Take sex. If you want a relationship and longevity; is Tinder the place to find it? Instead vetting through friends, family and networks should be your base vetting standard. If you’re network poor then that’s first priority. If your networks still aren’t helping/can’t help; build more. Until you’re socialising in circles, where you’re meeting suitable partners.

You can’t ensure you won’t get ghosted. You can though be discerning, with whom you choose to socialise, vet and ultimately sleep with.

I was reading this thread here and there is literally a woman talking about going on a date with a guy she is barely attracted to. Why? Depends on what exactly you mean by "3 dates". How long and how often have you been talking? Did you meet at a party and hit it off off night, then talk every day for a month before going on your first date or was your first date a coffee with a guy you matched with yesterday on tinder? Context about the time and effort between the 3 dates is more important than the 3 dates.

The "trick" is to not go out with someone who is not genuinely also enjoying to spend time with you. If you have fun together while having a date and you don't request him to spend hundreds of dollars on you it should not be a problem.

Remember that while sex is important also having chemistry and a connection is important.

Just communicate honestly that you used to have sex on the second date and now you want to wait fir whatever before going out with him. As long as you communicate before any dates happen it is fine
