I've volunteered at a support service, called ambulances for suicidal men and women, might've saved a life. I currently teach in a low income neighbourhood and aim at improving outcomes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. I treat the men and women I know as well as I can. I've helped male and female friends and strangers through dangerous situations. I don't see the need to target help at men specifically, supporting people is generally gender neutral.

I’m anti body shaming for things people can’t control, like height and dick size. I’ve called some of my friends’ preferences for guys over 6’0 unrealistic.

I share posts about men’s mental health on my social media pages. The YouTuber Healthy Gamer has some great videos on this which helped me understand the topic a lot more.

I often comment about how social awkwardness shouldn’t be seen as creepy or dangerous and am against recording guys in gyms who “stare.” The gym is one of the best resources for men’s mental health, especially for guys who don’t have access to therapy. Creeps exist, but so does staring off into space or mindlessly glancing in one direction. My policy is only record people if you’re in actual danger or they haven’t left you alone after asking.

I used to be an active ally for feminists for some time as a leftist, which mainly saw me promoting women's voices in social environments, group settings, clubs, organizations, and other types of collectives especially as a student. I'd taken courses on feminism in combination with my studies to better educate myself on women's struggles especially in the late 20th-century, both in the West and in the Middle East. This mainly meant that I tried to understand what "male privilege" and my masculinity were and how I practiced them consciously or unconsciously, which led me to a lot of behavioural modifications and understanding when my presence or my voice was not appropriate.

However, I don't really serve in this role as much anymore for a few reasons. One is because of my life's trajectory. I've moved around quite a bit in the last few years, which has meant that I'm no longer part of those organizations or social environments.

The other reason is because I've recently understood that I was stifling my own voice and my struggles in order to uplift others. While that's appropriate in certain settings where women do not have the opportunity to be heard or have their voices promoted, I realized that I was doing so at my own expense most of the time. I was muting myself in order to not prolong or intensify others' difficulties, and it left me feeling a lot more like a disposable ally rather than someone who could also talk about their own gender and identity in a positive, constructive way. I think this was a consequence of a lot of feminists I interacted with who didn't portray masculinity in a very positive light. And while I won't paint feminism with a broad brush and assume that they're all man-hating banshees because of my experiences, I realize now that I need to really figure out how/why I've struggled with my masculinity for a long time, what behaviours or thought patterns I've ingrained, and what I can do to fix it. I am admittedly really struggling to define what it means for me to be a dude right now.

I'd still consider myself somewhat of an ally in the end, and I still am pro-egalitarian, but I'm a bit too exhausted at this point to be an activist once again.

I try to raise awareness about men's issues at least in my immediate social circle and in online communities I frequent (let's be honest, it's mostly ppd though). I spread information how to avoid getting drafted for Russian men and I'm openly anti-war. I support individual men in my life and I provide them help and support when they need it.

That's pretty much it. To be fair I'm not doing much for women either these days, but I used to donate to Russian charities against DV. I've been thinking about starting a twitter account or something to have a small platform to talk about egalitarianism but I'm not sure I have enough "credentials" to do so.

I listen to them yap about their problems. I know a lot of people don't give them the time of day and view them as weak, so no matter how annoying it is (coming from both) I make an extra effort to listen to men vs to women because I know women usually have tighter knit social circles, and that there's likely always someone listening to them.

I work in the nonprofit sector, so I've supported a lot of boys and men through my work. I've worked with a few youth programs where we help young boys and girls from low income backgrounds through education, empowerment, help with college, keeping them in productive and creative spaces, arts programs, STEM programming, etc. I worked at a nonprofit that provided transitional employment for previously incarcerated people, most of whom were men (we provided a lot of physical labor jobs through city contracts). I've worked at an immigration center that catered to a specific community and a lot of men came there for help with passing citizenship exams, getting therapy, help with health insurance, etc. Things like that.

I'm also involved in leftist/socialist political organizing and most of the people in our org are men. Class oppression affects a lot of men and we engage in political education to bring awareness to history, theory, etc. I am also learning myself, but I help organize educational programming and our audience ends of up being mostly men who really need that understanding as well. And just being in community like that with people and making connections can help.

