Do you guys think there is no correlations between one’s standards and their own attractiveness, mainly applying to women but I truly believe the chance of a 5/10 and an 8/10 finding me attractive is very similar. The counter argument probably used is that the 8/10’s would get much more attention from “chad” then average women but I think old changed it to be the same for both. Basically my conclusion is that men should be like women and if she doesn’t make u go omg she’s so pretty don’t chase her. Thoughts?

There's a huge double standard when it comes to evolution; if a woman only wants to procreate with top tier men, then thats her choice to do what she wants with her body but if the rest of society refuses to help take care of her offspring, then its seen as selfish and inconsiderate? No, no thats not the way evolution works, its all or none (pair bonding OR tournament dating). Survival of the fittest means just that: survival of the fittest.

If a father has such good genes, then his offspring should have no problem with growing up in austere conditions. If not, then the father is not all that genetically superior and the mother simply made a bad choice.

Edit: AFBB is not natural nor is it survival of the fittest, if we as a society truly want to have survival of the fittest then it should be every person for themselves and there should be no society at all. AFBB is just good looking men taking advantage of society and abusing the ugly men the same way rich people take advantage of society and abuse the poor.

I personally don't really care one way or the other.

So after spending a few days here I noticed that Red Pill is much more like a religion than a science.

For example they will use the OkCupid data to proof that women have insanely high standards, despite OkCupid saying literally the opposite. And even when I directly quote OkCupid they will tell me that I'm misinterpreting it, because they literally do not care what it actually says.

They just don't care about facts at all. Like creationists they are only interested in finding proof for their absurd theories, even if it means deliberately ignoring evidence and twisting reality to fit their beliefs.

If no one has seen it, Fatherhood with Kevin Hart is a really good movie with an incredible portrayal of a single father. It’s a serious movie, not his normal slapstick comedy, but he nails it

Today I saw an absolutely beautiful girl walking around, perfect body, a face that has flaws that only makes her even more beautiful.

I then started thinking and tried to imagine being in her shoes. What if somebody like myself randomly approached her with the obvious intent of wanting to eventually have sex with her; how would she feel?

From doing some perspective thinking I realised why every woman has at least a slight fear of men (feminists obviously more neurotic than average). Being much taller than her and larger than her just that non-zero probability I'd force myself into her. The complete loss of any feeling of security/safety in this world combined with the biological reality of being stuck with a man's kid that 1) you don't like and 2) you deem has horrendous genetics is horrific. Sure it's true most sexual assaults come from somebody a woman already knows but still you never know when total anarchy could occur. Yes I know birth control and abortions exist but still the fear is from 1000s of years of evolution.

It's not just the embarrassment or insult of some unattractive guy thinking he's on her level when he obviously isn't. It's a loss of control on life, both physical and psychological. If a man gets sexually assaulted he only has the psychological to deal with (unless he gets an STD or something like that). Men just have no eggs to guard.

CMV: the wall does occur sometimes lookswise but most of the time 30s women and men look hot as well as long as they're already hot before. Albeit slightly below the young 20s -- but not really noticeably

We are so close to being done

Both of us knocked ourselves out this past week, but especially today

BF completely cleaned the garage, top to bottom - we could barely get into it earlier, and now it’s basically empty (his grandfather kept a clean garage, but there was a LOT of crap in it. And the contractors used it to keep a bunch of shit for the house too, which was not organized at all. The haphazard piles of 2x4s alone were taking up a stupid amount of space, let alone the spare crown molding and baseboards)

I washed every. Fucking. Thing. That was going into the kitchen - every countertop appliance, pot and pan, sure, but everything right down to soy sauce bowls and corn on the cob holders. Even my spice containers were bleached and sanitized. Got the kitchen completely organized and put away, lugged multiple pieces of furniture up to the attic and down to the basement, helped the bf a bit in the garage (only when he needed it with big stuff, that was totally his accomplishment)

Exhausted, aching, swollen, but very very happy and feeling accomplished. Contractors and the fencing guys should be totally wrapped up this week, which means we should be in a really good place come next weekend

This has been a fucking process, but I don’t have a single regret. I’m so, so happy

What people seem to miss about TRPs theory on hypergamy is that its an ingrained instinct for women. Hypergamous behaviour happens subconsciously. Like no shit guys will ideally want the best they can get, but that's a false equivalence argument.

Tbh, this sub completely misrepresents TRP altogether. I view TRP as a mindset shift, a perspective on things. You pick and choose what works, and discard what doesnt, and experential evidence is more important to how you go about things than the theory. For example, I dont wholly believe in AWALT, but all women do shit test. Not once have i gotten with a woman and not gotten some sort of shit test e.g. pointing out how another guy is hot.

TRP is a meta-narrative, and like all meta-narratives its not the complete "truth" in any way shape or form

A lot of the time, it seems like women base their concept of "love" around men who can inspire the most broad range of emotions from them. Women have to be happy, sad, angry, afraid, bored, and a little disgusted on a constant basis to feel any sort of emotional attachment to a man, and too few of these emotions and/or in too small quantity creates lukewarm-ness and indifference.

I say this as a guy who watches as their friend's girlfriends continue to be with them despite being treated rather poorly as far as relationships are concerned. My friend that I'm staying with made his wife cry during dinner last night and he constantly acts annoyed by her like she's his biggest problem in life and tries to control her. Yet, after a long talk with her and her bottle of wine last night, she still loves him and wants things to be like they were when they first got together.

At what age does everyone plan to retire?

I was reading something on another forum that felt like a punch in the gut. He was talking about people retiring at 65 or 70, and then not being able to do anything but sit around all day or figure out how to spend their money that they slaved away for and cant even spend in a meaningful way cuz their body wont allow it.

Retiring after like 60 sounds so awful. Id want at least a decade of still being active and stuff. So sounds like late 50s is really the latest you can retire and still have a pretty good one.

Why are sluts so mainstream?

Whenever I hear people discussing their dating experiences in the media or on podcasts, it's usually sluts talking about their hedonistic adventures dating and sleeping with hundreds of Chads.

I'm sure there are a lot of sluts, but I don't think it's as popular as the media makes it seem. The media is normalizing slutty behavior by spotlighting it, no bueno.
