I was dating a guy for about 6 months when I was 21. He was lousy in bed, small peepee, had no technique, would only ever take, etc.. One day I was just sitting at home minding my own business and out of the blue he sent me a text informing me that he was now going to be requiring me to completely shave my vulva (which already had about 80% of the hair removed) if I expected the relationship to continue. After about 2 months I had a fling with a guy who loved going down on me, and I stopped shaving completely because I was feeling so done with male audacity about female pubic hair. That guy literally never mentioned it once. He was LV for other reasons, but he was sure skilled with his mouth, and was not scared of puberty.

I have one story where he started yelling at me when he was at my place. I led him to the door, him still yelling, handed him his shoes, him still yelling, directed him to the hallways, him still yelling, and then closed the door.

I have another story where I just started throwing the guys stuff at the door and said "you gotta go."

I've dumped more men than I can remember.

I broke things off with a guy who seemed like a nice, gentlemanly and well put together guy for the first month but during the second month his mask started to fall and out came all of these red flags. He pursued me hard when we first met, he’d take me out on nice dates and bring me lunch to work whenever he was on break. Then after a few weeks he started slowly withdrawing his effort. I found out he had an ex still in the picture, she showed up to a club me and him both frequented and he claimed she was there because she knew he’d be there and she wanted him back (triangulation). He said she had all these jealousy issues (he was projecting) but he didn’t block her and still followed her on social media🚩 unfortunately I let that first red flag slide but then as he got more comfortable he revealed his drinking habits. He was drinking every single day claiming him and his bros were trying to keep up a drinking streak just for fun🚩🚩 I found out he was drinking during work and drank 5-6 beers on his lunch break alone in his car with just a bag of potato chips for food.

I dumped him when we were out with a group of people, though it was in a public setting but we were at a separate table so no one else could hear the conversation. He told me he wasn’t drinking that much and he only did that at work a couple times and that he could handle his liquor, he claimed I was overreacting and a bunch of other word salad trying to defend himself. I still said no I’m not changing my mind then that night he was so wasted he got really mad at his friend for not playing a song he wanted. Me and another friend were also in the car and witnessed the whole thing. This guy got so argumentative, his friend had to call another person in the group to come pick this guy up and bring him home. My ex then texted me once he got back safely that he was so sorry he got so upset and he was sorry I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable and that he’d been going through some stuff. The next day he told me he stopped his drinking streak (right). I sent a message (we talked over Snapchat🚩) saying that I was done and called out his disrespect. My petty self deleted him on snap so he could still see the message but couldn’t reply. Apparently he told the guys in the group I broke up with him and deleted him on snap so word got around quickly

My covert narc ex interrupted me for the last time to claim that he knew how the story I was telling him would end. He always had to be a know-it-all even with subjects that he knew NOTHING about. I asked how he thought the damn story would end and he said, “no, sorry” and I insisted he finish it for me. When he was wrong, I didn’t even explain to him what was wrong with him thinking he knew how I was going to finish the story. After he passive aggressively pulled back for a few days and posted photos of himself with his friend and his friend’s girlfriend, he called me and I told him it wasn’t working between us (for the 3rd and final time), then he did the same song and dance as always where he very convincingly told me that he was reflecting on his tendency to be the smartest one in the room and how he lacked social skills and that he was committed to finding a therapist. I told him that was great and it would take him a long way, as well as, “What time would be good for you for us to meet up and exchange stuff?” To which he replied, “Wait, we’re breaking up? I thought we were working things out,” and I told him he had many chances to get into therapy previously, but I was no longer going to hang around waiting to see it. Fast forward 4 months and he sends me an email about how he misses me and never got the same feeling from anyone else, and alllll the things he thought was wrong with me, so “I want to ask if you want to meet for coffee and catch up and I can return your shoes that I found in my closet”. I simply thanked him and gave him an address to ship the shoes to.

Recent but my ex accused me of flirting with random guys at a bar even though I was with him, holding his hand, dancing the entire time. Went to the bathroom and he was nearly in a fight with a bartender, being pulled off and then slammed his way through a crowd, breaking things. Saying it was all the bartenders fault, he did nothing, it wasn’t even expensive stuff he broke.