I make it a point to talk about how capitalism and patriarchy hurt men. I tried to step in with my parents, who are raising my young cousins, with some of that and they didn't listen, but I try. My dad isn't the worst, but still has his toxic masculinity approach to raising them, saying things like, "don't be a whimp/sissy" or "acting like a little girl" and it enrages me. My parents are both more of the colder "we provide for you, encourage you to do the right thing, don't be too sensitive" types to varying degrees. Emotional sensitivity isn't a strong point for them. Once my cousin apparently was trying to hurt himself and my mom caught him and said it wasn't worth it, but you know we have to discipline you, etc. (He had gotten in trouble) Their take on it was that he wanted attention. Even if that is true, nowhere did I hear them say "I love you," so I told him myself and held him and rubbed his back and he started crying. Who knows if it was performative, I don't care. He was still grounded, but it costs nothing to teach them that they can be safe expressing emotions and that what we do to ensure their best future is out of love. The toxic masculinity is pretty strong with my mom actually.

This is a hard one because i do not think about women as women for the most part. For me its just another way of being human which is a very obvious thing to say but it matters because i would need to otherize the other first in order to become aware that the things i am doing for them are of no personal benefit for me because i would never go through that myself (wchis is also not true, because in an interconnected world things that happen to others always affect you).

But also... i do things for my mother, for my sister, for my granma, for my female friends. And many of the things i help with are determined because of the fact that they are women, yes, but i do not do them because they are women.

So at large... nothing. Being bluntly honest. Individually i have helped many women to know when there was a health issue with their bodies such as polichistic ovaries due to the fact that many of them are actually not aware of having them. Informing them about the potential consequences of the pill for their reproductive health as much as abortion and the fact that nothing is better than the preservative for the well being of their bodies and their future if they want to be mothers (not in the sense of do not do that, do the other thing instead but in the sense of "if you do this you expose yourself to that so leave it as a last resort etc"). But seriously i never feel that im doing something for women. Im just helping people who happen to have a different body.

As an educator, I often examine texts through a feminist lens. For example, I usually do a film study on Princess Mononoke, and we explore representations of women (positive and negative) through the female characters. However, my approach is more in line with classical feminism, as opposed to third wave feminism; I don't get into patriarchy theory (which I tend to disagree with). I focus on strong female representations, like San and Eboshi in that particular film.

I actually Support a lot more focus on educational attainment for men, particularly in high school. People are kicking around, delaying the age in which children enter school. Bringing back far more physical exercise. I’d like to see computers much more restricted in school. I like to see a lot more hands on work classes in school more than just the periodic shop or home EC.

I’d like a lot more of financial investment into afterschool activities for both boys and girls but particularly for boys so that they have somewhere free to go. Basically better Support for boys and girls clubs. I’d like to see a national service between high school and college.

All the things I’ve mentioned would benefit both sexes, but particularly with the addition of physical exercise, and also more classes like shop and welding, etc., should benefit men in the sense of giving them a physical outlet towards something mechanical in nature.

I wouldn’t be giving more affirmative action than what could get now getting into college. And yes, it always surprises. People when I point out men get affirmative action into into college.

It seems to me that women have it pretty good right now in my parts of the world, I don't think they need any support from me. I'm strongly against 4th wave feminism so I find myself opposing most of the things women might be looking to me for support for like gender quotas etc.

I'm very strongly in favor of abortion rights, voting rights, and everything else that came with the earlier waves of feminism though, and if anybody tried to take any of those things away from women I would be staunchly supporting women on those issues.

I never mistreat men in dating situations.

That's part of why it grinds my gears so much to see misandry online, I've seen how much men can change when given the right motivation to change and I have seen how damaging the wrong motivations are too.

I point out the ridiculous body standards that exist for men (the huge muscles and highly toned body) and I support body positivity for men.
I point out how inappropriate it is when male celebrities are asked to take off their shirts so women can cheer. Seriously just imagine the reverse.
I never get tired of explaining to people that little boys playing with swords or toy guns does NOT mean they like violence. That boys need more physical activity. And they also need love and appreciation, hugs and kisses.
I support the hell out of giving men more freedom from expectations, socially speaking. You are a man because you just are, it breaks my heart that men feel the need to prove that they are men, that they have value.
I support equal rights. MRAs make some good points about the more suicides, more homeless men, more male school drop-outs, more jail time for the same criminal activity, rape not being taken seriously etc.

Men talk to me about things they would never with other people. I know Ive helped them in other ways. I also know a lot about mens health and talk about these things with them. Ive also noticed bad moles, etc on their back or the like they should get checked. I recognize them as Ive had my own precancerous moles removed.

