"Women are shut-in too" or "women have poor social skills too" is a counter that accomplishes nothing.

Men and women are different. Have different turn-ons. Have different turn-offs. Have different physiology. Have different lived experiences. And thus, have different approaches to dating.

Being inhibited, diffident, antisocial, anti-sociable, insular, socially awkward, grossly unintuitive, uncomfortably non-perceptive, etc. is a death knell to a straight man's dating success. All else equal, he will absolutely be less successful than a man who isn't the above.

The listed behavioral shortcomings are more of a detriment to straight men than they are to straight women.

When you see two Average Joe's of average height and average face and an average job and average style, yet one has had a history of girlfriends and is presently laughing and having a good time at the bar watching the Phillies and the other is a self-proclaimed "incel" ...the issue is highly likely the bolded blocking the latter's dating blessings.

Maybe he has that personality. Maybe he and his sister grew up in a family that is just like that. No fault of their own.

But the reality is, her inhibited shy average self is going to have an easier time finding a man, than he will finding a woman.

Knowing this, I get the inclination to "the juice ain't worth the squeeze" oneself. But you'll gain nothing by not altering your actions to get outcomes closer to what you desire -- don't default into placing yourself in a self-fulfilling devolving loop.
