Younger women have more power mostly because they are fertile. It can blow back so hard in their faces.

You guys are so hard on body counts and single mother's. Do you have any idea how much risk there is? We are kicked to the curb on either account and most of us want someone to love us, not just interested in our bodies. That we can get easily enough.

Also, there's a lot of women around with this power. How many guys do not dump one woman for another?

As well as guys get older they are just not as interested. You cannot control them as much with sex. They are going to play golf and ignore their trophy wife.

This is the problem with this kind of thinking. It is just not real life.

"Sexual power" equates to nothing for the grand majority of women. Unlike men, being able to have sex comes with just as many, if not more, negatives than positives for women. To add, young women are especially susceptible to manipulation and lying making this "power" virtually meaningless.

Men have 0 idea what this "power" actually looks like for women. You see someone on social media getting what they want and think most women are able to achieve that?

sexual power is not real power. It’s more like leverage and it’s very conditional . Like more like customer service interactions, it has too much interaction from the other person to have power over them, especially because to actually wheel this power the women would have to heavily appeal to the men that they are then wielding power over this is not power.

It has a higher cost than most other powers do.

for example, if she utilizes her pussy power, it is an inherent loss/waste of time and energy.

Let’s say a young woman’s power is she’s beautiful, sexy, fertile, young( which comes with a abundance of time, energy, freedom ) She can sleep with as many men as she wants.

Using the power fucks it up tremendously.

Like yes she’s young and beautiful. She can have a kid for some old man, but having a kid is at best an inherit waste of time and energy for the mother, at worst, it’s a major detriment.

if she has a kid it fucks up her looks, and her youth, instead of spending her time, youth, energy and freedom on herself. She will likely spend it on our child.

Then add the power now tethers her to the customer(man ) and age of relationship versus most other situations. If somebody has power on normal customer service interaction daily after a while are you gonna stop appealing to them. But now in an age gap relationship you’re gonna have to keep seeing this man for a while another con. Who wants to see their boss all day?

This Power also naturally declines with age, as well as women are on uninterested in the opportunity though it may be a lucrative opportunity, the work is so gross that is undesirable opportunity For the majority of women.

It’s also pretty weird to equate sexual power with financial power. If you are hot and can get laid…. you’re hot and can get laid. That’s about the only benefit that comes from it.

If you’re wealthy, well connected, a respected person in a field or community, there’s a lot more objective benefits that come with that. Financial stability, people willing to play defense for you, resources, etc etc etc

I think it's true OP, you sure made a lot of people angry though.

Attractiveness is a thing, social status and social desirability is a thing, power is a thing. In any relationship the person wanted more has more power. You have to be riddled with idealogical bias to not just intuitively grasp that an attractive woman has more power, privilege, status, influence, than a less attractive peer.

I mean just look around you, attractive people tend to be at the top of every hierarchy throughout life, and even PPDers (when not confronted with the full implications like they are in this post) never miss a chance to assert than women are just baseline more attractive than men. Usually it's framed as "it's because men suck and don't try" but they don't have a problem admitting women are more attractive. And again, in a normal convo where people aren't feeling threatened no one has a problem admitting that attractiveness and power/status are linked.

Add to this that WOMEN are usually the first to claim that women mature intellectually and emotionally faster than men as a form of self flattery. It's one of the talking points many women use as validation when they themselves seek out the same age gap relationships they also ick when it's a woman who isn't them or a way to falsely portray the man as a gross old predator when a relationship ends so the woman can attempt to save face.

Women generally want it both ways, to be seen as smarter and emotionally deeper sooner than men, but also somehow doe eyed victims being manipulated by the men those women claim are their intellectual inferiors. Nice self serving cognitive dissonance to have if you can maintain it.

Eh, 'power imbalances' is a shorthand way of describing a variety of leverages, but the most relevant ones when talking about very young women in sexual relationships with older men are probably knowledge and wisdom. The newer the recruit, the more likely he is to think the stripper loves him.

Most attractive young women are not in the social/wealth circles of the men they may desire to be with which often puts them at odds with privilege young and beautiful women who are in these circles

Instagram seems to be a work around here, but I wonder how many high earning men see them as wife material vs fling unless they have other attributes to climb the social ladder (like degrees and other signs of high intelligence)

many many girls and women are taught to never intentionally use this "power" or they will be seen as cheap, manipulative, and less valuable as a person than a woman who doesn't.

also, women who capitalize on this power - say stripping, onlyfans, etc - are seen by a huge amount of people as degenerate objects of shame. your average lady isn't signing up for all that hate directed her way.

life experience is a form of power that cannot be taken away. it's what you've learned from your time on the planet. any older partner - man or woman - is going to have a bit more power just by virtue of that.

i think that men who don't have any sense of what it's like to be seen as a sexual object, can't understand how scary, bizarre, and overwhelming it can be to be seen as a commodity to lust after instead of a person.

especially when society is telling you that a woman of value has to keep her guard up and not indulge all the sexual attention coming her way.

How does a woman being sexy negatively impact your relationship? Realistically speaking, the guy is trading resources / experiences for access to her body. So that in a way makes them “even.”

But outside of that, the partner with way more adult life experience and/or money can more easily manipulate the direction of the relationship. So it’s overall a net negative to the younger partner, especially long term.

Sexual power (attractiveness) gets you more choices of partners, because you might have a larger field to choose from. But other than that, unless you want to compromise your dignity, there’s not much power involved. Someone who is hardly attractive can have a better job, more money, travel the world, get into med school, and have many more opportunities than a woman who is only beautiful. She is in an aristocracy of beauty, but it doesn’t bring real power.