He calmed down. I told him when we got home I’d help him pack and he needed to figure out where he was staying. Hardest thing I’ve done, but also dang am I glad I did it.

Ok so this was a very brief situation, but it was sooo crazy. Flashback to years ago, I was a pickme freshly separated, soon to be divorced, from my intelligent yet emotionally neglectful ex. Needless To say, I was in a bad spot mentally. Along comes this nerdy softboi at work who was everything my ex was intellectually, yet was also sweet and romantic, which I’d never had and yearned for. At least over text and verbally, he and I clicked so well it was unreal. And in person he made me feel like the only woman in the room, like we were soulmates. He future-faked and lovebombed like crazy too!

However, within a couple weeks he started to get kind of withdrawn and petulant. He didn’t like me hanging out with friends. He’d get upset w me but not tell me why. Looking back, he definitely played his hand too early, because I was a huge hopeless romantic pickme at the time and he even spooked me. Our total courtship was very brief and I got bad vibes and so I (with much inner turmoil) broke things off. It was actually really hard for me to do at the time.

I shit you not, literally two weeks later, this mofo got married! To some random chick he just met that was much younger than him (hello, age gap!). Found out through social media/the grapevine. I was so aghast yet not at all upset or angry because the situation was so bizarre that all I could feel was extreme relief.

Looking back with older, wiser eyes I see that this was a narc. We didn’t have any soulmate connection at all; he was only ever mirroring me. His softboi thing was a mask.

Even though the time on the photo was when I was right next to him. He spent 3 days yelling at me and cursing me out on and off, and on the final day, still stuck in that abusive cycle, I tried to apologize to him. He laughed in my face.

Something snapped and when he stormed out for the third time that week, I just grabbed a bag full of clothes, kissed his sweet little cat goodbye, and fled our shared apartment. I’m so glad I did it.

Ooooooohhhh boy-

Mine aren't as crazy as other stories are, since I haven't dated anyone for the last year or two, so I didn't get the chance to deal with jaded men. This is all when I was <20yro, without the holy grail of FDS.

I broke up with one guy over text because I suspected he was cheating. Think of something short like "hi, bye" kind of text. I never got confirmation, but idgaf. He wasn't acting into me at all (TRP bullshit) and I kindly gave him the finger. He tried to add me on facebook few years later. Nope!

Another guy I was dating 1 week in acted all too cool (again some TRP bullshit) to even greet me when we went out with our friend group. I promptly ignored him as well, focused on my friends and when it was time to go, he came to me for a hug. I was like "do I know you?" and left. Didn't even bother waiting for his response. Got home, blocked him, and thank god- never saw him again. Last I heard he's a college dropout with some serious drug problems.

One guy tried to mansplain me my own feelings. It was my first time "confiding into him" (I used this as a way to see how they react to my "emotional turmoils") and instead of listening to me and offering support, he started interrupting me in order to tell me how it's stupid to feel this and that and that I should just move in with him and cut them off. I started laughing like crazy, told him he's that's the stupidest thing I ever heard from anyone, how I couldn't believe he could even think of something that stupid. I ended up with "I can't-", still laughing I got up and left. His jaw dropped and for the first time in my life I could hear that guy shut up. He was so used to being the smartest guy in the room he had no idea how to respond to being called an idiot. His head was that far up his ass. He was a classic narcissist, minus the love bombing, and I managed to recognize that and escape within 2 weeks.

I was in a relationship for six months, and we went two weeks without seeing each other due to lame excuses on his part. He would have 3-4 random days off a week, while I worked 2nd shift, so during the week, we only had the afternoons to see each other. He decided he needed to go to the gym during these afternoons...like you have the entire day off, you just have to go the gym during the only time I can see you?

When I saw him, I said hey this is not acceptable. I will not be in a relationship where we see each other 2x/month. He played dumb, and then it happened again! I went over there with all his stuff from my apartment: "Just doing some spring cleaning!" I remember he was in a good mood that day.

Me: Last time we saw each other, I told you that we weren't spending enough time together. And then we went another two weeks not seeing each other.

