In this sub and it's "sister" ones, usually manosphere related ones, it is often said that female happiness is lower than ever, even moreso than male happiness. Sometimes men use this to prop up the "good old days" of many women being SAHM, others say it's because of rampant hypergamy and a lack of women ever having enough, and yet more men say it's indicative of the female sex being shallow and not having fulfilling hobbies the way most men do.

To which women usually reply that it's because they're expected to both work full-time and then come home to do the "second shift" of child care and cleaning, that modern women are being more honest on these reports than men, or that women in the past weren't being truthful about their happiness since being a "good housewife" entailed always being a pleasant companion for your husband and not discussing your own problems.

So what I'm curious is:

  1. On a scale of 1 (Jumping Off A Bridge Tomorrow) to 10 (Everything Is Great And Couldn't Ask For More) what is your own level of happiness?

  2. If you're one of our older members (35+), are you happier now or were you more in your teens/20s? What changed? A lot of manospherians firmly believe that all women get steadily more unhappy as they age, thinking about their declining physical looks and validation/attention from random men. Is there any truth to this, or is it masturbatory schadenfreude?

  3. Do you think overall female happiness is indeed lower than men's or not, and why?
