Honestly, I don’t know enough about it to really understand it outside the stereotypes. Also based on my life experiences around relationships, BP is the default for me.

I personally don’t like the whole /10 ratings, words like “chad” and “SMV” etc. Also can’t stand the constant misinformed stereotypes around what’s a bad boy and what’s a nice guy.

I’m a big believer of “just be normal” as well. Not sure what that makes me

I have read the articles and they’re nasty. Women are Children. Women are the Oldest Teenager. LMR. Etc etc.

It’s misogynistic and manipulative. There are ways to date like a normal person.

Yes. I haven't talked to many Red Pillers who actually seem to like and respect women and who want egalitarian relationships with them.

I'm not a fan of the misogyny and AWALT.

Also I think it is a reductionist way of looking at dating and relationships. And human interaction. It's basically setting people up for some kind of transactional thing. And it's sad.

It uses evo-psyche to verify it's claims to make it seem like it is scientifically accurate. But a lot of these claims can be disputed. But it validates their misogyny and rules for thee but not for me mindset.

The grifters. Which go on to poison the minds of more men. It just preys upon insecure men.

And the PUA/manipulation games.

It just gives neurotic insecure men more reasons to be neurotic and insecure. Whole cosplaying as an alpha male.

I'm all for self improvement and setting good boundaries. That should be universal in dating. Bad people man or women are opportunistic. I don't advocate for emotionally manipulating someone to try and get positive results if you have to do that just leave. Have some dignity.

I've read red pill bullshit from its very start and it has always been a deeply hateful and dangerous ideology. It sold lies that it had the secrets to attract women and when those inevitably didn't work out, surprise, it's women's fault.

But while the misogyny is often the focus, it needs to be noted how misandric red pill is. Red pillers hate any man who steps out of line with what they believe a man should be. They throw a shit fit if any person calls them an incel, but don't bat an eye and shouting "CUCK" "SIMP" "BETA" and other assorted shit at a man who displeases them.

Their hypocrisy doesn't stop there. For a long time, red pillers were quite homophobic and I was routinely called "faggot" and other slurs if they found out I was bi. Then, they discovered that some women don't want to date bi men, and suddenly they decided bi men were totally welcome since they could be used to attack women and don't worry about all the homophobia from before.

Finally, as an extension of the manosphere, they dominate conversations on men's issues but will block any attempt to improve those issues. They only care about bashing women and feminists, and will actively seek to perpetuate men's suffering to keep attacking women/feminists.

I don’t dislike it. I just think it’s incorrect.

It’s basically just people projecting these simplistic archetypal ideas of men and women that are biased from their own experiences onto humanity as a whole and pretending it’s scientific with cherrypicked studies and heavy speculation portrayed as fact.

I’m a man and I never needed a guide to date. I only found out about redpill from r/all and I’ve always found it to be cringy and at times comical. It acts like the only way to get a woman to like you is be some macho alpha dude when many women hate that and there was a whole emo craze and glam metal craze once upon a time. Women were throwing themselves at skinny dudes wearing heavy makeup but kids today think you have to be John Cena to get laid.

Redpill I s also extremely culty. If you are a man or woman who isn’t what redpill thinks a man or woman is, you’re lying, brainwashed, not self-aware, etc. It’s extremely stupid. Rather than accept that their layman evopsych speculations might be wrong, and maybe there is more to human experience than they think there is, they throw out excuses and double down. I don’t even bother arguing because my best argument is “go outside.” It’s a great one, but I can’t exactly distill the experience of having social skills and meeting women without redpill or PUA stuff into a few paragraphs.

Redpill people act like wanting a submissive woman is a natural thing that men want when that’s ridiculous. Humans didn’t evolve in suburbs. Women had to have survival skills. They had to be independent way more than anyone living in a civilization. Why would a man pick a helpless, submissive woman over one who has her shit together and doesn’t need him to survive?

Pleistocene men weren’t thinking the same way as insecure men with no social skills worried they will never get a woman.

I think insecure men want submissive women because they need to have power over someone because they’re worried that person won’t love them enough to stay with them. Part of it comes from many redpill people being current or former porn addicts who end up thinking every woman is looking for the next tallest dude with the next biggest dick to hop on, because they’re so unsocialized they don’t understand how most of what makes sex enjoyable isn’t physical for people who are not emotionally stunted.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of men like me who never needed pill nonsense to date or get laid will never interact with redpill people enough to give them another perspective mostly because they don’t even know what it is. Most people I meet irl don’t even know what it is, and the ones who do know are vaguely aware of it. Again, I only found out because of r/all, and I would read it for fascination and comedy.

I love the red pill. I got into TRP at a young age and honestly it helped me a lot.

As i got older though I looked back and decided I basically have nothing in common with red pill beliefs. I'm a soft, empathetic guy. I'm a serial monogamist. I don't value sleeping around. I am vulnerable and a crybaby. I'm also a powerlifter and 6'2 with a huge beard.

I've been happily married with a newborn :)

I think there is a genuine masculinity crisis in America. But I think it's masculine to be emotional and vulnerable. It's masculine to be strong, not stoic.

But I believe that because it's who I am and what's worked for me. My wife loves that I'm emotional and vulnerable.

So I dont hate the red pill at all. It's useful. I am just not a red pill guy at all, and that's who I am.

It’s predatory to both women and men. It only works for the top 15% of men who were already somewhat attractive and needed a few social and self care skills. There is validity in “fake it til you make it” when it comes to confidence which is why it’s good for those men.

Where goes wrong is the other 85% of men desperately in need of mental health support. But it seems to only make those men sicker and more isolated. On top of it all - since it attracts men who are insecure you then police each other to not be kind to women out of your fears of hypergamy nature - but it’s very obvious that you sabotage because of your own insecurity by the number of blue pill guys on here having sex.

I don't disagree with mainstream dating advice the red pill sphere has adopted and claimed as its own invention. Examples: be healthy, exercise, dress nice and talk to people.

I disagree with and dislike most of the core ideas such as alpha/beta, briffaults law, dark triad being attractive, the friend zone and orbiters being something women do to men rather than the opposite, manipulation tactics (dread or power games) being a good foundation for a relationship, using coersion and pestering to sleep with women, hypergamy, niceness being unattractive, plate spinning (most older red pill gurus have stopped this and gotten married), the acceptance of misogyny and derogatory language towards women as a whole ("hamstering" and "women are children"), AWALT, conflating one's value with appearance and status.

And of course I hate misogynists, which most red pill men are.