Him: Yes, I've been told by other women I've dated that I work a lot

Me: You work the same hours you've always had. The reason was because of x and y, neither one of which is acceptable.

Him: I don't know what to say? (yes his exact words)

Me: *breaks up with him*

He texted me later, saying "Are we really broken up?" and that I "dropped a nuke and peaced out".

I'm convinced he was trying to turn me from a GF into a FWB.

I was on tour out of the country for a couple weeks, while the man I was seeing was back at “home” (not my home country, but a place where going on a few dates means that you’re now in a relationship). I had heard from mutual friends months before that he asked out a mutual friend while he was seeing me. Thinking that someone must have gotten it wrong because everyone goes for coffee, I had naively ignored it. He sent me poems every day while I was gone, but I was so busy that I didn’t have time to read them. Once I got back, I spent time with a different friend who told me that she saw him with his ex at an event. He had already asked me to come over for lunch the next day, so I decided that tomorrow was the day. I walked into his house where he was grilling the vegetables and said “oh hi Patrick, this is over,” turned around, and walked away. He really didn’t see that coming. Before I left, I organized a women’s march in town, but I moved to a different country before the event could take place. He wrote me to say that he attended the march, spoke with people there, and came up with several action plans and wanted my collaboration (he fancies himself a women’s leader??). This is from the guy that waited until I was drunk and crying to hook up with me because I had told him that I was not going to date him! I ignored that email. Then I received a series of emails about how much he loved my dissertation and wanted to write a novella based on the history in order to raise funds for my next master’s degree. I ignored this email. He sent more emails with some very cringey drafts. I sent them to my friends and we all laughed.

I was in a relationship with a guy for 7 months. One night he gets drunk and decides to call me at 2am. I can tell he's wasted because he's slurring his words so I tell him I'll call him tomorrow and hang up so I can go back to sleep.

He calls again, and I tell him the same thing and hang up again. He calls AGAIN. And AGAIN. He's alternating between calling the house phone and my cell and waking up not just me but also my parents and brother. So I put both ringers on silent and go to sleep.

I wake up the next morning to 70+ voicemails on my phone left between 2am - 5am. I listen to the first one - he's slurring his words calling me all sorts of names... slut, whore, fuck face, bitch.... every name in the book! He sounds absolutely insane, like a drunken, crazed homeless man babbling to nobody about his evil ex wife on a street corner. I listen to voicemail #2 and it's the exact same thing!

I delete all the voicemails and send him a text that says "You are piece of shit. Don't ever contact me again."

I never speak to him again but in the following weeks he proceeds to leave voice mails where he's drunk (again), but this time he's all "baaaabe.... i miss youuuu... please call meeee" 😂

One of my aunts was in a long-term relationship with a man who would give her the cold shoulder for several days after they had an argument, and would only think to resolve it on his terms - keep in mind, they LIVED TOGETHER. Like he would ignore her attempts to work it out until HE wanted to.

The last time they fought, he suggested breaking up and then didn't talk to her for four days. When he finally talked and cried about wanting to work it out, she asked "why? I thought we were broken up". It was fucking badass. He thought he could keep my aunt crawling back every time he didn't feel like having a partner and wanted to be selfish.

He was so shocked - he went shocked pikachu face that she was done with him. She dropped him, let him be until he found his own place and is now living her best classy lady life. It was the most brutal thing I've ever seen her do and I have so much respect.

Back in my early twenties, an emotionally abusive scrote ex had ensnared me back into the abuse cycle right when I was about to leave. I went through many more incidents and on his birthday, he decided to make an insulting comment.

He had a habit of sabotaging holidays and my birthdays which is what makes this story extra savage lol.

I didn’t plan this at all but the insulting comment happened to be on the day of HIS birthday and was the last straw. I broke up with him on his birthday and told him to get out of my apartment after he picked up a laptop he had left there. He didn’t take me seriously at first and kept texting me after when he realized I had blocked him everywhere and I began deleting photos on social media. Back then I took social media relationship stuff seriously so he knew it was a sign I was really done.

