The answer is very simple. The technology isn't there yet. There are men who use porn, full sized love dolls, and live a MGTOW lifestyle, but really the technology isn't there yet realistically.

The technologies you mentioned employ super normal stimuli to turn on some of those switches in the brain, but it is not nearly a complete experience of companionship, nor is it even a complete experience of sex. But once the uncanny valley is crossed and there are robots like those of the show West World for example, all bets are off if men and women don't fix this problem they're having by then through ubiquitously adopting a better, more ethical approach to loving as an art, philosophy, and way of life.

They are expensive as hell. The good ones cost about $10,000 dollars.

But they are supposed to be worth it because the AI is getting better to where you can interact with them more and more like a real girl. Here, she too is an artificial girlfriend that you can now see but can't really touch. (notice the common theme?) In both of these movies the protagonists have artificial women that they know are artificial but love them anyway.

This fulfills a deep yearning in men to love. Even if the object of love is not physical but merely an artificially interactive female program. Men just want to go to the next step and give the artificial woman a body. Not unlike the way god breathed life into the dust of the earth and created the first man. In this situation, it would be as if Adam employed the creative power of god to fashioned a woman for himself in his own likeness.

The technology is not there yet. Eventually it will be. When a decent replacement for women hits the market I will be on it. The problem is not the physical stimulation but the mental stimulation instead.

Porn and toys are already good enough for physical stimulation and will be even better in the future.

I agree with you and i think with time larger and larger percentages of young men who have constantly been met with rejections will go that route.

AI companions that can simulate the role of a person happy to have you around. Given enough time it is possible to build a romantic connection with even inanimate objects much less software that can fool you into a connection.

The biggest barrier to entry is ofcourse the fact that larger society will simply look down upon these loser men. Although to the truely socially ill adapted, it wouldn't really matter. It changes nothing for them after all.

As far as VR porn however, that's likely to penetrate a far greater cross section of men. The fallout will be intense.

Women will complaint endlessly about the men they date ending up having porn dick ( ie porn induced erectile dysfunction). Women as a group will judge men more intensely for indulging in porn. Some would try to enforce a more militant approach and mandate porn abstinence. Thing is however that once VR becomes as ubiquitous as smartphones, men at all levels of sucess will be affected,.
