Curious pattern. Women overall seem to have an easier time simply owning if they don’t like a guy. “Ew no he’s gross” and move on. Whereas a lot of men do this thing where they clearly are over a woman or not into her and then passively sabotage and then blame it all on her for not being exactly his dream girl at all times and insist he would’ve been the best she ever had and a perfect partner but she just didn’t appreciate it or wasn’t charming and kind enough to him. Meanwhile he’s totally sending signals he DGAF about her. Then he’s blindsided by her getting mad or leaving. Like he figured she wasn’t sentient enough to realize someone didn’t like her.

I’m curious why men have a harder time just saying they don’t want some woman and have to beat to death all these reasons she didn’t perform right. I don’t think it’s the typical canned “women are wonderful so they can’t directly dislike them” thing. I just see more women being able to say they just didn’t like someone’s vibe and men who struggle to own their own feelings of dislike and instead present it as “oh she could’ve had the best husband and life with me if she’d just been a little better…” instead of just admitting he didn’t like her.

It's so fucking weird watching women very blatantly and embarrassingly flirt with a guy who's already taken and has a girlfriend. It's like, knowing that a guy already has the stamp of approval from another woman instantly makes him attractive in their eyes and draws him to them. A guy who's single and available will receive no such attention, even though he doesn't already have someone. And God help him if he's a virgin and never had a girlfriend, because that just makes him dead to most women. Its like a guy with no previous job experience, nobody wants to hire him or give him the starting job experience, and once you reach a certain age its socially unacceptable to have no experience and you're just dead to the dating world.

Idk if it’s just me but I’ve noticed there aren’t that many middle of the road women on this sub, as opposed to the men.

1 - fucking annoying

2 - kind of annoying

3 - just okay

4 - pleasant

5 - pretty darn likable

I feel like most women here are 1s, 4s or 5s. Maybe the 3s are forgettable and that’s why I feel this way.

Being a good listening ear, I often have to learn some secrets my guy friends keep that I would rather not know. For example, a closet bisexual male friend lies about being bi to his girlfriend because his girlfriend does not want to date a bi man. This made me feel conflicted since the girlfriend is my friend as well. But I choose to not tell her since I value friendship with him more.

Another dude tells me he could not afford to pay a bride price to marry his girlfriend. She and her family are conservative so they are not going to reduce the price. So he’s doing push and pull thing to pressure her to have sex with him since the bride price will decrease if the bride is no longer a virgin. Not sure if that will work though.

On one hand I regret learning these dark secrets, but on the other hand my morbid curiosity must be satisfied. I am lucky they don’t waste their time on Reddit so I can dump all these secrets here haha.

I have always sucked at using a 1-10 rating system for looks. Like what exactly is the difference between a 7 and 8 looks man? Or a 5 and 6? It gets worse when people start being all "he's a 6.5" or "she's got a 9 ass but 6 face". Okay so I have a question for the alcoholics out there. I don't do alcohol really at all. And I'm headed to my in-laws and they drink wine and other alcohols etc. So I've been thinking I should probably start bringing a gift in the future because they're so nice to us stay with them etc.

One thing I learned this year is- in order to have a successful relationship- you really need to communicate. Before feminism- we had courtship rules that were understood by men and women. Monogamy meant one person for life- and having sex for the first time. Now monogamy is one person at a time, and when we are married we stop having sex with others.

This means- we don’t have a relationship model anymore. Everything is fair game. We have MORE freedom (but more uncertainty since nothing is defined). It’s up to the partners in the relationship to define everything (what is cheating, what is monogamy to us, what type of sex we want, what type of relationship we want etc etc).

This is where I’m seeing people struggling (including myself). It’s like we still want the old courtship but we ourselves aren’t living old courtship lifestyles, while also asking for 2021 feminism. I can see why men get confused on what women want- I would be too

How do you know when a guy is self-sabotaging?

Any man complaining about his dating outcome will at some point be told that if he only improved his personality, got more confident, stopped viewing women as sex objects, stopped going after Stacy, in other words if he got out of his own way, the issue would be solved.

I had to look this up but this is a fallacy called affirming the consequent, from Wiki: taking a true conditional statement (e.g., "If the lamp were broken, then the room would be dark"), and invalidly inferring its converse ("The room is dark, so the lamp is broken"), even though the converse may not be true.

But how do you know if the lamp is actually broken? Have you met men who self-sabotaged, and more specifically men who self-sabotaged more than the average (cus even Chad puts his foot in his mouth on a date)? How can you know that a PPD poster is getting in his own way?