He began stalking/harassing me for weeks after through multiple fake phone numbers and emails. Begged me to come back through texts and voicemails. Raged and also love bombed. He even began making anonymous accounts online to troll me.

I documented all of it and went to the police. He was arrested for harassment and picked up at his new job and I was given a restraining order.

He never contacted me again.

I also got my dream penthouse apartment recently and it has amazing floor to ceiling views. For reasons I won’t go into here (has to do with his verbal abuse, specific insults he threw at me and pathological envy of my growing success) I know it kills him inside knowing I got 100x even more successful after I left. 🤣😏

Guy 1

I cant remember why exactly we fought but he basically tried to gaslight me. He said something along the lines of "stop being creepy and just leave me alone". It was his standard behaviour he would say that then trash talk about me to his family about how I was the bad one and then he would try to get back with me. This had happened like 6 to 7 times prior and I was a raging pickmesha back then.

That one time he tried to gaslight me idk why but I got very triggered. I took all of his abusive and perverted messages and posted the screenshots in his family group chat which he had added me to, looking back idk why I was so messy.

His sibling reached out to me to say sorry on his behalf but I told them that I would respectfully wish to cut ties with them. They all understood and left me alone. It must have been about a year later when his older brother texted me to tell me he was getting married. I congratulated him and then he asked me if i would attend his wedding. I told him that I didnt think it would be a good idea because I wanted to avoid seeing his brother. What was his response? "Dont worry about him I can uninvited him if you want?" I was so shocked, I still declined going but I love that his family cared about me and my feelings so much to the extent that they would kick their own brother out from the wedding just so I would turn up.

Last I heard his whole family cut him off and that he is homeless (not because of me but because he is a idiot in general).

Guy 2

We had been together 3 years and even gone on some holidays together. I was in my early 20s and in the best shape of my life and he was early 30s. Because he was Arab I got really into the food etc. This breakup was really dramatic lol.

One day he took me to a new shawarma place in town. He was really the sporty kind and was always watching what he ate so when he suggested a shawarma place I was a bit surprised. We pulled up and I was so excited!! He ordered just warag 3nab which is basically grape leaf with some ratchet rice mixed in (i never been a fan). I asked him to get me 2 chicken shawarmas and he looked at me and said "babe you should watch your weight, why dont you get the same thing as me its much healthier).

In that moment I was so shocked but internally I was seething. He placed the order and we drove away, keep in mind the place was about to shut. In the car I was visibly upset and he noticed. He kept asking me what was wrong and I kept ignoring him. Eventually I screamed at him that all I wanted was those chicken shawarmas and that he was a bastard for not letting me have them.

Then I was about to cry so because I didn't want to show true weakness through tears I decided to jump out of his moving car instead. He was slowing down for a Red light to be honest so I did not sustain any injuries. He was soooo shocked... He jumped out of his car and tried to chase me to convince me to get back in the car. I shouted at him so loud to leave me alone and that I would rather take a cab home. He ran back to his car as everyone was beeping at him. Low and behold there was a cop car that pulled up next to his car. The police gave him a fine because they saw everything that happened. They were asking about me and why I jumped out of his car (they thought he was trying to rape me). Anyways the police insisted they help him to find me and they drove until they saw me walking near the shawarma place. I placed my order and then the police officers approached me and asked me if I was ok.

I explained everything to them and one of the officers was trying so hard to hold his laughter in but the older one took me so seriously. He called my guy over and told him to apologize for implying that I am fat. He said in Arabic "this woman is out of your league and you should respect her". The police asked me if I wanted a ride home but at that point everything was so awkward. I declined the police and let my deadbeat boyfriend drop me home. The whole ride to mine he was telling me how he was so shit scared that the police were going to throw him in jail.

When I got home I blocked him everywhere and never spoke to him again.

After over 3,5yrs of LDR, after we moved in together, my ex started initiating fights and having jealous outbursts every month. I felt drained. He punched walls and then whined about how much his hand hurt, while I was scared shitless that if this 2meter-110kgs guy decided to, he could punch me with the same strength.

