People feel better when they are happy. People strive to be happy. They avoid activities that make them unhappy and tru try to do things that make them happy.

Its absolute cap that that relationships cannot be a source of happiness. Relationships can definitrly be a big source of happiness. Its absolutely valid to want to have that like anything else and telling people they dont want it is wrong.

Imagine nit being able to enjoy in that but watching everyone else enjoy their relationships can make people feel like they are missing out. Imagine standing behind the chain link fence at the amusement park, watching your friends have the most fun in the world, and not being to partake in that. And then someone tells you you should be happy because you at least have a rock and can play with that. Telling them to deny those feelings is wrong.

I can tell you from my experience that while yes relationshios have ups and downs, they ultimately bring you more happiness which is a huge reason we get into them. Why would anybody get into a relationship if it made them less happy than before ? Yes some relationships devolve but that first period is always a honeymoon period where you feel much better than you did before

Instead of telling/gaslighting lonely men into believing they arent unhappy and telling them to ignore their wants, tell them how to achieve what they want. When you ask for advice in other fields is better if the person advises you how to achieve what you want rather than telling you its hopeless.

EDIT 1: I get what y'all are saying. Relationships should not be your only source of happiness. But is completely valid to feel sad if you don't have one, while everyone else has one, and being in a relationship can definitely make you happier. By point is that telling sad, lonely, single men they should be content with what they had is invalidating their feelings, and instead the response should be on how they can achieve what they want.
