also very hot and cold, with loss of arousal that can be almost immediate after orgasm.

With women, it’s not that they aren’t as horny. They may require more emotional and/or intellectual/mental/psychological stimulation and arousal. It almost needs to be coaxed like a coal engine.

But once is starts going it can be very powerful and even overpower male sexuality. There can be entire phases where women literally sleep with strangers every other day. And when they’re really horny they can really lose all limits.

My sex drive is definitely higher than my husband's, though not problematically so. While he was hooking up with an unknown number of women, though, I was essentially celibate by choice for seven years. He's only my second partner. I think the problem with this discussion is that everyone gets caught up one how the sex drive manifests. Men have fewer issues with hooking up than women do, so they have more sex and are labeled as more sexual. I think people are just generally individuals and I'm not sure if you can claim one gender has a higher sex drive.

I think it is overall, as in males and females can get horny as easily and as frequently as each other.

The difference is in HOW they get horny and who can make them turned on. It's harder for women to find a guy they want to fuck multiple times every day, but a guy could fuck a rusty soup can laying in a back alley.

However, when they do find that person, their sex drive is at least as high or maybe even higher than their partner's (since most men have low testosterone).

Study after study has shown that women want sex less often and with fewer partners than men. Even cross cultural studies show this. Why? Because sex drive in both men and women is primarily controlled by testosterone and men have a shit ton more testosterone than women.(men are much more likely to engage in risky behavior because of testosterone than women, but you don’t see anyone arguing that this isn’t true)

A good way to look at the difference between men and women’s sex drives is to study gay men and lesbians. On average gay men have way more sex than lesbians (and straights). Gay men have anonymous sex in parks, restrooms, and public baths. There is no such comparable activity in the lesbian community.

Now straight men would be doing the exact same thing as gay men, except that the vast majority of straight women do not engage in this type of activity.

Testosterone may or may not have anything to do with it. I used T cream for a week, just because I wanted to see what it'd do. Although I did experience more energy, and didn't have any depression while taking it, nothing happened to my libido. I still wanted to fuck at a moments notice and had random sexual thoughts throughout the day, which is normal. It didn't raise or lower my sex drive at all.

I believe that for any variable, when taken any two groups, that variable will never be exactly the same for both groups.

I think generally men have higher testosterone levels than women, which is the hormone most strongly associated with sex drive. When trans people start hormone replacement therapy, they are often surprised at how big of an effect testosterone (or the lack of) plays on their mood and libido. Furthermore, there is much more variability in hormone levels of women due to the changes caused by menstruation while men are more or less consistent on a day to day basis.

I think it's pretty much even in "Healthy Young Adults" at the beginning of life, but things such Low T ,child birth, and peri menopause start taking affect . These things can take effect at different times per individual . In general though I think if both parties are still attracted to their partner then they should still have a high sex drive. Now there are those with trauma that cause mental barriers ,which is different . So I don't always think it's black n white , sometimes there is an entire grey area .

Female sex drive is aroused by the male. It requires face to face interaction, unless special cases where the woman takes preselection for granted, because the man is popular/famous.

Male sex drive is always on, and there is no need of personal interaction.