During one of the last fights, where I was already losing so much love for him by the minute, he screamed “Well if I don’t have anything to worry about and shouldn’t be jealous because you only love me, will you marry me???” and I was too scared to say anything but “yes”. I regretted it immediately, I felt sick, sad, didn’t feel like telling anyone and sharing my happiness cause there was no happiness.

I figured he only did so to keep me around because 2-3 weeks after, I still didn’t have a ring (after his scream-posal he gave me the same Pandora “promise ring” he had given me the year before and I was thinking nah buddy that’s not how it works you don’t get to tick 2 events with one ring) and there was no talk of any wedding planning and his outbursts didn’t stop.

So one afternoon after an extremely stressful exam, he took me in town to a new smoothie bowl place and upon discussing our issues, he asked to check my phone only to read my messages with the guy he was jealous of. I agreed. Soon after, he threw my phone - lo and behold, he had read my messages with my best friend, messages that he was not allowed to read, I have only allowed the messages with said guy. I had messaged my best friend about some sex dreams with said guy and my ex flipped, even though I told him I couldn’t control my dreams. He didn’t want to listen, kept being pissy and I asked myself “Do I have it in me to keep going like that? Another fight, he’ll apologize, then another fight and again… I don’t wanna marry him. I don’t even find him attractive, visually or character-wise.”

So, while crying from all those nerves (plus an all-nighter I have pulled to finish the exam), I turned to him and said I couldn’t do this anymore. He started crying too, it was messy but I felt instantly better, like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Ofc later he resorted to drinking so I felt worried for him, to eventually blaming me for not crying and not being sad over this relationship ending. He was crying his eyes out and me? The stone-cold bitch dared to be happy and enjoy life. I was happy because I was out of a toxic relationship. He was devastated because his tricks finally stopped working and I stopped fearing “I’ll never find anyone else”.

My time to shine: I was in a 3+ years relationship with a LVM who didn't want to find a decent job. Other big red flags in that relationship were: age difference (8 years) subtle negging, 0peN rElaTionSHip, performative feminism, deadbed.

I met him before starting my Master's degree, in a very bad time of my life, where I was seriously depressed. After finishing with studies I was burnt out thus I got a year that I did a silly part time job (that was more exhausting that it should be. )

Then I got my first decent job and I had to temporarily move to another city. It was there that I realized the fact that this relationship was a dead weight and potentially dangerous for me.

On the meanwhile I decided to take exams for another degree slightly related with my existing studies and when I told him he was passively-aggressively unsupportive "You never showed interest in that field". After that I knew it was over.

And now the breaking up part: I returned to my home city, and I was feverishly preparing for the exams. I was avoiding my ex, who on the meanwhile had an operation. After the operation he asked me to go and see him at the hospital. I was taking mock exams in two days and I wanted to ace them. I really didn't wanted to go and see him. He and my pickme stepmom guilt tripped me into going. And there I decided it was time to break up with him. In the hospital. It felt ridiculous and harsh at first but afterwards I was relieved. It takes a several degree of "I can't deal with your shit anymore" to break up with someone while they are recovering in the hospital.

I dated my ex for 5 years. He was abusive and controlling.

I remember the exact moment I decided to break up with him. We--me, BF, sister, sister's bf, cousin--were all visiting my parents' house for Labor Day weekend. There's a beautiful lake through the woods across from their house. We walked there, and I stripped down to my bathing suit to jump in, and I remember, clearly, as I was jumping into the water, "Oh no, he's going to mad about this." He was an insane hypochondriac and I could just imagine him going off on me because the water was dirty (it's a crystal clear Maine lake) or some other made-up problem. Whatever it was, he was going to mad about something, and I was going to get it.

And it was that little thing that did it for me, that small thing, after all the physical and mental abuse he put me through. Realizing that I was actually anticipating his insane whims in order to avoid punishment for myself. He hadn't even said anything; I just knew he'd be mad later.

