The first thing I would like to say is that becoming a doctor isn’t the status symbol it used to be. The way I hear nurses and other health care workers talk about doctors is about how attractive their career and income potential is. It’s never complimenting how handsome the actual doctor themselves are (except for the very few men that actually are both hot and doctors).

This life observation is what taught me that your intelligence and life ambitions have absolutely no influence on increasing one’s sex appeal. It just makes you a more attractive provider.

Another observation is that being a guy in the medical field makes you surrounded by women due to women graduating in greater numbers from universities. The gender ratio in this environment only helps if you have sex appeal. You could be a doctor and you’ll still be invisible in the streets outside of work where you’re just a citizen like everyone else. A lot of doctors I know look very ordinary once they take off their white coat because with just scrubs they could be a CNA for all we know at first glance. Take off the scrubs and put a polo shirt and they could be mistaken as janitors.

Lastly, it’s mind blowing how many women in the medical field are single due to them wanting someone who makes more money than them while also being attractive. No guy who makes more than 300k a year wants them the same way these women won’t look at someone who makes less.