So many men have no idea about being proactive about prostate cancer, etc. Men sure seem to lack awareness on health mens health issues.

They dont know there are more than one ED meds out there. Ive told them where they can get free anonymous STD testing.

I also give them tips on what to look out for so they see a quality escort so they wont get robbed, etc.

Its a mutually beneficial job.

I donate to charities as well that help all people. One I donate the most to feeds elderly people that are in need/declining heath from aging and cant cook anymore.

I did it until I got thrown out by a the group because I ran afoul of one.of the popular dudes.

In college I backed a girl who was a friend of a friend against her senior who was covercibg her to have sex with him. My best friend and I bodily threatened him and then went with her to get the higher authorities involved.

I vote for women's interests. I've donated to Planned Parenthood a few times. I've mentored women at work several times. They've said I've helped them get off to a good start and feel like they belong there. That felt good.

At the risk of making this not completely positive comment I'll add on that I share some frustration of other men here that my voice is not welcome in liberal/progressive/feminist circles, especially if I don't agree 100% with whatever the current orthodoxy is. This is despite agreeing with the goals of these movements and their stances on most issues. So I stay silent and just contribute with votes, money, and work. I still believe there is work to be done for women and other people, so I can't just walk away entirely. It's just difficult to actually have a discussion about it. It's sad and I believe it drives a lot of people, especially men, away.

I try to encourage truly honest and truthful conversation about both genders and gender dynamics, regardless of whether a particular truth is uncomfortable for men or women (or both). In the end, the truth is beneficial for both genders and the only way to deal with some modern gender issues is to clear away a lot of the political insanity surrounding gender.

I spend time with them, befriend them, try to understand things from their perspective, and learn about what women go through and try my best to be an ally, I'm not perfect though but I try my best to understand. I don't try to hit on them, harass them and try to flirt with them in inappropriate settings. I don't see every woman as a piece of meat. Do I think they are cute and attractive yes, but they also have good personalities as well and I talk to them.

My cousin came out to most of the extended family as gay about a year ago. For a mostly religious family it went to pretty well (most don't agree with it but they keep it to themselves and haven't shunned her or anything).

I gave her the biggest hug when she told me and I've openly told said family members how proud I am of her. It takes a lot of courage to do what she did. I know LGBTQIA2S+ isn't women specific but I'd happily fight the entire world for her.

I'm generally more affectionate and protective of my female friends and relatives than the male ones.

I always accompany my women friends to their homes at night, I have no problem always listening to them vent about similar stuff multiple times, or to offer them a shoulder to cry on or a hand to squeeze when they feel sad or in distress. Pretty basic and ordinary things tbh.

It's not that I don't love my male friends and relatives, or that I love them less. It's just that with them our mutual way of showing affection and care is more detached and joking like. The only exception is my father, with whom I'm almost as openly caring as with my mother.

It simply comes easier to me to show my softer side to the women in my life, since they are generally more positively receptive of it and they respond in kind with me.

But I have twice defended women from physically or sexually aggressive men on nights out, and I once made a friend sit down for an intervention with our male friend group and grilled him for the way he had been treating his partner (pushing her into walls, slapping her, telling her to fk off in public)

Well, I'm a homebody, unpopular, and not many hobies, and none that require multiple people

My workspace is highly collaborative. I'm very interested in psychometrics and personality measuring and teh Big V. One woman I recognized as highly neurotic so I'd give her space when soemthing went wrong and she'd usually come back. I remember she made a mistake and was upset about it at one point, so I asked a co-worker to ask her for help with something just so she could feel useful/competent.

I do all that I can to treat them as independently of sex as possible. I'll talk to them personally, but only enough to 'foster a good working relationship'. If I recognize that they're competent but not confident I try to encourage them to speak more or take on new projects. If they're incompetent I try to encourage them in what they are good at and recognize them for what they are doing. I introduced the practice to recognizing other team members for the little things anyone has done over teh week at our weekly meetings. I'm mindful to treat everyone based off the content of what they're sayign is and not their position.

I spent 3 years lobbying to keep our local Male mental health ward open, when it came under threat. Even down to physically protesting the council on the ground. I was part of the petition process to increase paternity leave and to make parental leave universal. I've been advertising for our local men in sheds group for several years now.