But--we were on a holiday weekend with my family, and I had driven us the 6 hours to be here. So I determined I was going to wait it out, and break up with him once we got home. We ended up giving my cousin a lift back. Bf was a monster to me during the whole car ride home. I remember I politely asked if anyone minded if I smoked a cigarette out the open window (it was my car, I was driving, but I always asked when I had passengers); cousin says it's fine, bf says no. Then proceeds not 5 minutes later to pull out his pipe and start smoking weed, with the windows up. He berated me about my (completely safe) driving. He criticized my music choices. I was determined not to make a scene in front of my cousin, and just kept chanting in my head, "Nails in the coffin, nails in the coffin."

We got back around 2 in the morning. When bf got out of the car at his place, he asked me if I was going to apologize to him for his behavior. I said, "I'm tired, I'm going to drive home, but I'll call later and we can talk." Called him once I got home and broke up with him immediately, at 3 in the morning.

Bonus: my favorite thing about this story is that my sister, who is a photographer, took a photo of me at the exact moment I finally made the decision to end it. She and I had walked out to the water from the house after the lake (non)incident, and I was sitting there staring at the water smoking a cigarette and making that decision, and she snapped a photo (obviously, not having any idea what was going on in my head). I love that photo; it's one of my favorite photos of me. The moment I finally decided to throw off the chains.

It took my ex acting in the appalling, abusive way he did with me in private (violent, drunken rages were an almost daily occurrence) at a party in front of a large group of our friends for me to leave. I had wanted to leave him for a long time, but couldn’t bring myself to do it as I didn’t want to look like a bad person, breaking up for seemingly minor reasons. Although that night I was terrified, it was the best thing that could have happened, it set me free. I’ll never hang on to a shitty relationship for that long ever again and that is a huge blessing.

I was dating (and housing) this guy in college. He didn't pay rent and we worked at the same home improvement store as many people in our friend group. He left his FB up when he left one day and I read a conversation he had with another woman WHO HAD MY SAME NAME. He was saying how he doesn't really even like me he just needs a place to stay, yadda yadda yadda... I was FUMING. I started packing up his shit (actually just throwing is down the stairs onto the porch outside) while having some adult beverages. Sat on the porch with my adult beverages and waited for him to come back. It was starting to rain and he couldn't even look me in the eyes when he walked up. I spoke my mind and didn't even wait for an answer. I slammed the door shut and turned out the light on the porch so he could pack his stuff in the rain, in the dark, by himself. The next work shift he was basically ostracized by the whole work crew. No one would talk to him, respond to he calls for pick up or assistance on the intercom. Eventually he drove back to his home state without a word.

He kicked me out (of his mother’s house), during the pandemic. (You can’t mistake “get out” or “I don’t give a fuck if you live in your fucking car” or “your better be packing your fucking bags in there.”) So I got out.

He tired to guilt me into going back. He tried to tell me it was my choice that I didn’t go back. He tried to tell me that he had “no legal right to kick” me out. He tried to tell me that I could have claimed squatters rights. He couldn’t control me anymore, so he blamed me for his own actions. He blamed me for not going back to be abused by him. He blamed me for what HE did.

I’m out and I’m glad I’m out.

I had been living with my boyfriend for about 18 months. He began having trouble with his business and started taking it out on me, just being an asshole and complaining about everything I did or said.

It took about 30 minutes to drive to his shop from our house. I had already packed and moved everything he wouldn't notice. Immediately after he left for work, friends came over and quickly moved the remainder. I had left a message for him at work. I knew he wouldn't hear it for at least an hour. We were gone from the house in 45 minutes. I had left my job the day prior and started a new one the next day in a different city.

From what I heard later, he searched everywhere trying to find me, but I had vanished. The goodbye message was brutal. He even tried to claim he paid me 15k in wages to the IRS. He didn't. I had done some work in his office just to help out, but he didn't pay me do it. I had to explain to an agent that he was just trying to find me. Fortunately, when they asked for proof and he couldn't provide it, they let me off the hook.

I was with my NVX for 5 years. We got married after we’d been together 3 years. We planned to start a family. I came off the pill and got pregnant immediately. Find out when I’m 5 months pregnant that the sonofabitch had been hiding a heroin addiction for more than a year. We worked opposite shifts and he never did the nodding off thing. He went from smoking a bowl on the weekend and only having a couple beers at a summer cookout and watching football to a full blown heroin addict in a flash. I'd always dated wonderful men, and it was my first time with a classic narc - oh I hate women, they've only ever been mean to me, I've been through such a bad childhood, it's given me trauma, blah blah. PRE-FDS, I was all about needing to fix him. I had heard stories about how badly he messed up his ex GF, but it had been four years and he said he'd changed.

Fast forward six months, he turned out to be the biggest narc scrote I've ever met. Opened a splitwise account from day 1. I was all about 50-50 back then so it kinda bothered me but I thought it was 'right'. Then it began, intense jealousy if I met a friend. I'd have to coddle his insecurities about his body/face. Then periods os silence and guilt tripping. Then love bombing after a bad fight. Some weird insulting remarks he made about me during when friends were around that he called a "throwaway joke“ idek what that means asshole. Basically 6 months of this bullshit. I broke up. He said it was all his issues and promised to go to therapy and did, but that little POS just learnt how to hide his scrotey-ness better through therapy. Real loser, living in his parents balcony, gaming all day. I know better now about taking on such fix me projects

The final straw was when he bought me measly earrings worth $0.2 that I liked when we went shopping and didn't have change myself to pay for, AND HE WENT HOME AND ADDED IT TO THE SPLITWISE ACCOUNT ON MY TAB. I lost my shit.

Did a gorgeous full face of make up the next day. Drove to his place, saying we'd get lunch. Turns out he didn't wanna 'waste' lunch on a break up and moaned about how he got "dressed up" for a lunch and if it was a break up, I should've just told him (mofo was in jeans and a faded T shirt) .

I wanted to be civil and break up giving him an explanation but well I guess not 💁🏼‍♀️ so anyway, we were sitting in my car (parked inside his apartment complex) and I ordered McDonalds because I was starving. Broke up. He couldn't even be bothered to say a word. He got up and left back to his house

I was in half mind to just forget the burgers and drive back home to be away from this scrote. But then I was like, hell nah. I want my burgers.

So I waited in my car in his apartment, the burgers were delivered, sat and finished them all and some fries and coke while watching YouTube, and drove back feeling the PURE FUCKING JOY that comes with dropping a LVM like a hot potato.

This is a long-ish story but I’ll try to make it short.

Dates this guy for two years when I was really young. It ended, then about three years later we reconnected. A part of me knew it was a bad idea from the start but I had to see it through so I could prove myself right. We went to a party with his friends, all was well and fun until one of his friends approached me. He told me that I was a much better woman for my ex than his current girlfriend because I was firm and I could handle him. My brain was like, excuse me? Current girlfriend? I kept chatting with him to get more info. Ex had been seeing this girl for about 2 years and he had been cheating on her with me for the last three months.

I didn’t say anything at first because I was far away from home and ex had to drive me. The next day I set up a meeting with him because he kept texting me, then I never showed. He blew up my phone, texts, calls, emails, you name it. I completely ignored him.

Then I found his gf on FB and told her everything. That was not the last I heard from him, but it was the last he heard from me.

I knew the relationship was in trouble prior to making my decision, as I had been contemplating if his behavior was emotionally abusive or not for a while at that point. I'll spare the many, many details of our relationship, but I was constantly walking on eggshells around him because his moods would change frequently, quickly, and I had no idea what would set him off next. I found myself most at peace when he wasn't home; like I could finally relax and just "be" without someone there to criticize everything, from how I cooked, to how I loaded the dishwasher, to how many times I flushed the toilet, etc.

The moment I decided to leave him was when during an argument, I corrected him about a statement I made and he said to me, "Oh my god, if you don't stop interrupting me, I'm going to punch a hole in this wall." Some backstory on him: as a teenager, his parents had put him in anger management and in his early 20s, he broke his hand from actually punching a wall during an argument with his girlfriend at the time. I knew these things about him, but figured it was far enough in the past (he was early/mid 30s when we dated) that maybe he wasn't like that now.

Anyways, as soon as he said that, I remember thinking to myself, OK, that's it, I'm out. My logic was that if he had no problem threatening a wall with violence because of something I said, he'd have no problem turning that violence towards me at some point if I ended up really pissing him off about something.

Three days later and one week after our 2 year anniversary, I left work early, had a friend come over to help me move all of my stuff out (my soon to be ex-boyfriend was working a later shift at his job that day, so I knew he wouldn't be home), and once I was safely at my new temporary place, sent him a text saying that I didn't feel safe around him anymore, it's over, and that I had left. I promptly blocked him on everything.

I kicked him out after he was unemployed for 2.5 years on my dime. He would throw shit, threaten me, destroy the apartment, etc. It took me a long time due to fear of my life. He always carried a knife to boot...so moody man child+knife had me terrified.

Then one day I was so done, so utterly done. I went somewhere safe with my cat for a few days and I called his dad and older brothers to come get him and fake cancelled the lease so he would panic. I stayed away for a week until they could come get him.

He liked to act so tough, until daddy and big bros came by.

I ordered my favourite take out he never let me get, threw out his crap he forgot, deep cleaned my apartment for his stink, and watched cartoons.

He was traveling across the world, which during the course of our relationship was the only time the fog would lift for me. I’d be less stressed out, happier, able to freely spend my time without his demands, etc. He would always complain that I didn’t text him enough while he was gone, or show enough interest in his vacation, or miss him enough when he came back — in hindsight, this was because I didn’t actually like him all that much, but the guilt tripping made me feel like I had to make it up to him by trying harder.

Anyway, before the break up he was traveling for a month and decided to pick a fight with me over text that I never text him enough or care about him. At the time I was taking a few days off to spend with my family and didn’t have the best reception. It was just the last straw for me that he expected to have a lovely vacation and some girlfriend accessory that let him travel but also messaged him sweet things at exactly the right amount for weeks, but I couldn’t even have a pleasant two days with my family without him draining all my energy. It just clicked at that point that he was not adding anything to my life, that I was happier when I didn’t talk to him, etc.

I basically went off on him on text that he never addressed all my complaints during the relationship and neither of us were going to change, so we don’t work. He told me to leave his spare key at his house, so I went, took my stuff, left the key, and had a rather pleasant self serve break up after 2 years. Until he came back and accused me of taking my stuff and breaking up with him unfairly. Not sure if he thought it didn’t count because he was on vacation lmao.

I met with him to talk after that and it’s crazy how much the hormones or the memories or whatever can trick you into staying. I was so much more lucid that it was a shitty relationship with the actual physical distance, but once he was in front of me it was soooo much harder to let him go. That’s why we block immediately!

I ended things with my boyfriend of 4.5 years. He had a fetish which made me feel physically sick (nothing illegal just wasn't for me). He hid it at first, slowly built it up and I participated in his fetish for around 3 years.

Biggest issue was he had a "dislike" of vaginas. Foreplay was virtually non existent and I did not receive oral sex for the entire relationship due to this, he barely touched me but wanted me to participate in his extreme cross dressing.

Not really a break up, but this story is wild and I need to share. So went on a coffee date with this guy kinda last minute because tbh I was bored. Well we sit and talk and talk and talk and really hit it off. Find out we both know some of the same people, so that's reassuring. We then go for icecream. Keep talking about everything & anything- he's got a very high paying job, has some side hustles, owns his own home, recently traveled to Montana- the guy seems great! We lose track of time and keep talking until dinner, where he paid (he also bought everything prior). By the end of the night I'm feeling great!

Well I text one of the people I know asking for info on him. She didn't want remember him (which she thought was a good sign bc that means he wasnt horrible). I'm still feeling pretty good. Go to do my night routine and I'm flooded with texts from her- all pics. Its my date in the fall with a different girl. Then him with the same girl in the spring. Then him down on one knee in a pic posted TWO WEEKS PRIOR WHILE HE WAS IN MONTANA.

So at this point ik I'm blocking/deleting but I hate letting trash get away with shit so I send him the pics with only the caption "...?" To which he claims his fiance called it off blah blah blah. Two weeks and you're back to dating?? You disrespect your past relationship like that AND me by trying to rebound? I didnt even respond but he and the app I met him on are both deleted from my phone now. But hey I got coffee, icecream, and dinner out of it- small price to pay for my company 💅
